Had the most excellent customer service experience at this shop! Jeff was a rock star and saved me from bitter disappointment due to buyer's indecision (when will I learn.if I like it, buy it!). He went the extra mile to track down the item I wanted and I left the store a happy and devoted customer! Makes me sad I'm not a local, hundoP would shop here again, and I will the next time I'm in town.

GearHub Sports is where it’s at. We are on the East Coast of Canada and have ordered several ski gear items through them. They are detailed, quick-to-respond and customer focused. I ordered the wrong size ski jacket and they more than accommodated the return and shipped a new size right away - which they didn’t have to do. They are a humble, knowledgeable, cool local business to deal with.

Love GearHub! Especially for my binding needs. None of my local shops (Vancouver/Whistler) seem to have stock. Previous purchase was a Marker Griffin to fit a previously drilled ski; older stock. This time they seem to be one of the few around BC that had stock of the 2024 new Mwerks Kingpin! Great stock, highly responsive, quick shipping and good deals!

Mark, thanks so much for the tune-up/ enhancements your team did on my aging mountain bike. It now rides like a high end bike with all the bells and whistles, and for a fraction of the price of replacing it. I would have never thought to do the changes to the front and back cassettes, but the difference is huge; especially when climbing. I also appreciated how your team members communicated with me proactively with updates on the progress. You had everything in stock and it made the overhaul fast and efficient. Kudos to you and the excellent team at Gear Hub for the great service!

They helped me out with a warranty and submitted on my behalf in a timely fashion. Having done a lot of warranty replacement directly with companies in the past, it was awesome that they went above and beyond to help me.

Amazon place, mechanics are on standby and willing to help a guy out, front staff was on point. They even slap together my friends new brakes last minute. Super impressed with the professionalism and extremely easy to deal with. The rental fleet is pretty sweet! No compromise!

Edit update on previous review. After being disappointed on my order getting cancelled and not getting proper information from calling the store, gear hub online sales team contacted me via email and has explained why it was cancelled and gave me another item at same price i paid for. Kudos to their online sales team for doing their best to keep their customers happy. Thank you for going the extra mile I greatly appreciate it.

Couldn't find the exact bike I wanted locally and was fortunate to find it at Gearhub Sports. I ordered online and also talked to a couple real nice folks who work there on the phone. Super helpful, made my purchase an easy decision. Will buy gear from them in the future and highly recommend them to anyone.

The people here have a ton of knowledge and expertise, and in my experience don't charge you for minor stuff. Always happy to help you out.

Delta accidentally checked our ski bag to Atlanta Georgia, had a lot of gear in it. I told the baggage claims clerk at the Calgary airport to please hurry that we we were skiing Fernie the next day. Delta tried but could not get the bag to us in time so we drove to town and found Gear Hub, Wow, what a store, everything you would need. They knew we were in a rush and literally helped us cobble together the missing items, the rental guys quickly sized us up, and provided skis and boots, they helped us with long johns, jackets, pants, even a neck warmer. Great customer service both via phone and email, quite prompt response.
I'm in London and I was a bit afraid that ordering from Canada was gonna be an issue but everything went really smoothly. The delivery/tracking service is optimal.
Not sure about the rest of their products, but I was able to find a specific pair of shoes that I couldn't find anywhere else in my size.which is quite great. The pack arrived intact, also with a handwritten thank you note inside.

20-Sept-2020. Out trail riding today & broke a back wheel spoke & wheel was catty-whompus. New spoke and wheel trued in less than 3 hrs on a busy late Sept weekend. Back on the trails tomorrow, THANKS Bike Techs at Gear Hub, for getting me in and back out on the trails! CHEERS

19-July-2021. Broke another back wheel Spoke. Bike in for a suspension & brake service & new spoke, 3 day turn around. Reasonable for a mid summer service.

Great place for all your gear needs! Truly lives up to the name, if you catch them in the off season you can get good deals on just about anything. Staff are super knowledgeable and I like how they support youth employment. One of my first jobs as a teenager was at a sports store and it teaches young kids good life skills and helps out the community. Gear hub is an awesome shop to stop!

GearHub has such a friendly staff and they're always really helpful. I walked in with a bike problem and they fixed it right there on the spot. The bike issue seemed pretty big to me but they had it done right away and I was on my way!

The bike I ordered had a flat rear tire when it arrived and wouldn't hold air, so I got in contact with the sales and technical teams and they sent out a better-quality replacement tube almost immediately. It was a great customer service experience and I would definitely recommend ordering from Gear Hub.

When we first moved to the Fernie area I was not remotely knowledgable in bikes. I used to think the most expensive bike at walmart or canadian tire was the best bike and those "bike shops" were just gouging peopl. Then my wife and I went into the Gear Hub. We were greeted by the owner Mark. I explained my knowledge of bikes and what we were looking for. In a short time he explained a lot of information to us, let us test ride a few bikes, and i soon learned the value of a good quality bike! Before even knowing our budget, they showed us budget friendly bikes and the most expensive bikes in store. No other place we went to did that, they went right to a $5000 bike and kind of snubbed us when we said we were looking for a much cheaper option. I will forever be grateful for the respect and patience the staff at Gear Hub has for customers. It's the only place we shop in Fernie and will be for years to come. Thanks for another great purchase today!

The Gear Hub is the best. After about six years of asking boot fitters in other stores to help me with pain in my ski boots and being told "buy new boots, " the Gear Hub fixed my problem in about 10 minutes. I only wish I had thought to visit them sooner! The staff are super friendly, helpful, honest and knowledgable. I highly recommend this place if you need good consignment, help with your ski boots, tuneups or new gear. 10/10.

These guys helped me out last June when I was riding the TD and my rear hub assembly exploded on me. Managed to limp in to Fernie, and despite the mad rush of TD riders coming through, I found these guys couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, whilst also trying to service and help out their local and non-TD customers. Thanks to the great technician who managed to get 4 of my 6 pawls working again, I continued the ride all the way to the Mexico border. The only ski shop in BC and Alberta to have the boots I was looking for. Trust me I called everywhere. When I finally got ahold of JC at gear hub sports, I had them at my front door the next day. They went above and beyond to get ahold of a freight company to do overnight shipping so I could keep my ski plans. Unreal crew

I wished I lived closed by, it would be my local shop. I ordered from them a pair of Flylow pants as I do no have any stores that sell them locally. I had a few question and always was replied fast by e-mail. Very knowledgeable and fast shipping. Very happy. Thank you.
