French Beach Provincial Park

A lovely well maintained site, spacious well laid out pitches. A lovely west coast beach with picnic and play area facilities. Good dump and fast fresh water fill up opposite the entrance to the site with fresh water available at several location's onsite.

The waves are great for kayaking and the trails are incredible, especialy the one along the beach! I would come back for sure!

Nice beach - other than weekends and holidays it is often very quiet, you can have the whole beach to yourself. Not suitable for swimming / water sports, just a nice place to sit back and relax. Check it out!

Well maintained park. Most sites are fairly private. Excellent location for getting to the beach.

Fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Sooke. Our spot wasnt easy to get to with a baby stroller but once we were settled, we found a safe spot that was more sand than rock. My 3.5 year old had a blast playing in the waves and digging in the sand. There was also a playground nearby as well as washrooms. We visited this beach in mid April and it was quiet.

Another beautiful Vancouver Island beach! Parking is good, lots of outhouses, a short walk to the beach! A great park for kids to play in, with a huge rocky beach area.

Well worth the drive to visit this beach. Interesting fact: my cell phone told me I was no longer in Canada while I was here.
