Okay breakfast place, but wouldn't go out of my way to come back. Have a bit of a bone to pick regarding the Hollywood Bowl containing "Brisket". It's not Brisket, it is definitely thick cut Montreal Smoked Meat.

One of the waitresses was sick and kept walking around while coughing. She should have been sent home, it was very off putting.

Loved the experience. Friendly staff. It was a busy day but they did great! I left my phone the day I left to come back to Washington & they kindly helped get it back to me. Thanks a bunch! Highly recommended!

Was excited to have this diner so close by. In the beginning ing they were great but quickly disappointed. A group of us had planned on having breakfast once every week. However, the breakfasts keep coming cold and the service increasingly got poor. We did give them lots of warning as we would return some breakfasts and mention to the server that it was cold. My husband still liked to order the odd chicken burger on the weekend. This weeks burger was skimpy o. The toppings and the fries were a mere handful. I am left with the impression that they really don’t care. Maybe there are enough patrons, that management is not concerned by losing one group of 8 weekly customers.

Probably the best atmosphere out of the four locations in Victoria. A lot of care was taken in to making a unique appearance but still keeping the feel of Floyd's. A bit of a drive out of the city but it's in a great location for anyone north in the city. Would eat again.

Took my girlfriend to the Brentwood Bay location and it was my first time as well. We had a fantastic time, I had the BC Hash and she had The Mahoney, well what a plate of food. Like holy cow. Definitely going to visit again, thanks so much.

Floyd's has become almost an institution around greater Victoria. If you want a big meal in a fun atmosphere with a chance to gamble for a free meal, this is the place. There is almost always a wait at each of the 4 (5?) Locations. They have this thing called the "Mahoney" on the menu. You don't know what you're going to get, but it's BIG. After you eat it you can pay the standard charge, or flip double or nothing. My buddy and coworker ALWAYS orders it, and ALWAYS flips double or nothing. Today it was me and my wife for breakfast. We were greeted by several of the servers and waiting staff. The place is very personable and friendly. They hire the right people in my experience.
I'm not a breakfast person, really much preferring lunch or dinner. I ordered the Lumberjack plate which was huge.no, enormous. I couldn't eat but half of it, and I'm a BIG guy. She had the Herb Hudson, a chicken and waffles dish which was also very big. I'm not crazy about their hash browns which appear to be deep fried. I also think the pancakes are much too big. Apart from my preferences, I still highly recommend giving the place a try.

Fresh real food served in large portions with great service!

This morning I went to the Brentwood Bay restaurant with my son and daughter. The plan was to eat there but my son's stomach started hurting pretty much as soon as we were seated, so instead we ordered the food to go.
Eventhough it was just past 8 am it was really busy.
Our food came pretty fast, we paid and went home.

When we got there I noticed our order was incomplete, so I called and the really nice girl that got the call said, after apologizing profusely, I could get a gift card or we could go back and get the food whenever was convenient for us. We live pretty close by, so I said I could just go back and pick up the food.
When we got back to the restaurant, the hostess apologized again and gave us a gift card (which really wasn't necessary) and our freshly prepared food.
I worked in the service industry for almost 10 years, so I know how things can get a little crazy in the kitchen when there are 8 or so orders coming in at pretty much the same time, and I really appreciate how they went the extra mile to fix a mistake.
The food was delicious and the service excellent! We'll definitely be going back!

The manager working this particular Sunday morning was horrible and needs to learn better customer service skills. Won’t be going back.

Out and about stopped in to FLoyds DIner our first time excellent food and service highly recommend

I've been regularly eating at Floyd's since 2007 and this location has the same excellent service and food as all the other locations. I am slightly disappointed I can't have breakfast here as I start work at 7: 30am, but at least I can duck out for lunch from time to time.

Edit: This is a brand new location and it's VERY popular, with probably the largest parking lot between all other locations. I've since eaten here at 8: 30am, 11: 30am, 12: 30pm and 2: 30pm respectively, across multiple weekends and weekdays. Expect a wait between 10am and 2pm. This is pretty much on par with all locations though, and is due to their popularity. I come here for the quality food, attentive service, and nostalgic atmosphere. I wouldn't recommend it for a "quick bite" after 8: 30am. Being "too popular" can be a bit of a course, but it won't stop me from coming back from time to time.

FLOYD'S is great. You round the corner, you see that bright pink building and your stomach says "here.lets go here".

The food is always good, service is fast and friendly too.

Note to the server. If I give you a 20 for a 14.00 bill don't ASK if I want change tell me that you'll be back with my change. It comes off as greedy and entitled. Won't go back.

I would like to start of by saying I am not usually a breakfast person but the breakfast at Floyd’s is to die for. The bc hash was amazing the portions, sausage and bacon particularly were amazing. That was the best bacon I have ever had! I was so full and satisfied. My server ying was so friendly and informative. Although the wait times for food were a little long our server kept coming back to check on our drinks and refill them for us. We were so pleased with her service and kindness. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you!

Thank you for the great experience. We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and were greeted right away by a hostess in reindeer antlers full of kind, fun energy! Our server Fel was fantastic too! Awesome atmosphere, great food as always…. Welcome to Brentwood.

First time at Floyd’s at any location, very busy and service was not slowed at all by this. Our server Lindsey was so sweet and our food was great. Me and my grandma will be back for multiple visits

I am so excited for a Floyd's location so close to me instead of having to drive all the way down town. My one regret is that it closes so early. Hopefully they can extend the hours soon.

This was our first experience at Floyd's. We tried to go for brunch / lunch on Thursday, but the parking lot was full and we were told that the wait was 45 minutes, standing outside in the cold, since the space inside the entrance was crowded with other people waiting. We came back on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 1: 30 pm (thinking that it would be more quiet), but the parking lot was full again and we had to wait outside and then inside with a cluster of other people. (I was a bit sad that nobody seated offered my elderly father a place to sit despite his cane and obvious discomfort.) We gave our name for a party of 2 and waited 20 minutes, and noticed people who arrived after us getting seated ahead of us, and learned that my name had not been taken down, so we had been waiting for nothing. We tried again and were seated within 15 minutes. The table service was excellent, but the food was not. DON'T ORDER THE PANCAKES; DON'T ORDER THE BACON. The bacon so badly overcooked that it was charred black. The round disc potatoes were stale and limp, not even warm, and the pancakes were big plated-sized blobs, doughy and flavorless, like old Smitty's pancakes. Link sausages were tasty, and the regular coffee was good (Canterbury, $7/cup). Toast was soggy and cold when it arrived, and we were nearly ready to leave when some jam was provided upon request. I walked away from a huge plate of food that I did not enjoy. The menu is complicated. If we come back, we'll try to be more discerning. Oh, and we waited about an hour and 15 minutes for the food. We suspect the crowds at this point are due largely to the novelty. Hopefully, the experience will go better as kinks get ironed out and crowds ease up. Compliments to whoever made the decisions on bright and interesting interior decor.
