Best Mexican breakfast I’ve eaten in years. Gourmet for a reasonable price. Service was great.

First time here! Had the Fuego Benny and it did not disappoint! Service was friendly, the menu was unique and the atmosphere is awesome. Will absolutely be back and happily recommend to others!

Went to this place on a whim earlier this week, and we’ve come back twice since. The food is phenomenal, and staff are super friendly. Everything we’ve tried on the menu has been delicious, and easily customized depending on dietary needs.

Fuego is a busy place. Very popular.

I went in with a group of three people. The service was truly bad. From the moment we came in, the waiter kept giving us ugly looks and attitude. When the bill arrived and we didn’t give her the tip she was expecting, the waitress and the manager approach to us and asked us to give a tip or not go back again. There are several Mexican places with better taste, environment but most importantly service. NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL.

I decided to try the harvest breakfast and it did not disappoint! It was a tasty dish with a hint of spice that gave it an extra kick. I also loved the homemade salsa sauce - it was so good that I ended up buying a bottle to take home with me.

The service was also very friendly and fast. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, and it was right next to the sea which.

For dessert, I decided to try the churros pancakes which were simply delicious. However, I must say that they were a bit too sweet for my taste.

Additionally, there were plenty of parking spots available right in front of the restaurant which made it very convenient. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a tasty breakfast with a great view and friendly service.

Amazing food. I got the chiliqueles which pulled pork. Sooo good. Had to try the cornbread which was fantastic. Great overall dining experience. I'm coming back for the chimichanga

I had a rare Monday off and we happened to be downtown so we popped in here for brunch. I'd heard good things and my expectations were exceeded. From the friendly attentive service, fresh coffee and timely refills, helpful menu recommendations. Everything sounded so good. We finally narrowed down our choices. My wife had the Fuego Benny and I went with the Fried Chicken and Cornbread French Toast with side of blueberry coulis.
The flavours and textures and presentation are spot on.
It was all just so good and we left happy and very full.

Super tasty. Was heading to another restaurant when we came across them and am so happy we decided to go in. One of the best brunches we had in a long time. Highly recommended the Ceasar with bacon.

Updated 2023 - came back here as our last experience was great and had a disappointing experience. When our food was delivered, the server tipped my plate and spilled my eggs. Not enough to fall on the floor but enough to hang off the plate. She just put it down and was like, sorry. The yolk then popped on the table and she just walked away. A second server offered to get a replacement egg which ended up being rushed and very undercooked. In addition, the plate was supposed to have chorizo as part of the dish but it was also missing. It was brought out after we noticed it. Overall it was not good. I get that this happens and normally it can all be addressed but the attitude of the server was pretty poor and it was all just brushed off as "oh well". I will think twice before coming back here.

I don’t typically take time to review. My favourite restaurant in town. Unique menu and you won’t be disappointed.

Cannot say enough good things about Fuego! Everything that I've tried here is equally delicious. My absolute favourite is the Mango Mama pancakes, the combo of mango and blueberry with a hint of mint is so so good.

Was a bit of a wait to get in but I can't wait to go back, this was a suggestion from my wife and she nailed it. This place has such good food, new favorite breakfast spot.

Tried El Fuego for the first time and It was pretty good. Had the chicken and corn bread French toast and it had great flavours. The chicken was a little over cooked so it was a tad dry. Also tried their house made hot sauce and it was delicious with the right amount of kick. Will definitely be trying it again.

Awesome vegan breakfast. Veggie Skillet is delish. And topped with some of Fuego's own hot sauce was perfect. Yum!

How could you possibly be closed on Saturdays and Sundays? We were here for a weekend trip remembering fondly our brunch at Fuego a handful of years ago, and arrived to locked doors this morning. A big disappointment!

The food was absolutely amazing! There were three of us and we all ordered different things and they were all fantastic! We were visiting Victoria from our of province and I am so glad we tried Fuego! It was awesome!

Had the chimichanga. Soooo delicious. My husband had the fuego eggs Benedict which were too spicy for me but he enjoyed it.

Amazing breakfast spot. Mexican + breakfast, what more could you ask for. I couldn’t decide between the el porco Benny and fuego pancakes so I got both! Can’t wait to visit again soon.

Such a great place to come for food and drinks! I have always found this is one of the best breakfast places in town but there never seems to be a crazy wait like some of the other spots. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you're in town.

Fantastic as usual. Great food and friendly staff. Not too busy because we came in early before the lunch rush hour.

So good. The Benny was light and creamy and the chorizo in the breakfast burrito was perfect - not oily and overpowering - but so flavorful. Staff was friendly with a good sense of humor and the balcony seating made for a lovely experience.

My wife and I ate at Fuegos for the first time today. She had the veggie tacos and she said that they were amazing. My veggie omelette was great and the habenero sauce was tasty with just the right amount of kick to it. Enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the courtyard. The service was friendly and excellent. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious. Best meal I had on my trip to victoria. Had the bennie and the pancakes with the mango mama pancakes and the fuego benny, with hashbrowns and avacado. Filling, flavorful, excellent staff.

Nice breakfast place! Interesting taste & fusion of Mexican and American! However quantity is less for the price!

Authentic mexican food at its best! I had the huevos divorciados and they were delicious. They had gluten free options available which is a big bonus for me. The service was top notch and the vibe of the place is really nice. It brought me back to México for a moment:)

Love Fuego - our go to Brunch spot lately. The breakfast food is really good and the portions are rationally sized (but amazingly delicious).

I love eating here when dining in but if you are ordering to go make sure to ask them to package things that could get soggy separate from sauces or juicy items.

This place used to have gluten-free items marked on the menu and now they don't. We were very disappointed about this and also the service was not really that great. I would say we will most likely not go back unless the menu options improve.

FIRE! Just like it says! Had the breaky skillet, nom nom. Just finished eating and drooling thinking about it. Super friendly service. 10/10 you must eat here!

Fuego Old Town Eatery has delicious breakfast food served in large portions. Highly recommend having breakfast here.

If you have any dietary restrictions don't bother. They used to have full gluten free options labeled on the menu but no longer do. No gluten free bread options are available anymore, either, just raw corn tortillas (they won't fry them because they contaminate all their fryers now) and a benny was just a slice of ham and an egg with hollandaise on soggy, non-crisped potatoes. Sad stuff.

Nothing was labeled gluten free, it was not mentioned on site or menu so it was immediately Not Easy to deal with. The waiter had to discuss the options after forcing you to request things specially, so it's clear you're a problem. The waiter informed me after I asked Specifically that due to contamination I could not get the tortillas crisped. They rattled off a few options without the tortillas, nothing just as it was on the menu. I felt excluded for my restrictions, if it was a real concern for the business then items on the menu would be clearly labeled (really base minimum effort) and the staff themselves would be informed of what they've replied to me with here on the web, because the information doesn't line up.

It was our second visit to Fuego's and we weren't disappointed. I had their Church pancakes and my husband had their Fuego benny. The portions were just right and both of our meals were delicious. The service was also very prompt, attentive and friendly. We look forward to our next visit, which will definitely be sooner than later!

Recently bought an apartment in the area. Went to Fuego for breakfast this morning and absolutely loved it! Food was very well presented and tasted amazing. Would highly recommend.

Great breakfast burrito!
Husband got churro pancakes and Avo Benny, it wasn’t to our liking!
A quarter avocado was just sitting on the plate, it could have been sliced at the least!

Pancakes were too sweet to our liking, looked like pineapple marmalade on the top; we were hoping actual churro’s as per its name!

Service was great, and fast.

There could have been more options for substitutions.

Awesome take on Eggs Benny! Ate here 2 days in a row.because the food was incredible! Too bad they were closed on the Monday. We would have eaten here again. We will be back, for sure!

Quirky little place, service was great and food was so damn tasty! Best brunch i've had in a while! Pancakes were delicious as a side treat. Would definitely recommend a trip here! We ate outside overlooking Market sq which was lovely, and made us feel a little safer. Highly recommend.

Had the Breakfast Burrito and we wife has the Eggs Bennie which is served on corn bread. Both were excellent. Had to wait half an hour to get in, but service was good.

Grabbed breakfast-for-lunch and took it across the street to enjoy on a bench overlooking the water. Chilaquiles with added Chorizo sausage was a massive, satisfying meal. The Huevos Divorciados was equally generous and tasty. Great value for the portions, and it's genuinely quite delicious. We'll be going back to try more options, and dining in at their funky venue and cozy patio!

There are many interesting options for breakfast and brunch at this Mexican restaurant close to the bridge.

Yummy! So delicious! Walked around the block waiting for them to open and were the first ones in. Once we were finished, the place was full! That speaks volumes. Friendly staff, breakfast with a New Mexico flare. Gracias!

Delicious meal and great atmosphere. Hot coffee and great service, the "Benny and the cakes" was really good. I had the mango pancakes and fuego benny. Definitely coming again!:)

We went to have breakfast and told to wait for 45, when we went back in 20 minutes, the hostess was rude and unwelcoming, she totally ignored our presence till a seat by the door became available, very uncultured.

Beyond our expectations! Our first time eating at Fuego, and the food-service were amazing. Thanks to our fabulous server Frankie, we were spoiled rotten. Her attention to detail and sincere smile kept us fully content with our brunch experience. They are lucky to have her! We will be back for sure! Bravo!

Omg! They have the most delicious churros I have ever had! I've had a few different options from their menu and I love it all! There's vegetarian options that are delicious!

Easily the best chorizo sausage I've ever had! The breakfast food and coffee is simply exceptional and perfectly matches the price you pay. The salsa, guacamole, and slaw were impressively fresh and refreshing. Our service was quick, respectful, and memorably pleasant.

Cute little location with fast service. The pork tacos were flavourful, filling and well priced. The Cubana sandwich we had makes a return to Fuego necessary. Come here if you haven’t!

My family and I hopped in here while trying to find a cafe out of the rain. So happy to have found this place! The horchata latte was incredible; something I’d never had before, and I was happy with the service, the views, and the atmosphere. My breakfast was the Carmelita- a sort of fruit quesadilla that was to die for! Highly recommend.
