Garden City Cabs

We booked cab number GC 83 and he overcharged me. From airport to downtown, he charged me 45 dollars. But the flat rate is 37 dollars. He didn't give me printed receipt and he charged me using his phone. Im so disappointed with this service! Also, he was using his mobile phone while driving. Very idiot driver.

There was no meter in the taxi. Upon arrival at hotel, driver said his credit card machine was broken and wanted cash. We asked the hotel concierge, about the amount we were charged. She let us know that that Garden City Cab Driver had charged double, Vancouver law requires taxi’s to use a meter, and accept credit card payment.

Booked a ride online. The driver was on time and courteous. The ride was smooth and arrived at my destination on time. Great job!

I took a cab from YVR to North Van and ended up in a filthy, smelly vehicle with an equally filthy and smelly driver. Driver used his cell phone repeatedly while driving, never buckled up, then messed up the route guidance and displayed serious struggles to understand 'left' and 'right'. We somehow made it to Upper Delbrook and the car hardly made it up the hill, something in the motor had clearly gotten too hot. Stay away from Garden City Cabs!

This is the worst taxy service ever. Should not be in business. I call them to book a pick up and they said to wait 5-10minutes. I call them back after 10min and the clerk said to keep waiting that they were on the way, after 20 minutes I called again, they didnt wanted to answer my phone call, I stayed on the line for long time and left a message telling them that I had an Appointment in 20 minutes. And I have already wait for them 20 minutes. Left my phone number nobody call, I had to cancel my appointment with late charges that I have to pay now and left. They never show up after an 1 hour waiting and never call me back. This is the worst experience for me. I am new in Richmond, didnt now where to go. Very bad. No good customer service at all. I put one star but they dont deserved that. I will rather do -0. That’s it. -0 rate

This company and drivers are corrupted from the top to bottom. Don't want to tell my story here as plenty of reviewers already had and its just as bad as it can get, like others. What I want to share is when I complain to its Manager with the email provided on its website, the email was returned undelivered after several attempts across the week. This company is beyond help.

Take caution on boarding this company's cabs when lining up at YVR. Driver was very shady with billing. I've taken several cabs the past few months back home from YVR and it's always been 27 dollars. I questioned the driver and he says there was a recent surcharge from the airport and billed me 30. He had no credit card machine either and initially insisted I pay cash. Did not help me with my luggage either despite me paying 18% tip.

The driver kept insisting on cash payment even when I told him multiple times that I don't carry cash. Very irritating after a 5 hour flight back into Van.
