Cute little place but the breakfast scramble eggs and potatoes is a little bland. I wish there was at least some salt and pepper to enhance the flavour just a little. If you like food with no salt and a bit bland, this might be a good choice.

A fantastic local bakery! A good mix of the usual bakery items (cookies, croissant etc) mixed with some authentic German delights! Both my cinnamon roll and a mocha were excellent, couldn't stop myself. Looked to be a great selection of wraps and hot breakfast / lunch items so I'll definitely be back to try more.

Great service, excellent establishment. Highly recommended.

UPDATE: We contacted the German corner bakery about making an appetizer and dessert for our wedding and couldn't have been happier with the result! They went above and beyond and made 100 of the best pretzels and liege waffles I've ever had! I don't know if the liege waffles are even on the menu so I am so happy and grateful for their help. Honestly, I might order another 100 next time just for me everything was so tasty.

I can't speak more highly of the service, quality and great price for everything that was delivered. The German corner bakery is a hidden gem on the coast and somewhere you should definitely check out!

Everything was delicious. My husband said the breakfast wrap was amazing. We walked over easily from our hotel and enjoyed the beach view while we ate.

Delightful hidden gem on the shore! An amazing view while you sip a delicious mocha and enjoy their many treats. Don't miss the cinnamon buns! And be sure to hit up the staff for engaging conversation.

March 2023 - we are beyond delighted to have discovered this gem of a bakery! The latte was hot and strong (sure woke me up!). The owners, Jenn and Carola, were so fun and friendly.
We tried a variety of their fresh gluten free cookies and date bar.they were so delicious. As a person with celiac disease, my husband really appreciated being able to enjoy baked goods. I had their breakfast crepe and cookies n cream donut, which were exactly what I was looking for!
We look forward to visiting the Sunshine Coast again and will be adding this bakery to our go-to itinerary!

We were a little underwhelmed by service and quality of food, worst thing was though, we asked for gluten free, assured soup was gf, then we were very unwell for the rest of the evening! Very important that if you say it’s gf safe, then it is!

A touch pricey but you're paying for quality so it's worth it. Great service, excellent establishment. Highly recommended.

Posting a review on my last few experiences with this lovely Bakery: I have Celiac and have NEVER been glutened here. It's a real treat to have you guys here on the Coast. While there is a few places on the Coast that are generally safe to eat, you lovely ladies have created a safe environment in a separate room. It is greatly appreciated! Thank you! So far I have tried the muffins, lemon loaf, date square, and cheese cake. All were moist, not overly sweet, and delicious.

Update: Been going for a few months now and I’m still enjoying everything I’ve tried. The GF Black Forest cake is incredible! Cranberry and White Chocolate cookies are perfect as well!

I’ve also seen their catering and heard great feedback. Highly recommend these ladies!

This place is great! I ordered the breakfast wrap and one of the owners told me they were out of potatoes but that they'd go buy some and that it'd only take a few minutes if that was ok. I wasn't in a rush so I was okay with waiting. I swear I think I saw one of them fly to the store? ! I felt the ground shake as they took off just to accommodate me on my wait. I waited maybe around 7 minutes and they were back, wrap made, and at great quality too, I would have taken a picture, but I ate it almost immediately since it was so good. I'm definitely coming back here and I'll make sure to tell all my friends about it too.

This German Bistro makes everything from scratch in the back and it's all traditional fair. I really enjoy the Raspberry Roll and the Alex Cake.

This is a wonderful bakery, excellent assortment of german sweets, just like my Oma used to make, and quality take-home breads.

I can't speak to the food or drink, as my wife and I were essentially shuffled out the door after inquiring about the possibility of a breakfast plate; the only response was "breakfast. " Rude staff, closing up an hour early generally leads to an early failure of business.

A little leniency would have led to 50 or 75 worth of purchases; alas it seems the staff was more interested in getting out than helping out.

Very little German about the place from what I could see.

Edit - despite the owners response, no such offer of an accommodation was made. As far as how German the place is (again), I'm German myself and *saw* very little German about the place. P. S. - never said we felt "not loved".

Quite disappointed with our visit here. Service was lackluster, almost forced, and lacked any warmth, pleasantries, explanations or follow up.
We asked for cinnamon buns and the best the clerk (sorry we couldnt tell if they were male, or female) could do was just point at them. We ordered one and there was no follow up on if they had the ability to add icing on it or if it could be warmed up. Look how dry it looks in the picture.
We asked about the other offerings and ended ordering some German Quark cake, which wasnt exactly a good breakfast item choice so we decided to take that to go and get a croissant instead. Should one not be offered butter with that, especially in a small coffee shop setting. Cup sizes were smaller too.
Another couple walked in and we observed them getting a similar style of service, where they asked for input on a certain product and all they got was a "its right there" point and show attitude with no "tell" about the product.
Staff were more interested in going back to the back to commiserate with their back staff then to be present at front counter or to walk around and see if anyone wanted anything. Some of the cutlery was dirty too with no disposable alternatives to use.
Hesitant to return again. The German cake we took for 'to go' was just OK, not too sweet, but dry and chalky, couldnt eat more than a few bites and feel the need for a liquid to wash it down.

Not so much.
Was an odd experience ordering and enquiring about your baked goods.
I thought when someone asks about a particular item and to have a pointed finger "It's there". Doesn't cut it.
The coffee was basic and not a large i ordered, just a mug, no explanation.
The cinnamon bun was dry and had no icing. Not a sweet treat to enjoy with coffee. I would not return here or recommend.

Real Authentic German food. They cover everything from breakfast, to lunch, desserts, baking goods, ice cream. Super yummy

The slice of cake was really tiny and way overpriced. Drinks were adequate with the limited sizes. I didn't appreciate the person serving us using their bare hands to grab our food and putting it in the bag. The croisants and cinnamon raisin bread were good. Croisaants were nice and buttery.

Response to owner: I do have the right place and maybe it wasn't cinnamon raisin bread but just raisin bread but myself and my two kids both watched as our items were grabbed with bare hands so your comment on that it is always done with paper, tongs etc is incorrect. The slice of cake was very small and the whole household was astonished at it.

Great bakery in an amazing location of the Coast! Ocean views while you enjoy any of their fresh baked goods. The bread is amazing (try the rye loaf!) and the staff are very lovely. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to grab a treat or a full German inspired lunch.:)

The sour dough bread was dry and hard. I am wondering if it was day or two old. Considering what we paid which was more then an other artisan bakery on the coast it was disappointing. Other deserts were fine but really small portions to much higher price point. Will not go back which is unfortunate as i live in the area and would have been a frequent customer.

Stopped by this morning on our drive into Gibsons for a coffee and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! Lovely space, and the coffee was great as well. We’ll be sure to come back and try the pastries some time!

They do get points for trying.

I went twice yesterday. First time had a hot dog and a latte. Would be nice to have the bun toasted as the only thing just warm was the hot dog. I had it with sauerkraut and raw onion.

It would also be nice to see some traditional German items on the menu board.

The latte was in a coffee mug more sizes would be nice.

Later in the afternoon I picked up some bread and 3 of the pastries. While the pastries were good they are not very German. The rye bread was good.

Service wise the team needs training but I’m sure they’ll work it out.

What an awesome addition to the community. Best of luck.

Love the bistro. We were going on a boat tour and leaving pretty early in the morning so we got sandwiches and salads from the bistro to go. Best picnic lunch so delicious! Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend stopping by.
