Great experience with Dr. Durst. Very kind and thorough throughout my eye assessment. I highly recommend.

Today I went to this location to make an appointment for eye exam. Even I have extended health coverage, one of the lady in front desk she said you are not fully covered. Then I decided to go to another clinic to make my eye exam. Then I found out this clinic put my my coverage on hold for them I was not able to make another appointment until I get back to this location to remove their hold. They made to do spend 3 hours back and forth. Also, luckily in the 2nd location they told me you are covered fully. Not recommended at all.

The staff at FYI Doctors are consistently courteous and very accommodating, especially when I had an emergency. They made every effort to solve my problem in a very timely manner. Dr Tse is simply outstanding in knowledge. She is gracious in every way.

Professional and courteous. We've been going here for 15 years, and always pleased with the device. Staff go over and above.

Truly impressed! Neve had the eye exam done so thoroughly. From my experience, in the Lower Mainland, the exam in some of the more reputable clinics involves a patient reading the chart and has his/her eyes checked in refractors but, at this clinic, I had my vision so fine tuned that the results turned out to be quite different than the ones I had before. Plus, I got the information on the physiological health of my eyes as well.

The staff here are amazing and the service is friendly, professional and prompt. They know what they're doing and I've been coming here for years. Highly recommend!

The staff at this location are the friendliest people in retail today. They treat you with respect and want to know about you. They are very professional when it comes to your eye care. They take the time to explain things and never try to push you to purchase anything. When you do want to look for frames and lenses or contacts, they have great selections, reasonable prices and quick and efficient service. We have been customers of theirs for over 40 years and will continue to enjoy going there for our eye care. I would highly recommend them.

FYidoctors has been my “go to” for my eyes for a number of years now. They are friendly, professional and always accommodating. Case in point, they made room for me when I recently had an emergency and could not get in to see an optometrist in my neighbourhood; I always feel in good hands with their staff. I know FYi has my health as a priority and would highly recommend them for eye care.

I would definitely recommend FYIdoctors in New West. From my eye exam with Errin to choosing glasses with Bettina, I felt I was in good hands through the whole process. I wasn't 100% onboard about getting separate "screen time" glasses, but it turns out that this was the best decision that I made! They make a huge difference.

Came in to look for glasses… associate Simerjit was so kind to helped me look… very shy and sweet. Educated and knowledable about the glasses… great service will recommend…

Dr. Tse was professional, efficient and friendly while conducting exams for my 2 children. The staff was also great with my children making them feel safe during the pre-exam screens. My children had fun getting their eyes checked!

Best optometrist I have ever had.
Terynn Chan was extremely professional and knowledgeable. From the way she proceeded with the examination and went through the pictures and charts, you could tell she really cares about the patient and was not only going through the motions. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful experience! My 4 year old son had his eyes looked at today after mentioning difficulty seeing in one of his right eye. The staff could not have been any better with children. They were patient and made the experience fun and exciting. I was blown away at all the creative techniques used to do a examination with young children. My son will have no fear when returning for his next check up. Thank you kindly for taking such special care of us both!

Overall, my experience was quite positive. Everything seemed to go quite smoothly, and it seemed like there were no issues as I went through the process. I was especially happy with the people who helped me choose frames for my glasses, as they gave me recommendations, informed me of different lenses, and were overall very friendly and helpful.

The staffs here are friendly, and they can explain anything about your eyes with clear details. They will give advice and let you know something that you cannot do to prevent harming your eyes further.

Very unprofessional staff.unfortunately front desk.my doctor was great can’t remember her name but she is blond and skinny. My daughters doctor was alright, a bit cold and impatient. Now when it comes to staff working at the front desk make sure you are not dealing with Tar or whatever her name is! She is rude and unprofessional she likes to take personal issues out to work and that’s why I decided I’m not longer going to deal with her targeting me and my daughter constantly! She will interrupt other girls at front desk to “ educate me” on How things work! She likes to tell me different information every time and loves to patronize me. Today she took the cake! As a student and a mother, I work and study there for all my appointment for my daughter and my self are done in only two days a week. According to all her information that didn’t make any sense.they didn’t have the right person to help me for a training until almost 4 weeks from now. Granted it’s Xmas and we are all busy including me. She knows my husband well and she told me over the phone” that she gets it” The reason I don’t go in the days I’m at work “ it’s because “ I’m a single mother too so, I know”. I’m married and she knows this well as she told me “ I remember you, I was here last time “. Listen what I do or don’t do to further provide for my family is non of your business! I don’t need you to tell me I’m a single mom knowing I’m happily married. Also the fact that you want me to pay out of pocket for my daughter needs before you can check the coverage feels like you are targeting me! I feel pity for you and your sad life, but don’t take out on your customers at work. This behaviour is childish and unprofessional. I will not longer go to your company! Count on it my family, and all the other New Westminster friends I have will not be going there. Fact I’ll make sure FYI as a company understand that customer service, first impression and professionalism counts for 75% of a company’s profit.

I had my eyes tested knowing my script and lenses would be difficult. I'm also very picky with frames. Christine at the New Westminster location was patient, sweet and didn't make me feel like the picky jerk I can be. (Thank you Christine and remember Destiny 2!)

Now sadly my work requires vision to which I could no longer read so waiting for them is a pain. They said about 2 weeks (which is like anywhere else for eyes like mine). But.even though I was a difficult and painful customer, they understood and got mine within a week. All of the staff are great and I won't go anywhere else now.

5 stars and 2 thumbs up for this location.

PS frames are decently priced and you can find something you like within budget.

FYIdoctors - New Westminster provides topnotch customer service. Through my own fault, I broke my glasses. I went to FYIdoctors NW to get them fixed. I figured this repair would entail having the frames replaced. I knew that the warranty had passed by about 3 weeks so I was fully prepared to pay for the cost of repair. The FYIdoc Rep said not to worry about it since it was just outside of warranty. In about 3 days I got a call to let me know that the replacement frames were in. I went in and it only took about 15 minutes for the tech to swap the lenses into the new frames.
I highly recommend FYIdoctors. The New West division in particular.

Excellent care, excellent services, excellent referrals. And Jonathan and Cindy are terrific at picking out frames.

Was a long time customer up until the tried to get more money out of me by requesting more eye work that apparently has to be done even though it’s just a regular schedule check up, at 20$ extra for each of my kids (4 kids) when it’s not even mandatory anywhere else!? It’s ridiculous! And gave me no other options so now they lost 6 customers.

All the staff are so friendly. Dr. Liseann Head gave such a thorough eye exam, and gave me lots of info about different types of contact brands. Would definitely recommend to go here for a good environment and service!
