Fontile Kitchen & Bath

This is the place to go if you need to do some serious tile shopping. We went here first before making a day of hitting up all the tile shops in Vancouver and Richmond. We had excellent service and more tile choices than the others combined. Wasted an entire day only to find we should have just made our purchases there.

Good tile selection and good service. They have customer parking at the rear of the building. Definitely put them on your list if you are shopping for tiles.

Worst customer service. No one bothered to even greet me. I needed 3 particular samples for a project I’m working on, asked if I should grab them myself as they looked busy and she sassily remarked “No. Those are for us not for you”. Well actually, they’re for your customers, Donna. That’s what samples are.

Also please do not refer to women as girls. Incredibly insensitive and condescending.

Great selection of higher-end, harder-to-find tile. They had a specialty tile I was looking for and couldn't find at other stores and even better, they had it in stock. James Gu was very efficient and easy to deal with. Pick up of the tile was also very efficient. The tile I bought was large pieces and awkard to transport, however the Fontile warehouse crew took care of loading it into my vehicle and making sure it was secure to prevent any damage during transport. Would recommend both Fontile and James.

Really rude, tried to ask for assistance and were completely ignored. We asked the gentleman at the desk if he could recommend a style of tile and he basically kept working on his computer and didn’t even look up and said no. We then asked if he could provide a recommendation on tile, and he kept looking at his computer and said no - he was doing his best to let us know we weren’t welcome. As soon as other customers came in speaking his language he jumped up and ran to help them. Pretty disappointing, we left feeling bewildered since we’d been recommended to go there and we’d spent an hour to get down to the store. Definitely felt discriminated against. We then went to HL Tile Depot and had the opposite experience - very helpful and welcoming.

Purchased tiles for a renovation from this company. The driver delivered an entire package of tiles in pieces to me. Additionally, the non fractured pieces all have manufacturing/ storage defects. Fontile has taken no responsibility for any of their faulty manufacturing/ delivery. I have requested re-imbursement for the fractured tiles and still after 2 months of having been given the run around, I have had no resoultion to this and have filed a fradulant activity with my credit company against them. Avoid dealing with Pia specially. She is a wolf in a sheep skin. She is very quick and punctual when she wants to earn you money but quicker than you cn imagine to shrug off the problem and give you the run around when you ask for the mistakes to be remedied. Do Not deal with this company. They are not worth the investment and they have very little integrity. Specially AVOID PIA!

You can find a rare design and good qty for a small project. They may not notice what reasons you there, but they know what they are doing there business. Just ask.

Kato was really helpful during our renovation project. He helped us find the best material at the best price.

We received great service from Gary. He knew his stuff and was keen to understand what design we were looking for. He gave us great advice on finding the right product without giving us sales pressure. Because we were in a rush we couldn't afford the lead time (8 weeks from Italy) Gary recommended us another place to get what we needed.

Pia was fantastic. Great help to me on several trips in to the store. Honest opinions and great service.

Warehouse crew are prompt and polite. Staff in showroom can't be bothered to help you, make sarcastic comments to each other about customers and aren't trained to take returns. Good tile, questionable service.

I was very impressed with my trip here, especially due to Laurence who was very helpful and friendly. The guy downstairs seemed a lot less friendly so we didn't spend much time with him, but Laurence was very patient with us and turned the experience into 5-stars - thank you! Tons of selection and good prices here too.

Very poor and rude service, I am a professional installer, I called twice traying to place an order for pick up and the first time they left me on the line, the second time the lady contacted me with sales and the guy who answer when I said I wanted to order material he asked how come I had his phone and why I was calling!? And I said because I want to buy from you, then he said just come to the store, I did and I am here outside right now about to leave since I was waiting around 10 min in tbe front desk but there is no one.
I wouldn't recomend, Pacific rim is not that close to me but from now on I would just go there since here they don't like their clients.

Fontile is easily the best tile retailer/showroom in Vancouver with a huge selection of 3D, unique and stylish tiles. I’ll start off by saying that they only sell high quality tiles so don’t expect Home Depot prices. The Staff are always friendly and very helpful and will suggest different styles to help make your vision a reality; they are also very knowledgeable and know their product very well.

After visiting several tile shops over the years in the lower mainland and Seattle region, I was very pleased with the attentive service at Fontile. Designers Shuper and Pia had insightful design tips and took the time to demonstrate things that no other designers did (eg how natural stone tiles change shades when wet- a deciding factor on tile selection) Both have international design experience with a varity of helpful & unique insights. And the price point of some European tiles is very appealing. Highly recommend Fontile.
