The a la carte food was quite pleasant, and the server was very helpful in suggesting a couple of alternatives.

So last night we decided to give Fortune Palace another chance considering it was on our route through town. The vegetables have always been questionable. Again, last night was no different. The chow mein tasted old and the carrots were not fresh. None of us ate the carrots because on the outside they had a black, dark colour which tells me that they are not fresh. This isn’t the first review I have left, so in order to place this review, I had to delete the last one. I also didn’t bother calling because we found the owner was not the most friendly customer service savvy person in the past. The restaurant “Good Chef” is in our area and we have found their food a lot better and fresher. Safe to say we won’t be back to Fortune Palace unless new owners arrive, not even for convenience sake.

SS tasted like bbq pork not SS PORK. Noodles were mushy and tasteless and chicken was over cooked and a little crunchy.

There food nasty saw them put in garbage cans to defrost there food and the delivery driver makes the wonton soup with a microwave and hot broth wontons are pickled and tossed in microwave the meats left to sit beside garbage cans so go ahead eat there horrible food

Had my wedding reception here on September 17th the staff were very accommodating the food was delicious and after the event was even given a present from the staff can't thank them enough for the wonderful experience the manager Leah was a joy to work with throughout the entire experience.

I cannot believe what we received this evening. The WT soup has an after taste and was luke warm. If I wanted BBQ pork and vegetables in my soup I would have asked for it. The HG Pk was over cooked, sauce had separated. BfCM tasteless, noodles were slimy, and the Lg Ch FR, the rice was dried out and flavorless. Certainly was a waste of $65.00.

Great place for a good classic fresh well-prepared Chinese food. We were staying in a hotel in Prince George for a month and we got takeout from Fortune Palace twice and had a great experience so just cited to drop by there to eat in the dining room for a change.

We came in almost 9 PM (They’re open till 10 PM) So we were the only ones there and they took our order and came out of the kitchen for us very quickly. All the vegetables were nice and fresh properly cooked but still had a nice crunch & texture. The meat in the dishes were nicely marinated and tender with good flavor. We got the beef and Bok choy, Almond Guy Ding, And their barbeque pork. I asked if they made it in house and they said they did. I asked when they were last made and they said yesterday so I ordered a plate so we could take it back to hotel for snacking. It was also fresh with good flavor.

It was great to see they actually had individual glass containers of soy sauce for the table! I hate those little packets. They almost always squirt on me or get on the table. It was the first Asian restaurant we’ve been to In Prince George that didn’t give us those darn little packets of soy sauce!

It’s a really good classic Chinese restaurant that has a big round family style tables with the Lazy Susan in the centre. Hector and I both enjoyed our meal and we had enough leftovers for another 2 meals.

Nice extensive menu, quite big restaurant with lots of parking. Very clean and well organized.

This place has been around for years and always provided good food, large portions and great customer service. Thank you Fortune Palace

My favourite Chinese in town, food quality is pretty consistent. Staff is friendly, quick service. Had one bad dine in experience, considering I’ve been eating at this establishment since 1999-2000 not a bad track record.

Fortune Palace always has excellent tasting Chinese food, and the atmosphere in December is nice as they have a Christmas tree up, in addition to their usual Chinese decorations. The service was also good. However, we were overcharged for some of our meals, as every plate was charged at $18.95 when some of the combo dishes we ordered were less than that on the menu. We said something to the server, but our complaint went unacknowledged. Other than that, everything was good

Thank god for this place, one of my favorite things to have when I come back for the Holidays was China Sail, happy this place is the same food ️

I came as a friend's +1 to a work gathering at Fortune Palace. We tried several dishes, all of which were delicious. The service was great, and everyone was very polite.

The sweet and sour pork tasted like road kill. Texture was more like hoof and bone. Complained about it and was offered a replacement. Ha! Ha! Ha! Are you serious? Rest was below par. If you want GOOD Chinese food you should taste mine!

Great Chinese food, we found our new Chinese restaurant to go to because Mackenzie bc doesn't have one.

Did not disappoint. Huge portions. Neither of us could finish our meals! My partner wanted Chinese since we're never in the city. I have a lot of food allergies so I never like going for Chinese but I was pretty stoked to see online that this place had a gluten free menu! Right on guys. Definitely raising the bar. Thanks for the good food and good service. We'll be back next time we're in Prince George.

Food was terrible. Prawns tasted off SOUR. Noodles were dry and bland. Salt was empty and asked for more but didn't receive. Another customer arrived after us and received his order before us coffee was burnt. Jas the waitress was amazing. Company I work for orders takeout from fortune palace at least twice a month for 25 to 30 people and the food is great. I highly recommend not to dine in

Used to be really good. But food quality has gone downhill the last couple of times. Average at best…
Rather bland chow mein, seemed like frozen veggies for chop suey? The seeet and sour pork was just ok and the prawn batter was just not good. Service is always friendly and efficient. Prices have gone up like everywhere else these days, but it would be nice if the food quality was the same as it was in the past.

Honestly one of the better Chinese restaurants in town. Good and friendly service! Food is tasty and I have yet to have a bad experience in my orders for the last few years!

So we have been ordering from Fortune Palace for over 15 years, my family and my in laws combined, and overall their food has been decent. Sometimes we would get our order with moldy vegetables in it, but we would bring this to their attention and they would comp us a meal. Tonight however, parts of each of our meals (5 in total) were not edible. My honey garlic pork was so dry, it was almost like it was leftover from the day before. Same with the almond chicken. It was so dry, I spit it out the moment it hit my tongue. Sweet and sour pork and the noodles were also not up to par. We called to bring this to the manager/owners attention (Jean) but it was almost pointless. I told her that every meal, parts of it were not edible, so the best she said she could do was $30 off of our order. Our order was over $100. The owner argued with me, saying that I was the only one who has complained tonight and sometimes certain customers like the food a little crispy, even after I kept telling her it was NOT EDIBLE! Not too crispy! They were unwilling to send driver to our house to bring us a new order because we picked up the order, so she said she could redo the entire order for us, but I would have to bring in the bad order. Why do I have to bring in the order? As an owner, she should have made every attempt to please the customer, not tell me that I was the only one who has complained that night. What kind of customer service is this? We are extremely dissapointed with this new management and they have lost our business after 15 plus years of loyalty.

Much like any Chinese restaurant in Prince George you're not going to get much authentic cuisine but rather the North American, whitewashed style. It's good for that style, just not my tastes. Tried the dim sum. Standard for not made in kitchen but ordered in bulk. It's the only dim sum available in Prince George that I've found.

I just picked up my family order and got quite the shock as it was way more than I expected. I was told that they don't go by this website. I said then why do you have it up when your prices are considerably higher or at least update it. They did not know. Now i love their food and service but this is false advertising and this website should be taken down.

Very good dimsum lunch. We had the dimsum lunch for 3 and we had the beef ginger chowmein, fish cod with steamed rice (good portion). We took home the leftover and good for dinner as well.:)

We were the only dine- in patrons.service was a bit slower than expected, but friendly. Food was hot, delicious and generous porions.

Ordered delivery, 2 dinners for one with deep fried prawns, it was decent the only thing I didn't like was the prawns being delivered with the whole meal made them on the soft/soggy side.

Fresh food even near the end of their working day. Delicious crisp veggies, great chow mein, somehow their lemon chicken always stays crunchy despite being doused in that amazing sauce. Spicy prawns are fantastic as well, the batter is light and the peppers and spices are flavourful.

They never forget to thank you for coming in either. I'm fine with "have a good one" but the staff really goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome here.

Don't pay attention to any of the poor reviews on here, this place has excellent food and we will definitely be back for more. Veggies fresh and crispy, seafood was cooked to perfection and the noodles were perfect. Take out was perfect thanks.

I ordered a no 14 the prawns were doey chow main was mushy chop suey was raw and no sauce. The other order did not contain the sweet and sour pork i ordered it did have the rice and chowmein and vegtables i didnt want. Very dissappointing.

Went here on August 28th. Ordered a small wonton and their #8 meal which included chicken chow mein, sweet & sour pork, vegetable chop suey and deep fried prawns. The soup was hot and very good and the meal was served shortly after. Loved that the vegetables were crisp but the prawns had more breading then I like but were delicious.

I havent eaten here but seeing the kind and thoughtful responses to even the most outrageous negative reviews I believe you deserve five stars. I will leave another review with my partner when we eat here. I look forward to trying your vegetarian options and your prices look very affordable!

Edit: I can provide feedback for my experience and food. I've updated my rating from a 2 to 3 for your commitment to improve. I only ordered the chicken chow mein for dine in but the chicken was cold, plain, and salty (for my tastes). There were extremely little vegetables in the chow mein and would have liked some sauce on the chicken and some small amount of mixed veggies in the chow mein. The chow mein itself was good. The entire dish, including the noodles, was less than warm.

Will never order from this place, I'v ordered from them in the past and was very disappointed then and for some strange reason we ordered and they gave us the wrong order so had to drive across town to return it and told them we don't want our order anymore just refund our cash, when I arrived they tried to blame me for ruining the food, I said excuse me you gave me the wrong order. One thing I find about Fortune Palace is they're getting very good at apoligizing, how about making better food and not making mistakes, there are no excuses in the restaurant busines.unfortunately Palace I can't post NO STARS so no business from me.

We order from here often.we live beyond the delivery border so we order ahead for a specific time and everytime our food is hot and ready when we get there. The food is pretty great!

Some of the order was good but the garlic pork was mostly ketchup and sweet and sour sauce yet no garlic.when I asked the waitress about the garlic, she offered to add onion. A new dish would have been nice.

Most definitely 5/5. The cute server said I was funny and made her day. Will go again and try get her number. But in all seriousness, the food was good, they offer dim sum and it was actually good.

This place is awsome, we were looking for Chinese food and dine in service and we thought about this place last for some reason. Service was excellent and the food was worth the wait because the vegetables were so fresh in the chop suey and the chicken balls were freshly made with BIG chunks of chicken breast and light batter and the chow mein and rice were spot on. Good service good food and an oasis on a hot day with the air conditioning I look forward to my next visit here

The garlic ribs were okay, but too salty. The spring rolls were vegan, slimy and undercooked, the chow mein was all cut down to 1" lengths, tasted like dollar-store chicken boulion and was topped with sliced lunch meat, and the ginger beef wasn't ginger beef. It was stringy slices of lean beef overcooked, and doused with ginger powder. Nasty all around.guess all the good reviews were historical. This wasn't cheap.

1st time there. Ordered the crispy chow mein. Was really good. Seasoned well with a good amount of chicken and fresh veggies. Friendly staff. Not sure what the rest of the food is like but this dish was nice

Excellent food every time! Hot tip: if you do a phone order and they say 20-30 minutes; it’s usually ready and hot a bit earlier!

Take out wasn't what it used to be I had chopsuey and fried rice the blend of vegetables was completely a hash Hamble if vegetables could be at war this is what it would taste like you need the old cheif back NOW!

I ordered veggie chow mein. I got what looked like veggie chop suet. The veggies were raw. When I took them off the chow mein the chow mein was floating, literally, in oil. I called the waitress over to send it back and she actually gave me attitude. She didn’t apologize or offer to make it right.
Will never eat there again!

Haven’t been in restaurant, so this is just for the food. Coming from Vancouver, we’re spoiled with fantastic options for Chinese food. I was ready to look down on the food here but was pleasantly surprised instead. Best Chinese food in Prince George.

Delicious and authentic Cantonese cuisine, served by professional and friendly service staff. Ample parking, really clean bathrooms, and a warm and welcoming dining experience! Can’t wait to be back again for our next event or family dining get together.

The food is delicious and I love noodles! There’s also lots of options and yummy foods for kids.

I've ordered from them for years! The one time I have a complaint they got so nasty with me on the phone telling me I should order from somewhere else next time. Lost my loyalty. The noodles had black stuff on it and the shrimp was so over cooked and rubbery.: (Good thing there is a better place to order from. Boo at your customer service.

Just finished eating at Fortune Palace. Worst customer service I have ever experienced, and everything tastes like salt. SALTIEST FOOD in town. I asked if I could substitute Almond Chicken for Egg foo Young and was told "NO. " I then asked why? The waitress responded because it is a BIG TICKET ITEM. When I asked what the egg foo young dish came with the waitress looked at me, rolled her eyes and said "gravy. " No refills on our drinks, never asked if we wanted anything else. Won't be going back.

We ordered two of the hot pots for dinner, it was sooooo much food. We had two meals to reheat at home. The black bean and beef is so good my mouth is watering just thinking about it. My hubby had a jumbo shrimp hot pot and those are some nice big ol shrimp just donr really well, the staff is always friendly these no added msg and many menu options. Fortune Palace is the best place for Chinese anywhere in PG. The staff are always awesome as are the owners. I have a hard time believing some of the reviews on here because my experience has always been nothing but excellent!

The food was served cold. When I said that the food was served cold, the staff was extremely rude and said that this is how it is supposed to be served COLD. They were like there's nothing we can do! Absolutely rude and unprofessional staff. Unpleasant experience.

Steady good food quality. Fast and friendly service even if the restaurant is packed. We are coming back now for several years. Nice place to eat after shopping at Costco or JYSK. We are always ordering something different. Menu gives you many options.

I ordered beansprout chowmein and two springrolls from fortune palace. The springrolls were tasty and i enjoyed them but i found the chowmein to be lacking a little on the flavor.

Service was very friendly and i was immediately greeted upon walking into the restaurant to pick up my order. The price was reasonable and portion size was on par with other Chinese restaurants in Prince George.

Overall a good experience and meal but i just wished the chowmein was a little more flavorful is all.

The ribs are questionable, best chicken balls I've ever eaten, a bit expensive but I'd for sure go back, skip the ribs tho

Kinda disappointed I never complain but I just spent 150.00 and got extremely small dishes. The ginger beef was 18.00 and was probably a 8 dollar dish. My family is still hungry: (

They should be embarrassed with what they're serving. Food should be made with love. Always. There is zero love here. Everything was bland, had little to no taste and honestly I thought their sauce could have easily been from a can. I just moved to PG from the Lower Mainland. I get that choice is limited but shouldn't that make it so restaurants really have to try for your business and hard earned money? I won't be back. Seriously, the owners and chefs should go elsewhere and try Chinese food. See how it's made. TASTE the variety of flavours and dishes, yours do not hold up. The chow mein was noodles and chicken for God's sake. I could have made this at home. And way better than that dismal food you served us, paying clients. I won't ever eat here again and judging by the comments on the other Chinese restaurants in town, I won't be going to any of those either. It's disgusting that you were voted the best. Best of the worst for sure. PS - your service was the only reason I even tipped. She did a great job.
