Wouldn't allow me to buy a sim card to set up prepaid on my own. Went to the best buy that is nearby and they sold me one no problem.

I pre-ordered the iphone15 on the first day of pre-ordering and it’s almost a week since they released the phone. I tried calling many times but never gotten a call back. The guy on the front was very rude too, made me feel like a hindrance. Just so you know Freedom, your staff doesn’t get the part of their job which is to answer questions. That’s why we go there to seek help and get better understanding with our plan and devices. I have been your customer for 7 years and you’re about to lose 1 loyal customer.

Had a very pleasant experience with a staff member named Won Lee when signing up for a new phone plan. Would recommend! He was very knowledgeable, kind, and could answer all of my questions.

This happened years ago. Got ID 4 different times when they tried to access my account. Tried to force me on autopay even though I didn't want to. Mislead, gaslighted, and lied to me about phone stock in different stores. I also called their lines and they guy had a big ego when talking to me and wouldn't take responsibility for the problems they have caused to me.

The attendant Coco is the worst at this store.

Yesterday I went to this store and there was a big line-up going outside the store. There were 6 people waiting and 3 attendants. There is no big deal waiting. Probably all people arrived at the same time.

The biggest issue is that the attendant Coco was trying to reduce the line-up instead of worry about solving issues for customers. If I go home with the same problem I will be a unhappy customer and this is very negative for the brand.

She didn't even pay attention what I said and completed the wrong request transferring my SIM card into a eSIM to the wrong phone. I had to go home with my problem and will have to wait another cycle to fix this issue that SHE caused, not listening the customers!

She didn't make any effort to talk loud as there is a invisible shield between customers and attendants. If she is having a bad day, go for a break! Customer goes to the store to get help and not returning with the same issue.

She is not there to help or solve customers problems. She is there to collect pay checks.

The brand has some issues like any other telecom company, but keeping employees like her facing customers will decrease even more the customer's satisfaction with Freedom Mobile.

Slogan “Free from overpriced data” is basically a joke. Freedom has similar offering with Telus and Bell, yet with much poorer coverage and limits on “national data”. They should just change the slogan to something like “Free from overcrowded information”, with the plan at freedom, you will spend less time on the Internet because the reception quality just keeps you from using the internet.

Customer support told me to go to a store with a valid ID to unlock my account so that i can subscribe to the smartwatch plan. The people have no clue what he has to do, the store manager came and said i have to use a more expensive plan, which is not the case. They don’t border to find out what the issue is.

I end up going to the other store near the food court, the young fellow was kind enough to look into it and unlocked my account. I am grateful for his patience.

I activated the smart watch without further issue, but then even when i live near kingsway, the reception on the watch is so poor that it always divert to the voice mail.

It is literally useless i guess if that is the case. I will keep it for a month or two, and if the reception of the watch remains poor, i will switch to other network.

I have so much freedom now as i am less connected now.

I went to this store yesterday to change the mobile plan. They are not professional, talking something to other while I were speaking. They said my phone plan changed successfully. After I came home, I received an email confirmation with details of the new mobile plan. OMG, the rate plan charge is higher than they showed me at the store. So disappointed. Absolutely not recommend this store.

Went into freedom today to purchase a phone for my husband.
I was helped by Victor. Not only was he courteous but he provided me with a phone and a plan that suited our needs.

I had a wifi modem to be delivered but it had a delay. I went there to ask them in person. They weren't helpful at all and I finally found out who the carrier is. They helped me finally!

A couple weeks ago I went there with my dad to help him switch over to their service. They had a deal with a free phone when activating a new plan. Once we got home we realized that phone was less superior to his current one with a more expensive plan so we decided to go back to return it. We asked for a reverse port but the rep didn't do it properly so I spent 4 days trying to reverse it since their customer service was difficult to deal with too. Everytime I called their customer service, I had to explain the situation over and over again, and they kept sending me their loyalty team to try to retain me even though we've already returned everything to them.

I recommend the sales reps to do a quick consult with their customers first to get to know their needs before selling them a phone/plan to avoid issues on both sides.

Service was quick and to the point which is always a bonus. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes with a replacement for my old phone. Had the best selection of phones from any Freedom location I have been to.

i went to upgrade my device as i received a direct text from freedom.however, the rep named Kevin lied upfront about the details of the offer and also i got billed twice the amount i need to be charged as he doesn't perform the account setup properly.so, i need to call customer service again and they then fixed the issue over the phone for me.highly disappointed with the service in this store

The customer service representatives were extremely unfriendly and arrogant. I hated their service. They were laughing at me for a little confusion. I cancelled the service immediately and would recommend others to do so as well.

Contacted this location to get get a new phone but the person who spoke wasn't very helpful and I felt like he was trying to hang up he phone during my 30 second call. Lack of customer service.

Horrible customer service. They don't care about once you get phone. The sale rep guys just ruining freedom reputation at this store. It is a shame. I will move to telus. At least they have the good customer service and better network.

Quite possibly the worst customer service on the planet. Guess who broke this and blamed me. Then refused to fix it. Actually not this location but the one in Metrotown that closed by TnT. Best thing ever!

I went today and asked for a plan on my phone, my boyfriend has his phone on international license and credit card.but today when i wanted to add a line to his plan, Jason and victor refused to do so, when two months back i was given the network plus the phone on same piece of ID.instead those guys were laughing and definitely seemed like they don't care.poor service poor management.the kind of reviews they have here it is expected though.i wish there was an option for zero stars.

We went there and we wanted to change my husband legal name which is on the his account but "Jason" didn't give us right direction and he was so so so unrespect to us. He cut my talk off and he passed us away! This happened to us there for two times!
He is so rude and I'm sorry for him! Low level customer service!

I have a phone plan that allows me free 250mins local calling every month. Freedom has been charging me for every minute used. When I call to complain, they will only reimburse me for the past two months. I asked them to refund me for all the overage charges. They put me on hold and did not come back on the line.
Their plans may be cheap but you get what you pay for. Their customer service is only through the phone and they are horrible. I would highly recommend you go with another provider.

The store sales associate named Lobna confirmed on the phone what freedom customer service already told me (that I'm eligible for a specific phone on my CURRENT plan). Get into store and she says "So we'll have to upgrade your plan": (
Of course no mention of this on the phone - before wasting my time coming in.

Shady sales tactics - shame on u.

In general Freedom mobile does not stand behind the information their customer service provides.

My husband used my card to hook up 2 phone lines but the person didnt put in any of the right information so now when I called to clarify something on the account they wont give us access to my account this company is beyond frustrating very very poor customer service do not get freedom waste of money

When I came in no hi or how are you doing, I am the one who has to start the conversation. I was being polite saying please and I have to ask for a receipt. When the guy hand in the receipt, he can't even say thank you.

I cringe every time I see someone at the counter. A bunch of wind and freedom from good service. There's no way you can get that much data for that low a price on a good network. 2 people's phones didn't work in my concrete apartment bldg!

They just want your money and after if you need help they don't help and are very rude costumer service. Stay away from them and speak in front of you in their own language and talk about your plan which makes you think what are they hiding.

Incredibly helpful and did their job very well answered my questions and gave me what I needed and guided me through confusing world of plans and phones. If there was one downside it was I had to wait quite a while for the staff to be finished with other customers before they can get to me but that's to be expected and a busy mall and a busy time in the store. The staff who helped me was Cindy and she did such a good job

I was in desperate need to change providers and get a new phone at minimal cost, I stumbled across this place not even hearing about them before. Low and behold I walked out of there with a brand new limited edition iPhone 8 with 64 gig and a great plan to suit my needs. This was the easiest and best experience I’ve ever had buying a phone! I must commend “IVY” for being an amazing representative for freedom mobile. I hope the management reads this and gives IVY slot of credit for the way she treats her customers! You are the best IVY!

Such horrible customer service that I had to switch providers. I came in to top up and just see if they have any deals. Then the clerk topped up my money to a different number. She tried to fix it and had to call customer service and I had to wait atleast 20 min. In that time I already wanted to get a refund and switch providers. So I asked for a refund and they said that they couldn’t do it because it was already in the system. So I asked for the manager and they told me that the manager was not working. So I’m thinking that all the money is in my account but apparently not.
I thought that I would be able to get my money back anytime. I went to get a new provider right away. My new provider asked me to find my account number, I couldn’t figure it out thus I went back to freedom to get my account number. Another person tried to help me and I asked me why the manager was wasn’t in, he replied that “our manager doesn’t work 7 days a week” and he proceeded to ask me if I work “7 days a week” I told him that I need my account number to switch to another provider, he told me that I would loose my money if I changed providers. That made me extra pissed because the lady before told that I would be able get my money back whenever the manager is in.

So I got a new number with a New provided, then I checked out my balance in my freedom mobile account and it said $5 and that didn’t make any sense as I payed $36.64. So I called them and they told me that they activated my account even though I specifically told them not to do that because I was gonna get a refund. Maybe they are incapable of understanding the English language. They told me to call customer service, which I did and ended waiting 30 min during the call. The customer service at freedom told me the same thing, that I couldn’t get a refund for the money that I just put into my account. Completely insane. I feel like they just want to take my money and they don’t care about anything.

In conclusion I’m gonna get my money back no matter what. They also noticed that I had switched providers so they don’t have any regard even more. Just pure unprofessionalism. I would not recommend anybody to be serviced at metrotown freedom mobile.
