This was our first time camping at Fort Langley. We just purchased our class c rv and Our 28 year old wanted to have a campfire and marshmallows for her birthday. Fort Langley is not far from were we live and we love the area. Personnel were friendly and helpful. Grounds were clean as were the bathrooms. Beautiful walk paths. Beach is right there, took us 2 minutes from where our campsite was. A hop skip and a jump to downtown Fort Langley. Lots of shopping and great food close by. Will be returning for sure. Loved our stay
Nice place as it close to the fort Langley and has clean showers. It is extremely loud in the night because of trane traffic as well as car and bike traffic
Fort camping is always a good time! The staff are amazing and with the quaint town of fort langley right within walking distance there is never a dull moment.
This was our first time staying at Fort Camping. What a great experience. Staff were wonderful! The setting was amazing. We attended the cranberry festival as well as the wonderful Thanksgiving dinner that was put on by the staff. We loved that touch. We have already booked for next year!
Our 1st time at Fort Camping was so enjoyable! Quiet and safe. Everywhere was very clean, the planned activities were fun, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our site was large with adequate sun and shady spots. We will be booking again!
Enjoyed our first time camping as a family at Fort Camping! Great location and great activities (free sports equipment to borrow, fun “buggy bikes” to rent, very close to beach), and affordable store prices.
Would have enjoyed considerably more if the bathrooms were cleaned more frequently and pets were explicitly not allowed in the bathrooms (an owner brought her dog into the bathroom for a prolonged period of time). Be aware that there is very close train noise that is very loud and doesn’t stop until ~10/11pm and restarts ~6/7am.
In my travels across BC I am happy to have landed here, the staff and management team were welcoming and always ready to help, they know the area and places to visit. Its about a 10 minute walk to the fort and town. It is also close to many trails, the campground offers showers and laundry amongst their amenities, also running water and electricity to plug in if you are in a RV or in a Van. It's not an expensive place considering everything that is offered. I will certainly return soon
We had a weekend staycation of sorts at the Fort Campground this past few days. The campground was nicely setup with clean bathrooms and well kept campsites. A nice location near the center of Fort Langley for a get away for this lower mainland local.
For a ladies Glamping weekend this place is superb! Everyone was friendly and helpful at the campsite, the location can’t be beat for staying out of your car, walking, shopping and great food! Highly recommend!
Close to Fort Langley where you can shop some neat little boutiques. A hidden gem close to the city.
Change in my rating. Would like to camp more in the winter but their new check in times are from 1-5pm which doesn't work when your work day ends at 5pm. Not everyone is retired.
Your version of camping isn't always someone else's, so to say I can stay in my truck isn't just disappointing but I guess you can control only those who's circumstances are perfectly suited to ideal camping with big fancy rvs. Sorry but not everyone's idea of a great camping trip is with an rv. It's fine I'd rather not be in a place that discriminates anyways.
Had a great few nights here and the site is lovely and we'll spaced out. The staff are wonderful and Mary-ann was a great host. Loved the on site store, meant I did not leave for 3 days. BTW check out the lounge it's a nice little retreat if you need to find the golf channel or such for a couple of hours
A beautiful place to camp. Very quiet minus the trains that go by every so often. Has a very small store and a small laundromat on site. Great place to just sit back and relax and enjoy sitting outside in the sun.
Large campsite, although they are not very private. Washrooms are clean and well maintained. Laundry room is well equipped and cost $2.50 per load. Showers are $2 for 10 minutes but often have time left on them.
We always have a great time especially when you are able to keep our group close together like you did this years and in the past. It's always nice to see the grounds kept so well and washrooms impeccable. Seeing your maintenance staff make regulate rounds checking that all is well is also a plus.
Staff are great! Facilities (Showers, washrooms, store) are all very good. Great hook-ups for RVs. Trails around the island surround the RV park. Close access to Fort Langley makes this an amazing spot.
Sadly, no more pool. Train noise is intense, but we became accustomed to it by the third night.
BIG WARNING: If they say mosquitos are bad, they are not kidding. It was unbearable and we had to leave early. I really like this site, but we couldn't walk let alone sit outside even for two minutes. They fully reimbursed us for our unused camping fees. Very reasonable people-not their fault in any way, but check the mosquito index before booking. I'd give this place 5 stars otherwise.
We spent a weekend in the tent cabins at Fort Camping. The campground is nestled in a spectacular nature setting on Brae Island. There is endless walking/biking trails right from the camp site as well as a beautiful beach and River frontage for kayaking or just relaxing. The small heritage village of Fort Langley is also just a minutes walk from the camp ground. We felt like we were tucked far away into the wilderness and yet we were just moments from activities, great dining and specialty shops. It's my favourite place to go. I wish the cabins were winterized and available for the off season. I also wish the cabins had a microwave. Our small heater kept us warm in the September evenings since the cabins are not heated.
Very clean quiet campground priced right staff seemed to be strict but very respectful as well. Too many elder residents in campsite seems like a retirement rv lot. Quiet at 8pm everyone tip toeing around doesn't make it a fun/relaxing environment because people are always worried or on edge after 8pm. Pricing is good on sites but it's like a checker board everyone is squished together and no privacy from one another and very little trees in camping site. It's for the nearly dead and not for the newlyweds lol just saying.but thank you for your stay but don't think I will return unless I might try tent cabins for a weekend hopefully some retiress move on in one way or another.
I give it 5+ STARS for the wonderful staff, the cleanliness, the great facilities, having many well laid out sites, the ability to call for help or concerns 24 hours a day, the nearness to the wonderful shops and attractions at the town of Fort Langley. However my issue was one they can do nothing about: the TRAIN NOISE. I was in a Tent so every night there were many trains from tracks on both sides of the Fraser River waking me up. I am a light sleeper so even with wax earplugs it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. I will try the other Pathfinder Campgrounds in the Fraser Valley and recommend Fort Camping to people in more soundproofed RV's who can sleep through loud train noise. If I get a big RV I would love to come back.
We had the group site for the weekend and it was an amazing space! Lots of room for tents on the grass and a large cookshack with running water and lights.
Had a great stay here with friends this past week! Beautiful camping resort with amazing setting. Exceptionally clean and well managed. Staff is all very friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Nice campground. Close to Ft. Langley village. The weather turned out to be decent during the days we were there! Site are very clean and well maintained, very spacious spots for RV
Great campsite close to home. Clean and well kept and quiet. Kids love the playground and a nice walk into Fort Langley to shop and enjoy great bakeries and restaurants.
This Fort Camping place was a lovely location 50 min from Vancouver Airport. Nice grassy, clean and shady sites. Our tenting spot with electricity and water was quiet midweek. The place was a bit overpriced at $51.and I would have liked a coffee from the store in the morning but it was closed. We enjoyed the walking paths, the baby bunnies and the friendly people.
Very clean, large and well maintained sites. Great location and an easy walk to the charming Fort Langley. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. They were spraying this year for mosquitoes so that should help that issue. Would definitely come again
First time at Fort campground, and the last. Its not a campsite persay, its like a trailer park. I was astounded because of how painfully close the campsites were. Absolutely no privacy. Where are the trees? Then, on Friday evening every 15 to 20 minutes two staff drove by on their lod ATV. Very irritating. It felt like we were being scrutinized. Again, no privacy. Then to top it off, we paid $20 per night for an extra person and extra vehicle. But this vehicle could not be parked at campsite. No, it had to be parked in "visitors" area! And he had to walk back and forth with a bad back. Unacceptable. And whats up with the campfire having to be dowsed at 11pm? Are we children that have to be hemmed in? Im very dissapointed to say the least. We will never go back, and we will tell everyone we know as well. Rules are highly necessary but this was ridiculous.
I am one of the MANY stranded motorists from out of province. I had asked Fort Camping to allow me to park my SUV in a spot (paid for of course) to enable me to sleep in a safe place at night until such time as I could get home to my family. They declined my request based on the fact that their washrooms and showers were not functional and that they allowed 'self contained' RV's only. After explaining again that essentially I AM self contained and that I simply needed a place to sleep safely, and off the street that I would appreciate them reconsidering. They again, came back with they only allowed 'self contained RV's' to stay. Hotels prices are not within my budget at this point, and with these very difficult times, it troubles me to think that these folks are clearly dead behind the eyes when it comes to doing the right thing and helping a fellow human being in good faith.
Made a reservation but had to cancel - they refuse to check anyone in after 5pm in the winter due to "liability" in the dark. It doesn't say this anywhere on the website, only after you have paid and completed the online check-in process. I have never seen this rule at any other campground, so bizarre.
The park was easy to find. It is located at the end of Glover Road. (main street Fort Langley). There is pavement all the way until you arrive at the park. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. Our site, D2, was a back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water and sewer) were to the left side. Distancing is very reasonable for an urban park. Most sites had a vegetation barrier Each site has a table and most have a fire pit. Our site was flat but sloped to the right. Overall the park was pretty and well manicured. The included “Tengo” wifi internet worked very well with a log in password. We did find a few OTA TV. Satellite might be difficult because of the trees if you don’t have a portable dish. We did not use the washrooms or pay showers but we checked and found them clean. There is a pathway that runs along the property and is popular with locals walking their dogs. There is a much longer trail (Fort to Fort) that begins across the bridge. It is a popular bicycle and walking trail. During the peak season, the campground rents out “peddle cars” large for adults and small for children. There is a very small store on site as well as propane sales. Within easy walking distance is the village of Fort Langley where you can find good food and convenience stores. We found this park to be a well run urban RV park. We paid $47.00 less10% for booking on line per night and we feel we received good very good value. We will be back if in the area again. Be advised, this is a very popular park and booking is allowed 365 days out.
Be very careful when booking here. My father booked a site to stay with our family here and was denied entry because he was a “pop up travel trailer” and was book in as a “travel trailer “
Manager said there’s no exceptions to the rules yet there was a pop up travel trailer only a couple sites away while we stayed there (I’ve got pictures) and an identical trailer to my fathers in a full hook up site 3 weeks earlier (pictures of that to) maybe those were friends of the manager? We will never know, and will look else where to book our family camping trips, no worth dealing with the whims of this manager
As stated they allowed an identical trailer to my fathers In to a full hook up site 3 weeks before this, there rules are not applied consistently.
Had a great time and enjoyed celebrating the Christmas theme weekend. Have already booked for next year for Christmas in August. Mosquitoes weren't too bad.better than expected. Enjoyed the easy walk into town and husband was easily able to commute to and from work in Burnaby. They are very sticky about parking, two cars in a spot, etc. Employees did a great job working on the grounds and keeping things well maintained. Nice large site and easy accessibility for large rigs.
Great family place. Clean, friendly staff; activities and games. Perfect to stay in by the river or to go out across the bridge into town. This was our 12th year staying there. Miss the pool they used to have.
Wonderful camp site with excellent staff! Fun activities for kids and nice clean bathrooms/shower facilities. Make sure to bring eat plugs to block out the night trains and you'll have an awesome stay! ️
This private campground is a great local hideaway! It's nestled right in Fort Langley and is a 5min walk to the township and so close to the trail that takes you to a nice quiet beach on Brae Island. Book campsites early for sure to get the spot you want. This area is very friendly for families and dogs alike! Everyone is really friendly too who comes here and it has a playground and mini theatre. A great experience all around!
It's fine. Corporate operation so many rules and Covid requirements that seem a little intimidating at first, but is just to limit liability exposure. Power and water are good Campground is well laid out, clean, well managed. We just needed to overnight, but they have a 2 night minimum so it turns into over $100. It is what it is.
One of those places where the trees were cleared and you are left with an ugly space. Lovely walks right at the site and easy to get to Fort Langley on foot. The staff are kind.
We camp here often- lately because of Covid travel restrictions but mostly because it is clean and offers lots for everyone. The village of Fort Langley is just a short walk across the bridge and there are miles of trails close by for cyclists runners and walkers.the park itself has lots of things for kids to do. And if you just want to chill you can do that too. Its so close to the big city but when you are there its like you are worlds away. Down side is that is close to a very busy double train track.but after the first hour of so you don't even notice it. Another downside is that its proximity to the river means that mosquito season can be really bad- enough to ruin your stay.
Spent many weeks here while waiting for occupancy of our new home, after selling the prior home. Staff are friendly and accommodating, quiet environment, kids are busy at the beach and playground, and many trails to ride their bikes. Fort Langley town is walking distance. Enough trees, and privacy between sites, not as big as a provincial park, but close. Sites are not as tight together as many private RV sites. I highly recommend it. Book in advance as they are constantly full and taking reservations now for next year.
This is such a great place to camp. It is very well maintained and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is ideal, close to the town, the river and for us home. The planned activities for the kids are awesome. We will be back.
Most sites are spacious and easy to back into if you're pulling trailer! The campsite is surrounded by a walking trailer that can even be used if wheelchair bound, it's a 5km round trip!
The facility is very well laid out, the camping spaces are big and give a lot of privacy. The washrooms are clean. I really like the proximity to Fort Langley. It is just a very short walk to shopping and great coffee spots. The paths along either side of the Fraser are groomed and the views are outstanding.
Nice spot, good rates. Very clean and well kept. Our only complaint which the camp can't do anything about is the hourly trains. Large trains blasting their horns 400m from the campsite all through the night. If you like trains though then it's pretty awesome.
Cant get sat TV because of the trees but yet the trees are what makes it so nice. Also they closed there pool so there's no pool anymore and when we did our booking they had a pool so feel like we paid more than we should have.
Better than most of the private campgrounds. Negatives: "NO MORE POOL as of summer 2019" Metro Vancouver removed the pool and have no plans to replace the existing one. Nice spot but be prepared for the train to wake you up every hour. Showers are pay per minute, laundry is costly better to find one elsewhere. Campground is devoid of trees and privacy is rare. Some spots are better than others. Reserve system is poor as you cannot reserve a single stall but let known where you will be when you get there. Most staff are friendly but some are rude as in the check in lady was really demeaning last time we where there. Positives: River close by, lots of activities each day for children. Play park for small children is decent. General store is on grounds but some of the prices are too high for market. Travel 5.8 kms to the Save on foods for ICE or essentials. Conclusion: Great for a weekend getaway, hard to stay long periods.
We always loved it here. I think it is our ninth year at this campground. So much for the gtandchildren to do, nice little playground, clean bathroom with showers, nice employees, wonderful walk into town, lots of fun shops and a wonderful gelato shop with home made gelatos and more, close to the fort, easy drive into Langley, Vacouver and other places around the lower mainland. Easy access to the freeway. The campground is easy to maneuver in with larger rigs. Sites are nice and some are very well treed. One downfall are the mosquitoes (this year they were not bad at all) we got to watch the bats flying I am sure feasting on the night insects. I highly recommend this campground.
