I got very precise and knowledgeable service from Cindy. She knows her stuff. I have a very high prescription and we focused on the right set up for working from home. I already had good driving glasses and progressives and instead of just getting the same, she helped me decide on office glasses that allowed me to navigate my daily routine working on a computer and seeing around the house. This has been lacking with having only corrected for driving and reading in the past. I didn't see anything in between. Now I can see! I can cook in my kitchen and read documents on the screen or my iPad.

Dr. Woods is an amazing optometrist. Very knowledgable. The sales and support staff are very friendly and helpful. I recommend FYI in Sechelt/Wilson Creek without hesitation.

How do I start this? Definitely was lied to for some reason…A year ago I had my eyes examined to find out they haven’t changed at all. But didn’t do my dilation because I had no one to drive me home. Now the doctor is refusing to let me order more contacts until my eyes are examined again. So I asked if I could do the dilation now if I had paid for it last year…. Wait for the person to check my files and then told I didn’t pay for it. Checked my receipt after leaving and called to clarify and told I did pay for it. I was one foot out the door already due to the dismissive attitude a year ago with the new doctor. Now I am done. Going to Costco instead. Which amusingly will save me $25 plus fyi charges for contact fitting and it’s free for Costco members. Still baffled as to why someone would flat out lie to me. Thank you to the 2 ladies that were very kind to me. Good riddance to the two that weren’t. Especially the one that lied.

I highly recommend FYidoctors in Sechelt. Their entire service centre is very modern, professionally staffed and efficient. The whole process from eye exam, to lens recommendation to fitting and advice has been excellent. Cindy has been very accommodating and super helpful to answer my questions and help adjust and fit my glasses. Very happy that I chose them as my opticians.

Kathy at FYI Sechelt BC did an amazingly excellent job of caring for my wife when she picked up her new glasses! She also adjusted three additional glasses, kindly working through her lunch break so we did not need to make an extra trip.

What was so special about this visit was Kathy’s deep empathy, patience, and kindness for my wife’s chronic illness and her compassion towards her.

Visiting the coast and ripped my contact! Called FYi doctors and they gave me a free sample/replacement. Made it so easy and were very helpful. Thank you so much, highly recommend!

I recently dropped my glasses and broke the frames. After contacting another local optician's shop about getting replacement frames and being pressured to have an eye exam I didn't want or need, I went to FYI. The optician there immediately understood my problem and explained she could try their spare parts department and if there wasn't anything suitable there we could look at what could be ordered. In a few minutes she came back with some frames similar to my old ones. She modified my lenses slightly to fit, and when I asked how much they would be, she said, Just leave us a nice review! Thank you FYI, you made my day! When I do need a new pair of glasses, I'll come back.

I’m on the fence. Love Dr Woods. But getting service from this place is painful. Days for a returned call. Vague answers about timing for product. Poor communication. Nice people but I just don’t understand why the service is so slow. No sense of urgency from anyone. Maybe the place just runs on coastal time. Slooooowwwww. Be prepared to wait for everything.

Had good service in the past but getting service now is painful! Made an appointment after having to call back repeatedly and when I turned up they had no record of the appointment. Waste of time. Unfortunately few options on the Coast but will be looking for a substitute.

Visiting Halfmoon Bay. Broke the temple of my glasses just behind the hinge. Went to FYI this morning as a walk-in for a repair. They replaced the.temple in about 20 minutes and refused payment. That is superior customer service! Thanks very much.

Booking an examination was a pleasant experience from beginning to end. I was greeted by the front desk staff, appreciated my time with Dr. Wood who was friendly, informative and efficient. Jocelyn, patient, frank and enthusiastic, helped me choose a new pair of frames that fit and invite compliments. Thank you.

We walked in looking for help and some weird looking angry lady with a grey bob cut was really rude to us. We will certainly tell all our clients about this negative client experience and certainly share this with everyone we know for now on. Thanks a lot, she was basically discriminatory.

I had new lenses put in my sunglasses. The service was very professional and prompt and not unduly expensive. This location has been my eye care stop for many years.

While booking the appointment was a little frustrating, since I didn't hear back from anyone for a week after leaving a voicemail, my experience was fantastic with Dr. English during my exam, and out of this world with Vanessa yesterday when I was picking up my new prescription and ordering sunglasses. She showed extreme patience while I tried on probably 30 pairs of glasses, which then had to be sanitized. A+

Everybody I dealt with at the office was very helpful and pleasant and professional. Vivian helped me select and then she fit the glasses. She was excellent. Highly recommended.
