Fudo Japanese Restaurant

We met for lunch. Our friend recommended the Bento box but warned it is alot of food. She was right. The order came with a very tasty miso soup.

The taste is still very good, the dining environment is also very good and relatively quiet.

A chef change over took place since my last visit. The place continues to be welcomed by locals during lunch hours on a busy Friday.
We have made reservation made for a group of three. Waitress is attentive on our dinning progress and communicates with other staff.
Things are made fresh so it could take a bit of time. I find their chicken karaage over fried and large pieces are tough to chew on. Agedashi tofu is lightly fried but soaked sitting in too much sauce. Salmon and yellowtail sashimi are fresh and outstandingly sliced.
Ice cream dessert is on the pricy end for one scoop.
Will return for another frieds meet up.

The service at the restaurant was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure to check on us regularly and ensuring that we had everything we needed. They were also knowledgeable about the menu and were able to provide recommendations based on our preferences.

Food is not great unfortunately. Fish is not fresh or an edible taste. Rice was dry and over vinegary. Other meals have overly strong or little flavours all together. Please taste your own food before serving to the public to understand the flavour before charging the amount you do for sub par food. Extremely dissapointing.

The food here is absolutely disgusting. From the reviews, 4.2 at the time, we thought it would be amazing. But after tasting one the supposedly good rolls from other restaurants, Rainbow Roll, we completely regretted our decision to choose this sushi restaurant. The "meat" was dry, flaky, stale, and tasted as if it was several weeks old. There was also no sauce in it. Moreover, the rolls had no avocado at all, which made the rolls very dry. We paid $51 for four rolls, which is extremely overly priced for a quick dinner for three people. We do not recommend this place at all, and will not come back until the food is up to the standard of other Japanese restaurants.

Nice quiet little place in a busy business park. Great service and great food. The dining area is attractive and clean. Good job, you guys!

Spider roll, I've never seen it like this elsewhere.super gargantuan, supposed to be soft shell crab in there but I couldn't find it, just a mass of tempura batter. Let down because it's usually good.

My family and I used to like this restaurant and have been a frequent customer bec we like the food despite from the slow service. However, yesterday we went there to have lunc, so we decided to sit outside on the patio of the restaurant at the corner table because we brought Stella (our small dog) and ties her leash out of the barrier because it’understandable that dog is not allowed. This one staff came out and very rudely raise his voice to tell us that dog is not even allowed near the barrier. I wish he just talk to us on a polite way but harshly tell us like our dog has a disease so rudely to our face. So we left and go to the restaurant in front of them and they kindly let our dog tied in their patio outside while we are eating. I will never come back to this restaurant anymore!

Best best best sushi! Hands down! Took 3 friends there on separate occasions and they loved it! In face i take my daughter there quite often for a mama and daughter date.

Fudo is the cutest little restaurant in Broadmead Village. There is limited seating indoors so if you have a group of more than 4 people I'd call ahead and make a reservation.

I've been a few times and the staff is friendly and the restaurant is always clean.

Food is always fresh and delicious. I love the karaage, it's crispy and moist. The sushi is fairly priced and the rice is flavoured perfectly for sushi, a lot of flavour. My favourite roll is the Mango Delight, it is a fusion roll so it's not traditional at all, but the Citron Tobiko is so fun and the other ingredients jive well together.

Yam roll and spicy tuna roll are very well done and fresh. The chef rolls were a little disappointing. I've decided I don't like crab meat in a roll because it overpowers the rest of the flavor. But I keep going back for the yam and spicy tuna!

My go to for delicious sushi. The fish is fresh and the staff is great. Just a cute cozy place I love.
