If you are looking for Gymnastics training this is your guy. Although I came to learn new skills I also ended up fixing a lot of bad habits that caused me having lower back pain. His knowledge and experience go far beyond the average gym trainer, and he really cares about your progress. Worths every penny!

This man is a great teacher and coach. I wasn’t too sure what to expect with our first session, but after coming out of it I have a lot of clarity where I can improve. Maxim kept things simple and guided me very well through some exercises. I have a lot of confidence that if you’re looking for a coach in gymnastic he’s the man.

Maxim is an expert teacher! My handstands have progressed a lot working with him. Even though our sessions are all video calls, he is great at spotting and fixing incorrect form. If you are hesitant to train over the phone, it's still worth trying out.

Maxim is a fantastic trainer with a high degree of body mechanics/gymnastics knowledge. He is personable, patient, and subtly funny. In our 1 on 1 sessions he can pinpoint exactly what I am doing wrong and why I’m doing it and then help me understand what I need to do to improve and execute movements properly. Amazing guy!

I’ve recently started seeing Maxim for personal training. Amongst the various classes I’ve taken and trainers I’ve met, Maxim is a singularly bright spot. Not only is he patient and kind but he is effective. Rather than emphasizing reps or speed, he focuses on form. For the first time in my life i’ve learned how to squat correctly, how to do a push up, etc. What’s more, Maxim has taught me how to walk, sit, and carry my body. He understands the body and explains things in a way that make it easy to understand. Using simple techniques I’ve significantly reduced the strain on my back in my day-to-day activities. I would recommend anyone take a class with him regardless of age or ability. There is really no one quite like him. He will fundamentally change how you think about your body and move your body. I can’t recommend him enough.

My experience from multiple years with Maxim is quite positive. He offers customised body-weight, equipment-less workouts towards a person’s goals where a person distinctly feels increase in strength of the relevant muscle groups.

I have never been one to enjoy working out or going to the gym, but as I'm getting older I'm realizing that fitness is not just about looking good, but it's also about structuring your body for success. After years of trainers and fitness programs, it's great to finally meet someone who cuts straight to the point and is helping me through my past injuries and getting me to a better place physically. He is methodical and he is tough, it's challenging but it's very rewarding. Maxim knows his stuff, and the combination of his experience, his demeanor and his humor made the workout truly enjoyable. Highly recommend!

I tried the wirtual workshop on Handstands with Maxim. He explained the mechanics of handstands, how to train it correctly - detailed, with no rush. Even in online mode, we practiced, and Maxim managed to give tips to each participant individually. In a couple of weeks of repeating the daily routine my progress was greater than after a long time trying it on my own. I wish I could have Maxim's classes in person! Greets from Austria, Denis

Speaking from someone that had personal trainers in more than 5 different gyms in Vancouver, Maxim is hands down the best trainer I have had so far. Max’s compassion combined with his technical and theoretical knowledge showed me the path I needed to become a better a better equestrian. Max always listens closely to my problems and explains how to solve them in details. You know you found the found the right trainer when even your other coaches are noticing improvements!

Maxim is a great trainer. With some time and effort your mind and body will change as you work with him. The changes are in strength, of course, but also stamina, flexibility, balance and posture. Highly recommend.

Maxim is awesome. He has an incredible experience base and incredible knowledge base and is a great teacher. He has gone through and dissected the most efficient and effective ways to train. He has a great background in physiology and computer scrience/ engineering and neuroscience and cognitive science that he brings to gymnastics. You will learn the art of longevity through training with him as well as neuroplasticity that you will be able to apply to other life areas. I am learning handstand and can’t believe the progress I have made.

I can't say enough good things about Maxim's approach to training. I have no background in gymnastics, but he works with my skills and abilities and makes me work hard. My flexibility and core strength have improved significantly since starting my training, and most importantly - I'm very close to achieving the handstand, which was my personal goal!

I am very impressed with Maxim's attention to detail and how he has me focusing on strengthening my core. In the 2 months I have been training with Maxim I have seen an improvement in my strength & flexibility. I am doing exercises that I would never even though possible. I have thrown out my lower back many times and Maxim is very good at modifying the exercises to ensure I do not injure myself while I build up my muscles to prevent future injuries. His gymnastics background adds an element of fun to the exercises as I have not tried to flip myself upside down since I was a kid. I found it challenging and fun! I highly recommend Maxim and enjoy my twice weekly training sessions with him.

Maxim isn't your standard personal trainer - he has created a style of training which intertwines his background in gymnastics which makes it extremely challenging yet fun and rewarding! I feel particularly accomplished after completely his training session and surprised what I can push my body to do. Working at the same gym as Maxim has benefiting me to see him working with his clients. As a sports performance specialist I always realized that he is a trainer that owns talent and skills that you can not find anywhere due his unique coaching style and physical conditioning.
Now, working with him as student/client I can have the whole experience and to understand that he is not just a very knowledgeable professional but the passion he has while coaching is something that inspires you and makes you want to keep improving.

My wife and I both train with Maxim. To say he is different than other trainers I have worked with is an understatement. His gymnastics background and knowledge of how the human body works allows Maxim to develop routines that are anything but routine. He challenges you to push past limitations in order to see big improvements. He is also very careful to challenge his clients while respecting whatever limitations or past injuries they may have. He is also an engaging and fun person to train with. I would highly recommend Maxim!

I've done a variety of exercises before discovering Maxim, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/wrestling/judo, ice hockey, weight training, etc. I've never done many of the exercises that Maxim has shown me, and these exercises are helping me tremendously in all my other activities as well. He has good theoretical knowledge to make sure chances of injuries are minimized and to maximize optimal performance. I strongly recommend him to anyone at any level. He can cater to anyone's needs with his step-by-step approach to bringing anyone up to speed.

As a personal trainer, Maxim is highly analytical and methodical in his guidance given his client's goals. On top of that, he is incredibly patient, down-to-earth, reliable, and easy to talk to. Definitely top-notch!

Given my own goal of developing a gymnast's foundation for body awareness and technique, he takes the time to assess my current abilities and devises workouts that challenge me safely and progressively every session. He personalizes the workouts effectively and takes the time to explain why and how each exercise is done, manages your expectations, and even provides guidance on how to approach workouts outside of the sessions with him so you can keep at it.

He is very passionate about what he does and is highly knowledgeable in his field so working with him is always fun and educational. He will help set you up for success whatever your goal is.

Maxim is an excellent trainer! During our sessions he methodically focuses on the building the strength and technique I need to achieve gymnastics based goals (handstands, planches, presses). All our sessions have been unique and challenging.which keeps me focused and motivated. Majority of the exercises use body weight (no weights) which makes it easy to incorporate into my other workout days.

Maxim definitely knows what he’s talking about! I did a handstand session with him and he was down to earth, breaking it down into understandable and achievable elements. Easy to see that he’s passionate about helping you reach your goals. Despite his physique and abilities, he was not intimidating at all! Highly recommend working with him if you have any gymnastic fitness goals!

I had a session with Maxim to assess my current flexibility and handstand routine. He gave me some excellent tips on ways to improve these two areas of my gymnastics strength training. He is very experienced and knowledgable not only in the skills, but also the science behind them. He had a good sense of humour and made me feel comfortable right away. I'll definitely be returning for more guidance.

As someone who practices and teaches handstands, I was curious to learn from Maxim and see how he teaches handstands. He provided me with a great shoulder warmup that I look forward to trying in order to prevent injury. He also gave me some great strength exercises, some alternate ideas as to how to teach handstands and additionally, some great ideas for how to progress in my OAH.a VERY worthwhile session!

I train privately with Maxim and he is awesome, the gymnastics approach is far beyond what you will find with normal trainers because it targets different functionalities in your body in a way that regular weights etc.can't. A lot of the exercises are bodyweight based so they are very low impact and an extra bonus is that there is an endless supply of variations for customizing! Would never go back to the regular approach.

Maxim does a great job instructing, coaching, and teaching a class that oftentimes contains people of different athletic levels. The group itself may work on the same exercise, but Maxim goes out of his way to adjust the exercise so that everybody is challenged at their own level. Not every coach can do this, and this can get either boring or super frustrating for individual athletes. However, Maxim's energy levels are consistently high and his knowledge of the sport and enthusiasm make for a great class.
