Foxy Box Laser & Wax Bar - Mt. Pleasant

I saw celine for my first visit to foxy box.her knowledge, attention to detail and consideration made the experience very relaxing and comfortable.the treatment exceeded my expectations and i left the appointment feeling so great/taken care of.can’t recommend celine or this location enough!

I had the IPL photofacial and I could not recommend this treatment enough! The technician explained how exactly the process worked and was super kind and informative. It’s only been a few hours and I can already see significant and noticeable improvements in my skin texture, and already can’t even see some of the fine lines, large pores, and discolouration I had before! Foxy Box is the best!

Foxybox is great - super clean, and cute decor. Caitlin is the perfect combination of professional mixed with friendly and casual that you look for when you’re removing your pants at a place of business.
Edited to add: I’ve been seeing Beth because she has weekend availability, and she’s delightful. Super sweet and lovely, definitely makes having your hair ripped out a little more tolerable.

A bit too much - expensive and you have to complete a lengthy waiver just to get your brows done. Not somewhere you can quickly pop in.

I'm a plus-size nonbinary autistic person and this was my first time getting waxed ever in my life. As one could imagine, I came in pretty intimidated - I often don't feel welcome in places that are generally geared as 'for women', and I think I mentioned to the team in my online intake that I was concerned about having dysphoria or sensory issues during my appointment.

I got an early appointment so I was the only non-staff member in the building - I saw Beth, and I can honestly say that I felt totally safe and comfortable. Sometimes when I disclose my disability I feel like people go over the top in a weird patronizing way when they're trying to make a point of being accommodating, but I never felt that once in this space because it really felt like consent and non-judgement are already at the centre of how they normally do things.

Beth was incredibly gentle, efficient, and skilled - she consistently gave me notice if she was about to do an area that was particularly sensitive, she listened right away when I asked for adjustment with the wax temperature, she was willing to take breaks when I asked and I overall felt like she really prioritizes the client's comfort and satisfaction in such a potentially awkward/vulnerable service. Obviously the process involves some degree of pain, but I think Beth took every step possible to make it quick and minimize anything harsh.

I also really appreciate that Foxy Box makes a point of using non-gendered language, and that they contribute services and funds to local organizations such as PACE Society. Much respect and appreciation for you all!

This place is great. The vibe is so cool, the staff are friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable, and they have sales on services.

I have been a long time client of the Foxy Box location in Port Coquitlam and I love it there. I now work downtown and the Mount Pleasant location is easier to get to. My first wax here was with Beth and she did an amazing job, was very quick and made me feel comfortable. So far, I can say that the service from one location to the next is consistently 5 star The Mt Pleasant outpost is very chic and modern and they have a comfy couch in the waiting area for you to chill before your appointment. They offer some great products in their retail area and the staff at reception was very friendly and welcoming. What's most important is that they are an inclusive and safe space for all which is the number one reason I return and continue to recommend to friends and family. No matter who you are, I am confident you will feel comfortable receiving a service at a Foxy Box location.

Amazing service and professionalism. A very safe, and comfortable place to have your waxing done. I used to hate waxes because of the pain, but it is so simple and easy at foxybox that I don't mind it anymore!

This place is awesome! I got my underarms waxed for FREE because I am a new customer! Seen the ad on FB and thought I should try them and the results were fabulous! I definitely wish I could give them more than 5 stars and the lady that waxed me “Stephanie” was very professional and nice!

I love Foxy Box so much. As a neurodivergent person, things like this can be incredibly overwhelming and the friends at Foxy Box Mount Pleasant are so accommodating and kind. I feel wholly welcomed each and everytime I am in and it makes for a great experience to know that inclusivity is at the forefront of their brand. Foxy Box is for everyone and they mean it!

Not only are they kind, their skills are incredible. I have had many services, brazilian waxing, lash lifts, brow tinting and waxing, underarm waxing etc. Some with the an owner, a newer vagician and even trainees.
Their training is comprehensive and their trainee services offer a break in pricing, without sacrificing results. I love knowing I can confidently book in with anyone and get the results I'm after and save a bit too if I manage to snag a trainee spot.

Special shout out to Easton who has been taking care of me for the last couple of months. You are incredible and I appreciate you so much!

I love foxy box! I used to go in Victoria regularly. When I heard they have one in Vancouver I was excited. The person waxing me kept me distracted by keeping me chatting. I was in and out in 20 minutes for a Brazilian wax. I’ll definitely be using this service regularly again!

Had my first Brazilian here recently (tho not my fist wax) - I'll commend my technician for using gender neutral terms while speaking to me about my body. It's easy to say your business is gender inclusive (for gender identities outside the binary) but to experience it first hand was lovely!

With the quality of the wax, my technician had left pretty big patch of hair which I had to call them back in to fix. If I hadn't checked before I left, I would have been unsatisfied with my results. My technician was apologetic for missing the area and fixed it quickly. Other than that, it was a good experience.

I'm also unsure if this is the case in all the waxing suites, but it would have been nice for there to be a full length mirror to see the results immediately/see if there was anything missed without having to pretzel my body!

I’ve been to Foxy Box on Kingsway multiple times now for waxing.
Every single person greets me warmly, the temperature is comfortable, and I am acknowledged throughout the treatment, which was especially important the first time (as I had never done it before) and is still appreciated each and every time.
It’s a beautiful, clean, professional space with amazing staff.

Amazing experience! It was my first time ever waxing. I got my full leg and bikini done. Rose did such an amazing job, and despite it being my first time she made it as painless as possible. Really knowledgable about the products the shop uses too. The store is cute, inclusive and welcoming. They also have awesome info on their website for first timers.

Amazing experience! These girls are great from A-Z. I was looking for bar like this for a while. Kelsey is just wonderful in her job, the receptionist is lovely and helpful. I just visited Foxy Box for the first time - for my first Brazilian wax ever. Though I was pretty nervous to do it - Rose was caring and attentive, did an amazing job and helped me through the process. It was a comfortable and lovely experience! I recommend coming to foxy box!
