I shaved (what I could reach) full body for twenty years but no more. I found the courage and started with Foxy Box this spring, full body wax and have now been three times. Guys don’t hesitate. Great staff, great service and no more shaving two or three times a week.

My mom had an appointment booked for many services prior to going away on vacation. She was running a few minutes late to the appointment and I phoned to inform them she was on her way, to no answer so I left a message. They then phone her as she was on her way and informed her of a “5 minute policy” where if she was more than 5 minutes late they were unable to offer her any of her services booked. At this point it was exactly at the 5 minute point and this phone call was taking up more time than anything as she had to pull over to take the call, she was less than a minute away from the shop. She had two women on the phone repeat this “policy” to her, and she was just asking should I still come in for my appointment today, only to be met with well you’re late. They asked her to reschedule. My poor review reflects not an issue with their “policy” (while I do think this is silly most places give you at least 10 minutes) my issue was them so unwilling to work with her to make anything work today. In a small town like this it is surprising that a business would choose to so righteously stick to policies instead of fostering good customer service and working with long standing members of the community to offer their services no matter what. Very disappointed in how this was handled.

I've been going to Foxy Box for years, and have been to several different locations on the island. They are always friendly, body-positive and make you feel so welcome and safe if you're nervous. The staff are always quick, efficient, funny and knowledgeable. I just love this place and so glad to be using the Courtenay location now. I rave to all my friends about Foxy box and highly recommend them, especially if it's your first time because it can be nerve-wracking. They have always treated me, my family and friends amazingly! You rock it Foxy Box!

I've been going to Foxy Box for a few years and the ladies I went to see for waxing were amazing but have have moved away, I do find the last few times I have gone the girls don't seem to listen to the needs and seem to "rip" through very quickly. This has happened the last 3 times. I'll be moving onto another waxing place other than Foxy.

This was unequivocally the worst bikini wax I have ever received in my life. I’m not sure if the woman who waxed me had any experience but if she did it was not apparent. I could have shaved and had a better result. I have never waxed professionally but even I know it is essential to pull the skin tight when pulling the strip off. I have never left a review for any business in my life but I felt it was necessary to do so now so that others won’t waste money on the most painful and improperly done wax imaginable. I was going to give a two star because she did very well on my eyebrows, however I woke up this morning and it looks like I used a dull razor due to the red bumps. I have never had this reaction before so I lay the blame at foxybox’s feet.

No Foxy professionalism with their management! My wife has been a committed customer holding a monthly membership and promoting Foxy Box until having the following interaction with the manager Rebecca Nicol.
With being a member for over a year my wife was 7 mins late for an appointment due to the 5th street bridge construction. Upon entering Foxy Box she apologized for being late and offered to have the time deducted from her session. The woman at the front counter was short and not understanding to my wife at all.not knowing that this was the manager Rebecca. After feeling not heard or understood my wife decided to email Foxy Box to inform the owners/management about the experience and here is what Rebecca replied:

"We have zero tolerance for people who think the time and efforts of my amazing technicians are something they can take for granted. It is best you take your business elsewhere as my staff are worth far more than that. "

Being local business owners ourselves and living in a rather close net community, service is EVERYTHING and it starts from the top leaders of a business. Staff watch & listen how management interact with customers and follow suit.

In this case Rebecca was more concerned with being 'Right' verses listening to her customer and keeping them coming back happy.

Kayleigh provided the best laser hair removal service I’ve ever had. Her professionalism and attention to detail is exceptional. The overall experience was great. The studio is clean, felt safe, and the receptionist is very helpful and kind. Highly recommend.

If you are more comfortable getting these services in an official business space, then it's good for that. However, there are discrepancies in the abilities of the waxers - some are better than others - so, if you can find a regular time that works for you and the waxer that you like, great! Personally. If you're like me, and schedule last minute, then not so great. I also had my skin off ripped off more than once. Now I see someone out of their home, which works well for me.

There was no consistency in the service. I would almost call it discrimination. It was around the holiday season and they had a tree in the lobby with coupons as ornaments that you could pick off. As I waited in line, there were 3 people that were situated at the front desk including my aesthetician. They very pleasantly explained to the customer in front of me that she could take one or even a second one for a friend. Once she did that they gave her an additional promotion saying she would get a discount if she referred a friend. Me standing there thinking how nice and friendly they were - I was totally taken aback by the difference in service - the customer in front of me had had the same exact service done. I was advised how much the service was, I paid and that was it. When I approached the desk, the 2 other ladies now seemed to be engrossed in something else (I think one of them was the owner - seeing her photos on the website). It was my first visit there and I will NOT be going back. The 2 stars is because the aesthetician that waxed me was friendly and did her best to fit me in last minute. With that said, Brazilians hurt but not as much as this one did. They definitely need to work on their consistency in service. It was rude to see the different levels of service they're able to provide.

WOW WOW WOW. The service here is top quality. It is so clean and everyone is so friendly and professional. Kayleigh is my waxing girl and she is amazing. I have never had a waxing experience in my life and she has made it a normal and fun experience. It’s like catching up with a friend!

I’ve debated leaving a review for quite some time however after talking with multiple people I do not believe my waxing experience was normal. I should note that I went to a waxer who was new so I received a discounted price on services, I was expecting the services to take longer.

The good - super friendly and accommodating staff, a clean environment, my eye brow/ lip wax was fine (nothing to rave about but very standard)

The bad - the other wax I received was terrible, it was my first time being waxed down below so I wasn’t sure what to expect however not only was the process not the best as she kept getting wax stuck and had to use multiple strips and extra wax on the same spot (multiple times) she as attempted to use oil to remove extra wax but there was so much it became a strenuous process. After all of that I left with an extremely spotty wax job (would be unable to comfortably sport a bikini) and red irritated bumpy skin, I asked if this was normal and was informed I’d have to do four to five waxing treatments without shaving in between to receive a smooth wax. I ended up shaving the extremely excess of hair once my skin calmed down. Needless to say I haven’t returned since.

These ladies are awesome. The new location looks fantastic. They really know their stuff and are warm and welcoming. Super easy online booking is also a big plus!

Very nice atmosphere. Least painless waxing I've ever had. Fun, professional crew so far. Always look forward to my mommy time there. They also accommode If your child has to come with you. Great all around

This establishment is awesome, i've been going here since i moved to the island three years ago. Always seeing Bree or Sasha. I just happened to stumbled upon this place and literally have never regretted it. I always leave super happy, the techs are wonderful, lovely ladies, who provide awesome service, and the prices are beyond reasonable. Foxy Box also sell some amazing products which are never forced upon you, and if your unsure about if you need a product, or which product you need the techs are very knowledgable.
