Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery & Visitor Centre

What an amazing place to learn about fishing! We held my son's birthday here and Fiona our Outreach Instructor was awesome. Can't recommend this place more. They really take the time to educate you on everything to do with fresh water fishing. The stocked ponds make it easy for people to catch fish and quickly learn how it's done.

Such a fun place to visit! I didn't know it existed until I went with my kid on a field trip. It was very interesting and we all learned a lot. The fishing was everyone's favourite. Totally recommend a visit especially with kids.

Absolutely fantastic learn to fish program, highly recommend if you have the chance to participate.

I visited with my dad when I was 10 (2000ish). I wanted to touch one of the fish that were in the indoor open-top tank. I put a finger in the water, but none of the fish were coming to the top. Right after I took my finger out of the water, a fish jumped up and bit it. I cried and told my dad and one of the workers that it just randomly jumped out of the water. 20 years later I use it as a quirky fun fact on dating apps.

10/10 would visit again (and look with my eyes)

Staff/Volunteers over there with no greeting and no response. Kind of disappointed visiting there.

Great experience. The ponds have monsters in them. Good fun and practice landing, netting, handling and releasing fish back into water.
Friendly and informative staff. Worthwhile to go
