The flan, Cubano, and cochinta pibil were some of the best food I've had in Vic. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Where have you been all my life! This is the best Cubano outside of Tampa I have ever had. The experience is just like going to the corner restaurant in Tampa. I am blown away. I will be back and back often!

Good and flavourful food and a variety of options, we got the huevos rancheros and chilaquiles both were great. Each time I’ve been in everyone has been really nice!

What a gem! Breakfast burrito with chorizo is 10/10. Place is very authentic and staff super friendly. I will be back to try all their other food!

You’ll divide your life into before and after once you have the Cochinita sandwich here. Incredible ingredients, flavour, and freshness.

My neighbour introduced me to this place. Omg, they have Cuban style tamales (vegetarian and non vegetarian), were amazing! The owner also advised to try something called pasusaz or something like that, he said typical from Nicaragua or Venezuela, not to sure, again, were delicious with a cup of coffee. Made of corn and cheese. I can’t believe this place doesn’t have a line up. I understand the owner makes everything from scratch. Great food.

Had the cubano, perfect bread to meat ratio! The black bean soup was also really good, didn't know if I would like it but I enjoyed it! They had this very tasty swirly bread, it was savoury and sweet!

I've been coming to Fresko One World regularly since they opened at the start of the pandemic and tell everyone about it too! I love a place with heart and authentic food. You can tell the food is made with love. Joe is always attentive and welcoming, too. Try the three milk cake - you won't be disappointed!

Not only is the food absolutely delicious here but the owners are superb! We were traveling with a group of students and the owner put on some music, brought out a disco light and taught us some bachata and salsa and was just overall so friendly and lovely.

Joined a friend for lunch here and had the Cuban sandwich. It was tasty and from my limited perspective seemed to be authentic. The owner was very friendly with us and brought us some pickled jalepenos to share. I would say come for the food and service. The inside is not particularly atmospheric, but it's cozy and the owner will make you feel welcome.

The pupusas and Tamales are a taste of home.

A 6 star place! Beautiful and fresh Pupusas, atmospheric music, really lovely and personable staff. You’re doing yourself a favour checking this place out.

TLDR: ask how long the wait will be.

We read the reviews and were excited to try the food. We weren’t prepared to wait over an hour for our food. The guy looked like he was running the place by himself so we understand he must have been busy but a heads up that it would take so long would have been nice. We didn’t have a ton of time as we were only in Victoria for a day and we feel like our time was totally wasted just trying to grab a bite.

Food was ok if pricey. Cook gave me a sneer as he plopped down my food and pretended not to hear me when I said "thanks"

Even though the place looks a little shabby, the food OMG! Whenever I go there the owner offers us the freshest food (what's in the oven) and my favourite is their rice and beans with chicken, and the most delicious Chorizopan! They are so good I don't even have photos because I usually gobble them up like I haven't seen food for a month before taking any photos! ️ The owner is funny, friendly and is very helpful with suggestions etc with the items on the menu. Sometimes he even has someone playing an instrument just by the door too! This place is so worth your money than going to a high end restaurant just to get some tiny portion because it's 'fine dining experience'. This is a must try spot especially if you're tired of eating white people food! Haha!

Ive been coming here once a week/two weeks. Great food, really like the omelets and Cubano. Great coffee and the owner is a great person.

Really good Huevos Rancheros yesterday. I can back to try the Huevos Rancheros Mexicans and found it even better, through I liked the Huevos Rancheros as well.

Came back again to try the tamales. I had the chicken which really tasty.

Today I am having the pupusas. Again very tasty.

Excellent food, every time I have been it has been outstanding. Fast service, friendly staff. Small Latin grocery section as well.

Yesterday we had toasted Cubana and Chorizo sandwiches - excellent flavour - with added choice of salad or soup. Lentil curry soup tasted great. Loved the fresh green garden salad with spinach sliced onion, sliced black olives, sliced tomatoes and a creamy dressing too. Quality food! Nice owner! Also - to the lady who posted about no downtown bathroom - terrible feeling! - a great public washroom is in the Bay Centre about 50 yards from Fresko.

Great place with great cuisine and hidden local gem vibe! I WISH THERE WOULD BE A WASHROOM (ended up crying trying to find one in a downtown)

Walking by saw they were open and popped in for a Cuban sandwich, definitely going back these are the places to support

Their food is very authentic. I tried tamales and conchas very tasty it made me come back to Mexico for a moment Products are good and good prices as well. Recommended for mexican and sudamerican products and goods.

Perfect start to the day I had the Americano and empanada for breakfast which were both amazing. The people and environment were also very welcoming and friendly. I will be back!

Im still dreaming of the corn bread i had here earlier.the breakfast was just rite too.i had never been in here before and im really glad i stumbled upon it.the huaman running the place maybe stole my heart already haha so that food must be made with a lot of love.i hope to return

The service was great, the ambiance was fun, I got one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had, and the food was both delicious and cheap. Wonderful place, I'll be coming back.

Had a cubano and black bean soup. Absolutely great, soup was flavorful and well spiced, served with fresh cornbread. Cuban was the real deal. This place is easy to miss but so worth it, very reasonably priced as well. Will be trying the tamales next time!

Great food at low prices. I love paces like this - authentic latin food at a very reasonable price. We had the empanada's and some ceviche and both were fantastic

Stopped in for lunch today. Had soup and a sandwich for $10.50, taxes included. Pretty good value for the area.

Really wanted to try this place out after reading about it in the news. I was not disappointed at all! I ordered the Cuban sandwich and a salad. It looked so good, that I forgot to take a picture of it. The bread was nice and crunchy and the salad dressing was very light and a bit tangy. I found my new lunch spot!

Don't let the look of this place deceive you, it has the best food for the best price in all of Victoria.
