AMAZING pancakes, if you are an open-minded foodie, you have to try these pancakes that are a little piece of heaven.

Interesting place! The pancakes are made with a special technique, they are very soft and have a neutral flavor, (if you eat them alone you will not find a predominant flavor), but all the toppings that are served make them delicious.
In special seasonings like Halloween they have special, fun and beautiful plates.
Prices are high.

One of the best souffle pancakes in Vancouver is in this cafe! The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious! Would go back for more. Loved their drinks too! Perfect for brunch with your partner or family! Make sure you have a reservation during peak hours!

Looks nicer then it tastes, the pancakes are quite small and not filling in the slightest, and they give literally a table spoon of maple syrup for 3 pancakes. The price does not reflect what you get.

On the other hand, the drinks are really good and the owner has a high bar of standard, which is always a positive.

The soufflé they serve is exceptionally delicious. It would be even better if the prices were a bit more affordable. Though the service can be slow at times, the overall experience is quite satisfactory.

The eggs benedict souffle pancake was a solid brunch option, loved the fluffy pancakes with the hollandaise sauce.

The rose latte was really nice as well, we've come here a few times and they didn't disappoint:)

I have mixed feelings about this place because their desserts are actually quite superb. The presentation of their souffle pancakes and hot chocolates is aesthetically pleasing, well crafted and impressive for a small cafe like this. I especially like their tiramisu pancakes. Coming from a person who isn't a major sweets person, their pancakes are probably the best I've had in Vancouver so far.

However, what has me conflicted is their service. I understand that their cafe has limited seating and reservations are required if you want an actual sit-down table, but their process for organizing the reservations and customer seating could be more reasoned.

When my group and I came here for our first time, we didn't realize that reservations were important. We put our names down on the waitlist (told there would be a 45 min wait). However, there were multiple empty tables and seats at the bar that were unoccupied. When we asked about those seats, the employee said they were reserved. Time passed and the people who reserved it didn't show up for their reservation time. We asked about the seats again and they still said that someone has reserved it. It was almost half an hour and the people weren't showing up even after the employees were calling them. This didn't seem logical that these empty seats were being reserved for people who weren't even showing up. In the end, we had to hassle them to let us have seats. The employees seemed hasty and bitter to give us the seats.they gave us negative unwelcoming vibes when they served us.

The second time we went here, we also had an interesting experience. My friend put down our party for two on the waitlist while she was waiting for me to arrive. There were multiple empty tables again. After finding out a few groups did not show up for their reserved tables, she asked the employee if she could sit at one of the empty tables while she was waiting for me to arrive. The employee told her that she was not allowed because if both of us sat there, we would be disturbing the table of people beside us. This seemed odd. My friend asked if she could sit there herself (logic being she would take up "less room") while she was waiting for me and for another table to free up. The employee responded "Are you serious? " to which my friend replied stone-faced "Yes. I am. " The employee panicked and went to go ask the other employees if this was ok, which they were obviously fine with. Five minutes later, the pair beside our table left anyways.

Another irritating thing that happened was related to take out boxes. Apparently, if you order stuff to-go, you are given the take-out container for free with your food. However, if you dine-in, and want a take-out container for leftovers, you have to pay 25 cents. My friend asked why the take-out container is 25 cents if we dine-in but free if you take-out. He wasn't budging nor explaining the reason so we ended up having to pay the 25 cents for a container. We weren't bugged about the 25 cents.it was more about the illogic of the process we were skeptical about.

All in all, the customer service needs some work. The employees seem young and do not seem to have any critical thinking skills whatsoever with organizing seating for customers. And because of the past two experiences that I have had with my friends, I will not be returning here again. It is not worth waiting 30-90 min for a table only to be given rude, lesser accommodating service.

Japanese souffle pancakes are meant to have an eggy taste otherwise they wouldn't souffle to the Karen in the reviews

I would not recommend their pancakes. Nothing special and it was not cooked properly and you could taste and smell the egg which was not pleasant and I could barely eat them. I told them about the egg taste and they said it is normall and is the way their receipe is.their drinks were okay but overall its overpriced and not the best quality.

Portions are big and more than enough for one person. I ordered Egg Benedict Soufflé Pancake w/ Bacon Strips I didn't really like it because the crispy bacon tasted like burnt bacon and it was sweet, everything in my plate was tasting sweet. We also ordered Nutella & Caramelized Banana Soufflé Pancake which was good with some hot chocolate and mi-so cheesy. We didn't like the mi so cheesy either. Also, we felt rushed because they told us we are only allowed to seat there for 1 hr and they brought the order 20 to 25 mins after we ordered so we had to eat fast. Not a easy thing if you have a toddler with you.

I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH.the pancakes are so delicious warm and pretty! The staff are so friendly and kind, I appreciate their help!

Mixed Fruit Pancake
The fresh fruit made the plate so presentable! Topped with fresh cream lightly sweetened. But! I think this was the last batch in the oven so it was a bit crumbly, not fluffy and my roommate thought it was dry too

Tiramisu
Since we were not satisfied with the one above, we ordered another one. We dripped condensed coffee on the pancake, an ice cream ball, surrounded by shredded chocolate and nut crumbles. This time it's the first few out of the oven, still a little warm, super light in texture and dangling and shaking~

My roommate has been here before and ordered matcha latte, their feature is that they can make lovely coffee arts!

Fufu Pancake

Pancakes are soft and cloudy.didn’t know need a reservation which is kind of weird for a coffee shop/desert place? So had to order for takeout

Okay place had to come back 3 times because it was busy just to get a sit down, okay place for really soft pancakes that taste like eggs?

If you’re in the area, definitely give this place a try. There is limited seating, so you may have to wait a while since their pancakes are made to order. I did a walk in on Saturday at 2pm was lucky enough to be seated right away. They do recommend reservations for guaranteed spot. The Nutella and Caramelized Banana Soufflé Pancake was Fresh & Bouncy! Sweet, but not too sweet. The scoop of chocolate ice cream was cold and refreshing. Everything was perfectly balanced as all things should be.

Super disappointed since my last visit since they first opened.

My pancakes were RAW. I feel like if this is your cafe’s specialty, they should have honed their technique by now and provide consistency to customers.

We ordered the sausage and salted cream. The pork tasted a bit stinky. And the salted cream I’m pretty sure is just their cheese foam…

We were sitting right across the register and the servers did a really good job in avoiding eye contact for 15 min when I needed their attention, plus took my cutlery away and my guest had to get up to get new ones.

Overall, the quality of food snd service has gone down. Not worth the hype unless you reserve. Plus side, they did redo my pancakes thankfully. And the sweet menu has 3 now instead of 2 pancakes.

The staff looks really tired tbh I guess no need for improvement when there is always demand.

I just want to say this place is so pretentious and overrated. The guy working the counter was awful he was so rude and dismissive. When we asked a question he was snappy with the most annoying voice. And forgot about us while he was being rude to other customers who came in. His presence along with the overrated pancakes soured the entire experience there. To whoever was working the counter on September 30th closing shift. The pancakes weren’t even good. They’re overpriced and not worth the wait. I would never step foot in this establishment again and they need to teach their employees customer service and manners.

Recommended to make reservations ahead of time. We ordered savoury pancakes and they are so fluffy! Their passionfruit pineapple cocktail soda is surprisingly refreshing and can tell it is freshly made!

I’ve been there twice and their sweet soufflé pancakes are delicious! There Seasonal flavours are always a great choice. Service is okay, food is amazing!

Yet another fake Japanese place. Stale bread. Order a hot coffee? You get an ice cold one. Have a problem with that? They don't care. Incredibly hostile, arrogant workers.

Wonderful fluffy and tasty soufflé pancakes! We ordered the milk tea bubble (only available during week days), & two savoury dishes - okonomiyaki & eggs Benny. All were delicious but I really enjoyed the okonomiyaki. It was surrounded by cabbage and other veggies and was the perfect lunch portion! The milk tea was only slightly sweet which was perfect. We only waited 10-15 min as well! Great cafe!

Not impressed. Remember to call upfront for a table or expect ~2hr waiting time during weekends.we didn’t want to wait that long so we decided to take out but somehow it tasted just so so if it’s not dine in.

My boyfriend and I went last Saturday around 2-3pm. I recommend making a reservation before! (although I don't know if it helps much) we had to wait 30min.why would a table be vacated, Fortunately it wasn't long, although there were people waiting just like us (1 family and 1 couple) I don't know if they made a reservation before because they sat down first but well.
All the time they were filling our glasses of water, the attention of the boys was helpful, the drinks were hot and delicious, we had to wait around 25 minutes. So that they were ours Pancakes, they arrived at the table and had a good presentation, good value for money Quality, I highly recommend the Banana with caramel.
Personally, I loved them when I tried them, very rich and fluffy like cotton, but halfway through I was already disgusted by the taste of the egg, I ordered a tiramisu, it didn't taste like tiramisu The flavor of the egg abounded, I had to put honey in it to finish them, so if you don't like that type of dish that much, I recommend ordering one for 2 people, plus they are filling.

Nice place but boy, good attention, I don't like the taste of the pancakes because of the egg, but a 4 out of 5 is fine.

First visit and loved it! The store is very cute, clean, and socially distanced well with the tables. So cute how they have name tags for their plants.

Shared the matcha mochi, dark chocolate, and tiramisu with friends. Not overly sweet, just enough. The pancakes are light, fluffy, and melt in your mouth. But with the rich toppings, one plate is more than enough for a single person. With three people, we were stuffed. For drinks, I had a latte and it was solid. The seasonal drinks looked interesting.

Staff were very nice and attentive with dietary needs, checking in and water refills. They have an assortment of tasty looking baked goods as well, but I was too full after pancakes.maybe next time!

If like the girl from Azumanga Dai'oh, you have ever wondered what it's like to eat fluffy-looking clouds in the sky, this is probably the closest that you will ever get. Indescribable soft texture, very nice rich flavors, excellent presentation. Definitely worth the drive!

Very nice vibe here. Staff are kind and attentive. Kitchen area has viewing windows where you can see them making their super fluffy souffle pancakes!

Went with high expectation, the soufflé was mediocre at best. Without the toppings soufflés tasted somewhat bland. They do take reservations, call them or contact them through social network.

Great food and super nice team there, strongly recommended if you like pancake or dessert, it is great taste and fantastic service.

I went here pre-covid, expect to wait 20-30+ min for the pancakes to be ready, especially on weekends (and they only bake them in batches at a time, after you order). But once it is ready WHEW it only takes a second to devour. Loved how airy, fluffy and light these pancakes were and how pretty the presentation is. Just wish the place was a teeny bit bigger and wait times weren't as long!

The food is very good, pancake is fluffy but we were disappointed with the packaging. Most cafe's have the tapioca on top wrapped around plastic for you to eat at your own leisure. However, in this case the pancake was almost flattened by the packaging and the separate containers of tapioca made it a very messy experience. So, yes delicious food but very bad presentation to go.

I have been wanting to visit here for ages and finally did.oh my goodness! It was so good. We ordered the nutella pancakes (not its official name) and they were heavenly. The staff were a bit awkward especially when we walked in as we didnt have a reservation and we're told we had to wait some time but then another staff member greeted us again and give us a seat right away. Either way the food was amazing and I highly recommend visiting

I loved the atmosphere of the cafe. It was very cute and cozy.

I ordered the eggs benedict with sausage. The sauce was delicious and paired well with the fluffy pancakes. The eggs were cooked perfectly, nice and runny. The salad a typical out of the box spring mix with japanese sesame salad dressing. The sausages were alright, they were a bit too sweet for my taste. I prefer the bacon. The entire meal was a good balance. It fills you up and is not too heavy.

My friends and I tried their homemade sodas. The one I tried was passionfruit and pineapple. The flavor of the two fruits were balanced, one did not overpower the other. There was a good amount of carbonation, even after 30 mins. The drink was very refreshing.

I would love to come here again to try the sweet side of the menu.

The place was busy (with good reason), but I didn't wait long. I ordered the tiramisu soufflé pancake and it was so good! The pancake is thick and fluffy and they didn't skimp out on the mascarpone cream! I also ordered earl grey tea with cheese foam and their cheese foam is also good. The staff is also friendly so overall it was awesome!

Been wanting to try this place for awhile but never got to it cos I tried the fluffy pancakes at milk cow and was so disappointed that I figured this place would be the same. It is not, Fufu does the fluffy pancake a lot better - which makes sense considering that's what they specialize in. Definitely preferred the sweet pancake over the savory one. Tried a couple of the coffee drinks (ice mocha and sesame latte) but didn't like any of them.

Had a good experience. Young lady that greeted us was very nice. I liked the presentation and noticed the quality. Very important. Pancakes were delicious. It is popular so plan ahead.

Come here for the pancakes, but also get a drink on the side! The pancakes are super super fluffy and their vast selection of cafe drinks are delicious. Would highly recommend any of the sweet soufflé pancakes and the hojicha drinks

Came here to try brunch with my sister. The service was great. They take covid-19 precautions very seriously by wearing masks and gloves. They also clean up high touch areas. Tables were spaced out. The wait for the pancakes was about 15 to 20 mins after ordering but the wait was worth it! The food tasted awesome though! Pancakes were fluffy, the eggs, sausages and bacon were cooked perfectly. Salads on the side were a great and healthier alternative to fries. One thing that could be done better is controlling noise level of other tables. Although tables were placed far apart from each other, there was a table next to us that was rather loud. I can understand that it's a cafe and everyone has a right to talk but I don't really want to listen in on their exciting and detailed conversations.

I love the staff and kitchen who work here, they are so kind! And the japanese style pancakes are amazing! The drinks are also perfect! Best breakfast in Vancouver and very instagramable

I went to Fufu Pancakes on March 20,2021 and arrived at 8: 10PM. The male staff at the register told us that there were no seats available and that we should probably just order take out. We proceeded to order a pancake to go and he said it would probably be a 20 to 25 min wait. About 5 minutes later, another group came in, and the same staff told them the same thing, to order to go. It about 8: 20 now, and one of the tables opened up. The same staff went to put a reserved sign on the table. The second group asked if they can sit there, and he said no because he said another group was coming. Almost immediately another table left, and the same group asked if they could sit there. He hesitated but eventually had to clear the table for them. He stressed that they have to be out by 9: 00PM because that's when they closed. At this time 8: 30pm, we got our take out and we left.

Now, I'm writing this review because I feel like that staff did not want us to dine in at the restaurant even though they are opened till 9: 00PM. He came up with excuses just so that he doesn't need to clean up another table. Why did he reserve the table when it's already 8: 30pm and they close at 9: 00pm? Probably just lazy and doesn't value guests. I also didn't understand why he would not give us the table too. It was really inconsiderate and rude.

That staff does not really put a good impression on the business and especially the name, Fufu Pancakes. Hope the owner would talk to him to change his attitude.

The mini pancakes are soooooo fluffy, even after I got home. Awesome! What a camera worthy drink.

Disapointing flavours. I've had the souffle pancakes in Japan and these were hardly a shadow of those. Overpriced and combined with the tiramisu powder almost bitter. The matcha latte was very grainy. I was really looking forward to this place and I'm very sad.

They have the worst service I had ever experience. We arrived and told the person who was taking the order what we wanted, she told us to wait for a table, we said ok fine while they prepare the pancakes (that take around 20 minutes) we will wait for the table. We waited around 30 minutes and when we finally had the table she told us she hand´s place the order so it would take another 30 minutes to get our food.like seriously? Waiting 1 hour for a pancake it's not worth it!

I am usually not a pancake person but I loved the tiramisu pancake from Fufu café. It was light and yummy. The side ice cream was very good too. Good service!

Great quality and reasonably priced. I've tried almost everything on the menu and it's all delicious. The rotating seasonal option is usually great too.

Really nice ambiance. Plus, even though they're not a coffee place, they make one of the best iced americanos I've had to date. Fruit teas are also awesome.

The service is really bad. Asked us to pre-order an Americano and hot chocolate, and come back in 30 minutes. When we came back and asked if we could sit at one of 3 empty tables we were told they were all reserved. Had to get our drink to go. Our intention was to sit down and enjoy a hot drink on a cold day.

The large window at the back offers a great view of the fluffy pancake making process. The staff are nice and appeared to work well together. The pancakes did deflate quickly as other reviewers had mentioned, so it is advised to eat quickly if you want them fluffy. The hojicha latte was good and could have been more refined had it been filtered. The food looked great when it came out of the kitchen. My recommendation would be to filter the tea ingredient menu items so that it is less grainy. Overall a nice place with a comfortable setting. Reservations recommended.

Wonderful pancakes, not to sweet i really enjoyed the mont blanc pancakes absolutely lovely. Fluffy lightly sweet. I also had the hazelnut latte and strawberry lattee. Both wete equally good and just the right amount of sweetness. Well trained staff very friendly and professional.

Good packaging. The ice cream was (really) frozen so melting wasn’t a worry for takeout. I highly praise this. Great pancakes, they don’t taste special or anything but still worth a try for a jiggly pancake! Great Ice cream scoop and coffee, go really well with the pancakes. Only downside is the price, a little too expensive.

Some how light and fluffy pancakes filled me up as if I had eaten a feast. Unless sharing I definitely recommend going only if you are starving. It was delicious though, and I wouldn’t leave without eating every bite. Also the Hojicha latte was amazing!

Had brunch @fufupancakecafe. Omgoodness, if you haven't been here yet, please do yourself a favour & go, seriously, what are your waiting for? ! This is a cute little cafe with seating for about 14 give or take. You can tell they take COVID-19 seriously here. They take your temperature & information when you walk in, they are all wearing masks, they are constantly cleaning all touch points & the tables are well spaced. We ordered the following:

Tiramisu Soufflé Pancake - three fluffy super light pancakes with a generous dusting of cocoa powder, mars capone whipped cream, Kahlua espresso sauce, espresso flake ice cream, dark chocolate shavings & slivered almonds. I mean do I need to say anything more? ! The pancakes were like little clouds & everything was well balanced, not overly sweet. It was perfect!

Eggs Benedict Soufflé Pancake w/Oyama Sausage - three fluffy super light pancakes with two poached eggs, hollandaise, two sausages & a side salad! Absolutely love their version of eggs benedict. The pancakes were a nice base for those luxurious velvety poached eggs & hollandaise sauce. The sausages were slightly sweet & cooked perfectly. The side salad with an amazing dressing was a refreshing change from the heavy fried potatoes you usually get at other restaurants.

I love the open concept kitchen (it's actually behind glass) where if seated at the right tables, allows you to watch them create their magic! The service is friendly & everything is made to order. Like I said do yourself a favour & head on over there. It's definitely a great way to treat yourself!

These were the first Souffle pancakes that I have had, and I really enjoyed the uniqueness of the different style. They were light and fluffy just as expected. However, the actual pancake tasted very strongly off egg to me, which I didn't like. Due to the process of how these are made, I am sure the taste is as it should be, although I don't have anything to compare to. Everything else was excellent, the pancake toppings, the vanilla latte, the decor, and the service. The pancakes just don't suit my tastes, but I think that is more my issue and not that they were made badly.

It's really mediocre food. It's already expensive for what it is, $16 for 3 pancakes. It includes whipped cream but they charge you $1 extra for it. I don't get why they just don't include the whipped cream in the price. Did take out and the service was incredibly slow.

Matcha $12.50 and Tiramisu $14

The pancake was rich with egg flavours and very soft!
Real coco powder adds a bitterness kick to it which went so well with the sweet chocolate ice cream. It was very well balanced!

Did not taste good. It was too eggy and tasted undercooked. Also too overpriced. I dont see good value in this place.

Are you guys crazy this is one of if not the best pancake spot in Vancouver.the attention to detail is next level and they are always consistent. The bacon is the best I've literally ever had eating out.you need to try this trust me, its BOMB.

Very soft japanese souffle pancakes! Ambient and aesthetic atmosphere. Limited seating. We had to wait a little before the pancakes came out (20min), but while you're waiting you can take cute pictures! The pancakes themselves were very fluffy and fun to eat. The plating was beautiful. Its more so an experience rather than going for just pancakes. A little more on the pricier side.
