Fountain Tire

Sent car in for alignment knowing that it had fresh lower control arms and consequently ball joints in the front, only for them to try and sell me new arms claiming that there was play. Have since inspected the car and found there to be no issue. They also claimed a bolt for toe adjustment in the rear was stripped. Rather than offering to replace it while they had access they left it. Having inspected it, the thread was fine and it just needed the proper nut and spacers. All in all, I'm left disappointed at my first experience with a garage upon moving into town.

I needed a new alternator and battery after being stranded for a day over Thanksgiving.fountain tire helped me out without an appointment, and still running g fj e.

Had a roadside emergency. Was able to make our way in from Rogers Pass. They were able to take us in immediately and repair our boat trailer even though it was outside their usual scope of work. Courteous, efficient, fantastic workmanship, and customer service. Highly recommend fountain, tire and their team.

I broke down in Golden on the weekend and despite the fact that they were extremely busy they fit me in. They found a solution to my problem and the diagnostic charge was very small. Very ethical and great service. I highly recommend them.

I was driving through on my way home to Revy and had a problem opening my gas compartment and needed to be able to gas up in order to get home. I called, and the team made an effort to stay a bit longer past their working hours to help me sort it out. I am SO grateful for their help and friendly service!

We were travelling over Christmas from Alberta and found while we were filling up that we had a flat. The guys here got us in right away, fixed us up quickly and were phenomenal to work with. THANK YOU. We were telling our family about the experience when we arrived and are still so impressed by the team at this location.

Edit: just took my car into a mechanic at the Nissan dealership across the border in the States, and tried to tell them what Aaron from Fountain Tires told me was the problem. They didn't believe me, ran some tests, set me back $160, just to tell me what Aaron told me. I go to the autoparts store to get the parts myself, and get bombarded by every Dad in the parking lot trying to diagnose the problem themselves. Can't be the fuel injectors, those mechanics are lying to you, they all quipped. I decided to tackle the issue myself with a LOT of help from a savvy friend- and we pull out the suspect fuel injector.

Turns out Aaron was dead on.

Very disappointed with a last visit to Golden, BC Fountain Tire! With actual service/repairs done and new front desk person treating customers as clueless idiots, sorry but can't express my experience more precise. Absolutely disgusting attitude and disgusting experience!
I'm coming-back customer for may years and always have been satisfied with this location and especially customer service!
(It's been only place in town, ONLY, who could properly install a tire on a wheel from the first time and because of that, balance it without ridiculous amount of weights, well by Canadian standards at least. Other places in town you gonna leave with egg-shape wheels and shaking car almost guaranteed and will listen absolutely ridiculous nonsense for several times before they agreed to disagree and actually fix their complete failure!)

-I came with seasonal tire changeover,
Wheels are round but balancing is poor, lot of weight, Weights are falling off and hanging! Rims was not cleaned from dirt.
-I came with a front sway bar problem!
Pointed the problem! Agreed and insist of both robber bushings and both control links being replaced! Confirm the parts availability and scope of the work! So it's done and forgotten!
(I replaced both control links last year at Golden, BC Ford Service - Parts and labor-$200 and they need to cut out original ones because of rust spending extra time no charge)
Fountain Tire replaced one side control link charging $100.46 for the $75 dollar (including tax) part and charging GST and PST on that part again! Plus $95 Labor!
Nothing else has been done!
The problem is not fixed and stayed the same! No one bothered to check after if it's fixed or not!
As private business owner I lost a day with out the car!
The worst part that it took me to drive two meters on their parking lot to hear that the problem is there still and the same!
On what, the front desk person replied- It must be your front brakes then!
Hopefully tomorrow when I need to come back, and looks like, waste an other day, I will not see that person and the problem will be fixed properly and all the mentioned parts will be replaced so I don't need to pay 4 times by $100 and loosing 4 days by $1000 and of course don't need to be treated as an idiot 4 more times by the same person explaining that it's my brakes "clicking" on bumps!

We had to be towed to Golden due to a flat tire. My BMW needed a performance tire that was difficult to source. The staff at the Golden Fountain Tire went above and beyond to get us back on the road. Not only did Dylan source the tire at a Fountain Tire in Vernon, Andrew came back to the shop after hours to mount the tire when it arrived. Thanks to Dylan, Andrew and Aaron who were professional and courteous throughout our ordeal.

Hands down the best tire shop in golden. Always professional and curious. Great customer service. Infinitely better than the local competition.
