Came thru to buy some wraps left with weights and a belt as well, very good store super friendly staff "Sam" helped me out and was a solid dude. I'd recommend here almost every time

Staff member offered little when I asked to confirm whether the coloured weight plates I was buying were competition plates. He stated they were, but upon reading product reviews, I discovered they were not.

Great store if you dont have questions. The guy working wasn't helpful at all. Barely looked up from his phone when I was asking about weights. When I asked about an item that wasn't in stock his reply was "We dont have it and that's takes months to order".
Anyways, I went home and ordered it online, it will be here in 3 days.

My initial experience wasn’t excellent but the managers there listened to my concerns and really did a fantastic job of regaining my trust and patronage. Excellent job and service. Thank you Nathan and Keaton for your thoughtful service

Keaton was really helpful with my SUP purchase. He took the time to figure out what I was going to use it for and got me something cheaper and more in-tune with what I needed. Honestly like the paddle board so much I went back and got a second one for the family!

I was looking to replace a compete home gym setup that I had sold a decade ago. The team took me through the current options, explained how functional trainers offered the best of both worlds and I couldn't be happier with my Inspire ft2. Every time I use it I discover something else that I can do and contine to be amazed by its versatility.

Super helpful and great pricing for fitness studio owners. 10/10 will continue to give them my business.

Not sure if he is the owner or just a front desk worker, but the big guy at the front desk is always terrible to deal with. He is rude, un inviting has very poor customer service, and any time I’ve ever referred anyone to get equipment from there they come back saying the exact same thing. It’s very unfortunate due to the stores accessible location, and how many people need the service in the city. Fitness Depot has always been the best place in town to go, actually offered a good customer experience but now that they’ve shut down it’s really unfortunate how poorly staffed flamman is.

If you are looking for fitness equipment you have to check out Flaman. We were looking for a recumbent bike and Jordan was extremely helpful in explaining the features on each bike. He and Keaton gave us detailed explanations about the regular and extended warranty and arranged for next day delivery and installation. Rafael is extremely skilled at building fitness equipment. When he had finished he placed the bike right where we wanted it and took away all the packaging. Flaman is a no pressure, very friendly place with excellent staff and products.

Jordan was friendly, knowledgeable and able to help me find exactly what I needed. Will definitely be my go to place for fitness equipment in the future.

Keaton whom is the manager at this location has been easy & pleasant to deal with. My partner & I recently bought a new home & wanted to put a gym in. Keaton was patient with us emailing back & fourth adjusting our order & quote as we asked questions & requested changes. When it came time for delivery who was it that delivered everything to us with a smile? Keaton! It's wonderful meeting a young man that has passion for what he does & excellent customer service. Just bought some free weights and a mat to upgrade my home workout experience. The staff was amazing, really helpful and easy to talk to. I had to order one thing in and it came super fast. This is the only place I will buy workout equipment from now.

My experience shopping at the Victoria store left me completely satisfied. Keaton and the other salesman where extremely knowledgeable with the stores equipment. It felt as though I was dealing with a friend. He’s a dog lover much like myself which also helped. Hats off to Keaton and his associate!

Had a great experience today as a first-time customer. Keaton helped me find the product I was looking for quickly and at a great price-point. The store was immaculate, organized and welcoming.

I ordered a bike back in January and after some pandemic related delays it arrived recently. The new manager, Keaton, has been really helpful! I probably ended up talking to about 3 separate people handling my order due to various factors but since it landed on Keaton’s desk it’s been clear communication and smooth sailing. He’s been very responsive to my questions, very knowledgeable about the products and what the best fit is for my purposes, and most importantly to me, personally, I found him honest about the quality of the products (not disparaging of the quality but realistic about the difference in price and the lifespan of the product which I appreciated). He is professional, very personable, considerate, and an excellent communicator- everything you want in someone you’re trusting to supply you with fairly expensive equipment. He was also very apologetic about the delays to my order, and gave me some discounts for the trouble, even though the delays were not within his control. Great experience over all, highly recommend!

Do yourself a favor and ask for Nathan Blackler [Store Manager] when you arrive at the store. Friendly, knowledgeable & works within your budget to give you the best options regarding the equipment you're looking for. His no 'BS' approach was greatly appreciated. We purchased the Spirit XT185 Treadmill based on his recommendation and we couldn't be happier. He personally loaded it in our vehicle (230lbs) and even let us use the extra store dolly for an hour to load it into our house. 10/10 Experience. Be sure to wear your Air Jordans:) Thanks Nathan!

Wow! Best deal in town for bumper plates by far, had what I needed in stock, got back to me right away with a question, and carried my plates out to my car for me. Great customer service and great experience! Thanks Nathan, you rock!

Bad customer service. I was the only customer in the store, the employee/manager stayed behind the desk. Was not interested in answering my questions and seemed annoyed if I asked anything. I consider myself intermediate-advanced fitness level, and I can only imagine how much worse it would be if a novice came in the store.

Plus the small product that I did end up buying was almost half the price at Fitness Depot, take your business there, much more helpful and friendly staff, better selection and prices as well.

I have to give a big thank you to Nathan. I spoke with him a few times on the phone this week. I knew what I wanted and felt that I should give a deposit over the phone given the limited availability of product during covid. Nathan insisted I not rush my purchase and come down and try the equipment I wanted before purchasing. I drove down from Nanoose Bay and met Nathan. I don't know where to begin. I have been working out for more than 10 years consistently and feeling great about myself with my physical health which of course makes a huge impact our mental health. When Covid-19 began it was tough to get through for the past little while until my neighbor Brant recommended Nathan at Flaman when he noticed my excitement about his home gym. I was just so blown away by the set up and he recommended that I go check them out. I went in close to closing time on a Saturday and met with Keaton Browniee, all I can say is these guys are incredible - Keaton was amazing, transparent, and extremely knowledgeable, he made it one of the best buying experiences possible and I've been working out daily now with my new setup! I LOVE my set up, I can't stop thinking about how happy I am to be able to work out each day and make it all work and flow with my lifestyle to prioritize my mind and body! Thank you so much big shout out and I commend the team here - see them for all of your needs!

Worst experience.guy with the beard needs to learn customer service. Empty store, coulda sold that spin bike to me if you had a clue. When I come in a say sell me a spin bike, "3 gees man", all you had to do was tell me about it, i did back my truck up for easy loading for a reason.

I had a great experience at Flaman Fitness. Nathan was kind, knowledgable, honest, and a pleasure to work with. He was able to quickly figure out what I was looking for and able to recommend a great quality product that fit exactly what we needed. Great experience - Highly recommend!

At first I wondering what the advantage was of going to the storefront compared to the Flaman Website. But over time I've learned there is a lot of extra value the staff there and the location provides. When I describe what I'm trying to do, the staff listen and provide several options and ideas for different equipment to try. I wouldn't have that kind of discussion looking at a website by myself. When they have stuff in stock, you can just pick it up without having to wait for shipping. Shipping heavy equipment is also another issue altogether - it's in the nature of fitness equipment that shipping logistics is something everyone has to deal with. It is really helpful to have someone at the shop who has your back and helps you understand the process that's required to get you what you need.
In general, I've also noticed Flaman has sales from time to time and the prices are unbeatable. It's been really helpful to stay in touch with them and build up the equipment I have at home at the moment. I have several sets of bumper plates, half rack, and bench that I picked up from the Victoria location.
I'm glad they have a brick-and-mortar shop in Victoria and hope they'll be around for a long time!

More then pleased with the assistance I received from Nathan, I was looking for a particular piece to upgrade my home gym and when it wasn’t available he pointed me in the direction of another one. Not only did it have everything I was looking for in this machine but it was a much higher quality machine then the original one I was interested in. What stands out to me is in these Covid times fitness equipment is at a premium and I did come into contact with other stores before contacting Nathan and got the “this is what we have, take it or leave it cuz if you don’t somebody else will” attitude. Not Nathan, he really took the time to work with me and help me find a more then suitable solution for what I wanted. I will be upgrading my home gym further in the future and I won’t be shopping around. I will be bringing my business his way again without a doubt. Service is everything to me and I know he’ll look after me. Cheers

I went in for a specific small item, but wasn't sure what it was called

I was immediately treated very rudely. Although I did totally space out and walk past a covid stop here sign (my bad), they could have been a little nicer.

I then told one guy what I was looking for, who rudely directed me to another guy behind the counter (who probably overheard me)

He gave me the blankest stare and asked me what I wanted.
I fumbled, and tried to explain it. He rudely pointed to a wide selection.
I asked what the differences were and eventually made a decision.

All in all, I felt very unwelcome, and they were in no way happy to see me or help me out.
If you're new to fitness and need some guidance, I suggest going elsewhere

I'm very happy to take my business somewhere else!

My husband and I were on the hunt for equipment for our home gym. On a whim, we decided to swing by Flaman Fitness and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. We ended up purchasing a smith cage machine (that I call the Transformer) and it was seamless. Which is really something considering the shortage of supplies everywhere.

Overall we found that their prices are very good and the staff, especially Nathan, are extremely helpful, accommodating, knowledgeable and low pressure. I would and will recommend anyone looking for gym equipment to contact the folks at Flaman.

Wife had a great customer experience. She was in and out within 20 mins, the guys loaded the new bike purchase in the car.

For the past 6 years, my wife and I had the unique pleasure of living by this Flaman Fitness! Our story with Nathan, the store manager, began only a couple years ago. Here it is; bear with me:

My wife and I decided to foster a 9-month old Husky/Lab, that we called Lucy, from the Victoria Humane Society. As many in Victoria know, foster dogs often come with unique challenges, and Lucy was no different. She had never been appropriately socialized, to anything, nor potty trained. It was busy to say the least.

Daily, my wife or I would walk by Flaman Fitness. Nathan, being an absolute dog lover, in addition to being a kind person, wanted to say "hello". I mean, Lucy is a pretty cute dog. Little did Nathan know at the time, was that Lucy was scared of EVERYONE, almost to the point of endangerment to those who tried to get close. This did not deter Nathan. Day after day, he would come out, and day after day, he got a little closer to Lucy. He bought special treats for her and respected our gentle tips and coaching. This is not to say he was not already good with dogs, but it was that Lucy was so unique in her needs.

Fast forward to today, and Lucy is a completely changed dog. While she still is a little cautious around new people, she is no longer overtly threatened by them. I can 100% say without a doubt, that without Nathan's compassion and love for Lucy, she would not have rehabilitated as quickly as she did. Nathan's contribution to her and our life cannot be understated. He is an amazing person!

Of course his staff deserve some recognition as well. Keaton is also an amazing person to us and to Lucy. He has a gentle disposition about him that also enabled Lucy to overcome her fear of people.

Back to business:

I know that the staff at Flaman Fitness - Victoria really care. It's evident in how they treat their neighbours, in addition to the many interactions that I have seen personally. My hope for them is that they receive the same care that they show other people.

I just wanted to say that I went down to Flamans the other day to buy a percussion massage device and I could not have had a better experience. I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman named Keaton and he took me through all the options with patience and support in my decision and needs. No pressure felt AT ALL, just an unbiased honest opinion on what would work best for me.

We were looking for a Christmas gift for our son and were disappointed when it looked like the store didn't have what we needed in stock. But later that day the store manager emailed to say he'd tracked the item down in the stockroom. I was impressed at his effort to find what we wanted and follow up with us. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for knowledgable staff who go out of their way to meet their custoners needs.

We highly recommend going to Flaman Fitness for your equipment needs. Nathan was friendly, honest and very knowledgeable, no pressure sales here. We found all we were looking for, we were able to take home two pieces of equipment immediately and just a couple week wait on our Bowflex bike, reasonably priced too.

It was a pleasure to shop at Flaman. The store is clean and well equipped. Nathan was prompt, helpful and efficient. He even helped us carry our dumbbells to our car.
I was pretty impressed to know that Flaman donates 2/3rd of its profits to charities. It is wonderful that such businesses exist!

I was given the name of Flaman Fitness by the Cedar Hill Rec Center to find a piece of exercise equipment that I was looking for. They did not disappoint. I dealt with Nathan and he was extremely polite and very helpful. I also learned that they support three local charities. They are across from Mayfair on Douglas on a corner with their own parking which was most helpful.
I highly recommend them if you are looking to buy some equipment. I will certainly be going back.

One of the creepiest, least professional, and least socially aware experiences I’ve ever had at a store.

Came from out of town to find a part for our treadmill. We got there early, and had a coffee while we waited in the car. This intense looking bearded guy started staring us down out front, and kept just staring in our car for 15 minutes straight -without breaking focus-. Finally he came up to our car, and instead of being courteous or telling us when he was opening, he just told us to leave. Why you would open a business only to intentionally try to intimidate your clientele is beyond me.

We purchased a brand new Treadmill in Victoria BC and they delivered it to Salt Spring Island on time and set it up. Jorge and Nathan were the two guys and they were great. I would consider buying future equipment from those guys at Flaman.

I walked into the shop and they had what I was looking for available. Very helpful staff were friendly and totally exceeded my expectations for customer service. It was a lovely surprise because I had just that day looked for the same item at one of their competitors’ shops where the staff couldn’t find the item and didn’t come up with an alternative beyond ‘try somewhere else’.

I would definitely recommend shopping with these guys!

Great Customer Services. My husband and I bought a compact Treadmill and a Max Trainer which we love it. I was so happy that I sent my neighbor to Paul to buy the same treadmill that I bought and she was very pleased with the whole experience too. I highly recommend this store and Paul.

Reached out in store in August for Pro Style Dumbbell Handles that could fit six plates a side (as advertised on the webstore). I was told in store that they would ship them in and notify me when they were in store. 2 weeks go by no call.

I call asking for an update and learn this was a mistake. This keeps happening until today. I never get feedback from Flaman even thought they tell me they will give a me a call back and they never ship the handles.

Today I learn they have handles but they are not the correct ones. I had a simple request and flaman has wasted my time - these are not good partners for anyone looking for fitness equipment.

Service good. Usually they don't keep much of the stuff in stock. There is a 2 weeks waiting for shipping.

Great customer service and price range. Very thorough will equipment knowledge and didn't try to up-sell.
