I came to FYI looking for a new pair of glasses and the team created an incredibly positive experience for me which completely exceeded my expectations! It has been so long since I last bought a pair of glasses that I had no idea what I wanted, but Daywell was super accommodating in picking out styles for me and helping me figure out what frames suited me most in terms of comfort and aesthetics.

I also brought in my old pair of glasses which I thought were unsalvageable since they’d been through some damage, but Mark kindly adjusted them so they fit again.

Everyone at FYI was knowledgeable, efficient, and patient. I had a lot of questions but they made me feel welcome and reassured my entire visit. Thank you!:)

Had an amazing experience with FYI at this Dunbar location, great exam by Dr Hagedorn and then great purchase experience with Mark and fitting experience with Kim. Love my new sunglasses!

I had my appointment with Dr. Khan who is professional and caring. She is also very knowledgeable, providing thoughtful answers to all of my questions.

All of the other staff I met were friendly, making me feel welcome!

Eye exams are always a breeze at FYidoctors in Dunbar. Every specialist and doctor, Dr. Khan in particular, is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I've never had less than an extremely positive experience.
Paul Eddy, one of the opticians, is just a pure joy. Like everyone at FYidoctors, he knows what he's talking about. But his energy is infectious. Quite simply, he makes it hard not to love every moment selecting your frames.

Paul the optician was very helpful and accommodating.
I have been going to this location for years and every year the services are exceptional.

It was my second time at FYI Dunbar with Dr Todd Mc Nabb and he is really great and i saw after Paul Eddy he is really amazing and the best customer service. Martial Del Salvador

So bad! We did the appointment at 2pm, when we arrived no stuff helped us. The reception gave us a tray and ask us pick the frames by ourselves, When we asked which section is for males. She has no idea! After we picked the frames we asked the help. The reception said the staff was on break. After she was gone. Nobody is the store just ourselves. That super crazy! I don’t want to visit it again today!

Just had a great experience at the Dunbar FYIdoctors.
Dr Todd Mcnab gave me a thorough eye exam. He was so helpful and informative, and explained everything extensively……. Then I had the pleasure of dealing with Paul who helped me choose frames for 3 pairs of new glasses.
I am delighted and could not say enough about the service and quality.

We have been going to see Paul at this location of FYI for several years now. I purchased glasses for myself from here a few years ago and we go here on a yearly basis for new glasses for my son since his prescription has been changing every year. Paul is extremely knowledgeable and provides incredible customer service. He has always gone above and beyond. For example, when the store didn’t stock specific frames my son was interested in, Paul was able to source them so that my son could try them on. Paul always goes out of his way to ensure that glasses are a perfect fit for a person’s face, including spending a great deal of time adjusting the glasses as required until the fit is ”just right”. We literally drive all the way from White Rock to see Paul at this location! If you need new glasses, I highly recommend going to see Paul at this location of FYI.

My son has to get new glasses. They were very accommodating with his school schedule. Paul Eddy was absolutely wonderful and such a pleasant and vibrant person. He helped my son get his glasses fitted and answered any questions or concerns he had. Highly recommend

Great experience with the Dunbar location. I have purchased two pair in the last 6 months. Had eye exam and purchased frames/lenses. I needed progressives lenses which need to be properly fitted for correct sight and comfort. Worked with Paul who was very knowledgeable and provided excellent service. Found a great pair of frames and they fit perfect. Highly recommend this location.

Just had a great customer service experience with Paul Eddy of FYidoctors Dunbar. The story starts with the purchase of a new pair of glasses with progressive lenses from FYidoctors Dunbar back in May 2020. My previous glasses could no longer be used, because my lens popped out of the frame while biking and was lost, so I specifically asked for a durable frame to make my new lenses don't pop out. Well sure enough, one of my lenses popped out of frame of my new glasses, and was lost again. I met up with Paul Eddy and explained the circumstances. Paul was not only able to expedite a free replacement for glasses under warranty, but also recommended a more durable and stylish plastic frame. Thanks for your help Paul! The new glasses look and work great!

Dr. S. Brooks is a very thorough and competant optometrist. Thereafter, the FYI opticians have a very good quality of frames. I love the RayBan collection, and recently chose a replacement for my prescription sunglasses. Mark was the optician who took care of me. During this time of COVID the clinic is very careful using masks, temp.checks, and hand sanitizer. I felt safe and secure. Thank you.

Dr. Brooks and Tom, who sets up your glasses, are the best in town. They are professional, speedy and kind. I highly recommend!

Purchasing experience on the retail side was great as well. Paul was the one that got me fitted and took time to explain different options for my lenses and what sorts of coatings I could add on. It was quick and painless and they made me feel empowered about my decision instead of being pushy to get any sort of sale.

It was a pleasure having Mark help me choose my glasses. He let me try on many pairs that I chose (despite having to clean them all afterwards), but the pair he selected was the best! He reminded me that I could claim the glasses on m insurance, and he rushed the order. Very happy!

Great selection of glasses and optometry equipment, and even better staff! Paul helped me pick and purchase my first pair of prescription glasses, and made the experience lovely. Another gentleman also helped me out, and the desk/medical team was awesome too. If you're in Dunbar and need an eye exam or a pair of glasses, this is your place.

The store had an excellent selection of high-end frames. Paul was very helpful in helping me select my new eyeglasses. The glasses arrived as described and on time. I highly recommend this location for sourcing your next pair of eyeglasses.

We had a terrible experience with Russell Tong at this clinic (Dunbar location). He used to be with other clinic and later moved to this clinic for some reasons. He provided our contact information to this clinic and they started to contact us for the children's eye exams. However, they didn't inform us that, they do charge extra $25 dollars for each child for the provincial MSP covered children's eye exams, and we have been charged $50 for two children. This is the first time I have been charged for such extra fees and I would advise whoever would like to visit this clinic that, be careful and do your homework before going there.

I was in Vancouver for my daughter’s wedding and had a little accident while decorating and poked something in my eye. After dropping to the drugstore for eye drops, the pharmacist advise me to go to the FYIdoctors where I was taken in immediately and got a full eye examination which determined it was such a small scratch that would heal quickly. Dr Brooks and the whole staff were very professional and caring. Thank you all.

I highly recommend Dr. Stephanie Brooks and the team of professionals at FYI doctors (Dunbar). Dr Brooks is a skilled professional who takes the time to explain the examination process, treatment and/or correction options, eye health and function. This is a very well-managed business. All my appointments were on-time, efficient, informative and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Five stars.

I’ve had eye appointments with both Dr Brooks and Dr McNab and they’re both friendly and passionate about what they do. I recently inquired if they had a replacement nose pad for some sunglasses that I had bought elsewhere and they replaced them free of charge. They’re taking careful precautions during the covid pandemic as well.

I hadn’t been to have my eyes tested in years. Immediately I felt welcome when Dr. Hagedorn introduced herself. A great combination of friendly and knowledgeable. After my eye exam, she explained the options I had for contacts and or glasses. Not once did I feel pushed or rushed to make a purchase. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone. I’ve already sent my family.

I had an eye exam in November 2019 with Sarah Hagedorn and found an anomaly with my retina so she wanted to check my past records from previous exams from my prior optometrist plus I should schedule a check up with my regular doctor as the anomaly could be symptomatic of another problem.
They had no forms at the moment to request transfer of the information. No problem except I had to keep calling for about a month to see if they had the forms. No one ever called me back. Finally forms came and I filled them out to request the info they needed. Next I had to keep calling or checking in to see if they had received the info yet. At no time did they ever follow up with me. It was always me chasing them down. On one call I find out that Dr. Hagedorn had left for a month - 6 weeks again no previous advice of this. (nice to know?). When I did finally speak with another Dr at FYI she could not find the information but said its probably no problem. Dr Hagedorn FYI finally made a reappearance after 4 months? ! And sent me an email stating she had received no information and could I provide it again. OMG! Such incompetence. Nobody seems to have any idea what's going on there and extremely poor follow up after the exam is paid for! ZERO stars

Dr. Brooks is thorough, caring, professional, and friendly! Other staff are friendly, attentive and understanding too! Great selection of frames with a fair range of pricing.

A friend of a friend works here, so I try with this place, but have gotten two negative impressions in a row.

All five star Fantastic expeience! Dr. Mah helped me to recover an infection from my monthly contractors, which I have used for 20 years. She suggest me to change it to daily contacter, which is very comfortable and easy to use. She is very professional and precise, the step and equipment she choose is high end. She is the best doctor I know so far. I strongly recommend her!

If there were zero stars that’s what I’d give. Worst customer service from reception. The only reason I go is for the doctor. The reason why I am leaving is because of poor reception at this location. Zero stars.

Dr. McNab is great. Has taken care of our family with great care. Good team of others working there as well.
