Dr. Ableman is great but the appointments never happen as scheduled. Usually about 1 hour after the scheduled time.

What’s going on? The entire phone appointment call is not even 1 min. I didn’t finish my sentence Dr. Khadhder already hung up? That’s helpful!

The reception staff is rude & disrespectful. After a hour wait on the phone. They do t have patience to listen to the caller and their needs. Rather being Courteous they disconnected the phone.

My doctor told me I have high blood pressure and amnesia. I said well thank goodness I don't have high blood pressure.

I was very lucky that when I was advised to have an issue physically examined in 24-48 hours that I was able to get a same day walk-in appointment. The thing I'd really like to highlight is that I felt heard by everyone I interacted with at Foothills Medical Clinic. That has not always been my experience and I often dread having to make appointments and see doctors. This is partly because I'm scared and partly because when I get an appointment, I end up feeling like an item on a to-do list that needs to be rushed through. It was so reassuring and calming to feel heard by the front staff and Dr. Azer that day. I felt my issue was taken seriously and I really appreciated that they took an approach to my care that involved ruling the really scary thing out. When it comes down to it, I felt incredibly cared for during my time booking an appointment and when I was in the clinic. Thank you for taking a scary situation and making it feel okay!

I saw Dr. Ubhi as a walk-in, he was dismissive, negligent and dishonest.
He did not believe my positive pregnancy tests and denied me care as I was seeking an abortion. He also tried to lie about my in-clinic test result, just saying "you're not pregnant. " -until I pressed further what the result was. He told me it was "slight, but likely wrong, it happens. "
I believe anyone, with any reproductive knowledge, knows this is not true. False positives make up less than 1% of test results.

If he truly did believe I was not pregnant, but still showing HCG, I could have cancer and this negligence could be life threatening. I also could be having a dangerous pregnancy, causing my cycles and pregnancy to not line up.

I am filing a proper complaint about his lack of care with the CPSBC once my proper care has been done elsewhere.

I would like to add that my previous experience getting a pap check, and with front desk staff has been nothing but positive. I cant describe Dr. Ubhi as anything but a monster who has now caused a likely long-lasting trauma

I've always had the best treatment at this clinic. All of the Drs and staff are kind and respectful.

I just had the best telephone booking experience with Nicole at the front desk. She was extremely helpful - located a form that I needed, followed up with the doctor and called me back within an hour. Thank you so much!

Go at 9am when they open, not 8am! I've always been in and out super fast with great service from all staff and Dr's.

We went to this clinic and got a blood test form. When we came back to see the results. They don’t have any records of the blood test. They have the chart of the visit but nothing for the blood test. The lady at the reception has no patience. She was a little bit rude I would say if you ask any questions. Terrible experience.

I feel good and I'm so great to get the confirmation notice very quickly this time for my appointment through the on line.

Myself and my family have been patients of Dr. Ableman's for over 20 years. Appointments via telemedicine usually same day or two days. He is a great diagnostician. His staff at the front desk have been great, especially during the pandemic.

I really need my blood results back. They won't answer the phone, don't return messages as promised nor answer email. It is very stressful to wonder if you're ok, or not. I still don't know!

I really really do not want to go back to this Clinic, but when kid is sick, we just have no choice. When one of the doctor move from another clinic to that Foothills, they missed one of my family member and one of us do not have a family doctor because of their mistake. Today, I went in for my daughter, which she has the family doctor in Foothills, they promise to call between 9am to 1pm. 1: 05pm, no one has called. I called back, clinic is closed for the day. Friendly Front Desk Staff.

No appointments available when I called to get one, now I called well in advance and they would not take my appointment.told to call back.

I’m not sure why there are so many poor reviews. My first experience with Foothills Medical Clinic was great! Yes, there was a bit of a wait on the phone to be connected with reception but this is most clinics, especially with staff shortages and growing populations. Once I was connected, the receptionist was polite and informative. When I arrived for my appointment, I filled out the covid pre-screening and again, the front desk staff were polite and courteous. Within a few minutes of being seated, the doctor was ready to see me. I saw Dr. Do and she was efficient and professional. I will definitely visit this clinic again and I would recommend anyone to visit for your medical needs.

They have very well experienced doctors at this clinic ; friendly front desk always bring warm and kindness; the environment is very clean and Covid-safe. It is the best clinic ever! Appreciate it!

I have a learning disability and was made to feel stupid and very uncomfortable by the receptionists. I like my doctor. Not all the receptionists here are rude but the ones I encountered today need to be educated about disabilities as well as learn better manners and compassion.

Best doctor I have had in years! He is caring and listens well. I was given a prescription for a two week period to see if I react to it at a low does (I am sensitive). I wasn’t one day of pills left and can’t get help— going to try walk in-wish me luck

My doctor is not available to book on your website. I have been on hold to change my appointment for 40 minutes and then you hung up on me.
If I can't change my appointment then I won't be held responsible for a no show. Pick up the dam phone!

Very bad service they gave me appointment at 10: 30am until 5 pm the doctor did not call after that they clinic closed

We booked a video consult via walkvirtualclinics.com and they had glitches in their system. Instead of a video call, we were booked for a phone call.

We clearly indicated the reason for the call, that my wife is pregnant and she wanted a referral to a maternity clinic; THEY SAID IT'S POSSIBLE.

During our call, the VERY RUDE doctor - who goes by the name of KADEL or KADEN, just dismissed us <2 mins and told us we needed an in-person consult. He was avoiding all our inquiries and seemed to be in a hurry. We inquired regarding the possibility of a refund, and told us that that's not possible and hung up on us after a few seconds.

Mind you, my wife and I are practicing subspecialty physicians in our country and YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO TREAT patients that way!

I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE SEEKING CONSULT IN THIS CLINIC.

If you want to sit on hold for 1.5 hours just to have them hang up then this is the office for you. Horrible receptionists. Been a patient for 19 years and they have gotten worse each year.

My husband came in first thing this morning as a walk in, was told they weren't taking walk-ins this morning and he would get a call from a doctor for a phone appointment around 11: 30am. No call at 11: 30. He called back around 1: 30 and was told the doctor was "running a little behind" but his appointment was still scheduled. My husband called back at 3: 30 to see what was going on and was put on hold until 4, at which point the voicemail said the office was closed. Don't waste your time with this place if you're a walk-in.

Update: The doctor called that day at around 5: 00pm, seems to be working independently of the clinic's hours. Glad to finally get a call, but it was 6 hours past the appointment time.

Absolutely terrible front-desk experience. Did a telehealth appointment and the pharmacy never received the prescription. After being hung up on twice by the front desk, they finally told me I had to book another appointment which I will be waiting for the end of the week to receive my prescription.

I don't know why I have to do so much digging to fix the mistake that they made.

Ableman doesn't care about anyone who isn't pregnant. He and his staff have treated my family appallingly. We've had numerous requisitions not sent from his office, botched care, and are seriously considering legal action. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC.

You couldn't be bothered to care enough about my family to provide competent treatment or diagnosis or even forward requisitions until you saw threats of legal action and now you "care"? You've made my mind up for me, caring only for your reputation now, such as it is.

You'll be hearing from my lawyer and the BC College of Physicians.

While my mom received a good treatment from her doctor, we were treated horribly by the receptionists. They could not display any skills in customer service and spoke rudely to us while not respecting our requests. It seemed they have issues they have to resolve and not bring them to the office.

Worst clinic you can go to …
They don’t care even a bit about their patients and when you’re in need they ask you to go to emergency room …

Attended a couple of virtual appointments here and now they refuse to send my medical records to my family doctor, or assist getting my benefit claim sorted out. I'm actually about to lose my benefits because of this. Avoid this place at all costs.

Horrible patient service. I called in once to check if I should come see my family doctor, or go to the ER based on some symptoms I had been having. Clerk put my on hold to check with her manager, AND THEY JUST HUNG UP ON ME. No call back, nothing - that’s how much they care about patients. I ended up just going to the ER.

They have also in the past just straight up ignored my email inquiries. The lack of professionalism and common curtesy by the office administrators at this office is depressing.

I do not recommend this office, but they don’t care - we have too few doctors in Canada for them to actually want to improve their services.

These days, over last 1 yr I have never been able to get thru their long winded answering system. I stayed on hold for than 45 mins before I gave up and this is not once.
What’s interesting is, when you walk in, no one seems that busy at all!

Dr. Heer is a great family doctor I’m very grateful to have gotten in as his patient and the staff is quite friendly. I had to take one star off because the wait times when calling in are crazy, usually you are on hold for about 30-45min minimum and getting an actual apt especially with Dr. Heer sometimes takes a while which can be frustrating when you are trying to deal with health issues right away but it is understandable as they are clearly a very busy clinic. The upside is you are now able to book online which makes life a lot easier and less waiting on hold but you may not be getting a slot for a few weeks, Dr. Heer is definitely worth the wait though if you are wanting quality care!

“Doctor” Waleed Khadher was absolutely useless. I booked a video appointment but he refused and just called me instead. He barely took the time to listen and send me a requisition for xRays. Then, my Physio, after assessing me, sent a letter to dr Khadher to suggest a different type of X-ray, and he simply replied NO. He clearly doesn’t care! And just want to do as many online appts as possible to get money.

Like most reviews state, Dr Ableman is an awful doctor. Impatient, dismissive, didn't seem to care about my concerns as a patient.

Not coming back, not recommending this clinic to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

Waited over 2 hours on a screen for a scheduled video appointment. Doctor ended up calling on the phone after I waited in front of a screen. Called office staff 1 hour and 30 minutes while waiting and they could provide NO information as to when my call might be answered or where I was on the waiting list.

Worst clinic by far. I've had two different times where I needed to be seen by a doctor one was to check blood pressure as I had preclamsia and womens hospital asked me to go to the nearest clinic they turned me away second time was for a possible ear infection and they told me I needed to have a phone call appointment first to be assessed. Not sure what that will do when they need to see the lumps and issues I'm experiencing. Will never use this clinic again for any of my family. A walk in clinic is meant to help you when you walk in.

Dr. Heer is the most responsible doctor and he always gives us the best advice and fast referral.
