Giancarlo Italian Deli

I have shopped at the deli many times, but on Friday I was appalled at the service that I got. The two staff members were so rude and didn’t pay attention to anyone else in the store. Both of them were busy making sandwiches and didn’t acknowledge anyone else. There were a few of us who just wanted to buy some stuff And go and they gave us snarky replies. It was disgusting, I would never go back. Also what happened with all the stock? I know they keep on saying with stuff happening in Europe it is ruining their supply? I Don’t really get that as I’ve been to other Italian delis, and they seem to manage to maintain their stock.

The small charcuterie box I ordered was fabulous! It was a very small get together for 3 girlfriends and the box was loaded! Highly recommend! Thank you Giancarlo! Merry Christmas

Best Deli ever lovely staff family friends our neighborhood grew up with i go evertime possible just for the conversation coffee espresso & pasta. Gnocchi lasagne <3 delicious <3 Thank you all HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALLLL.

I bought a few subs here today, the ladies were nice, the subs were good. I like that they toss in a few olives with the sandwiches. Grazie mille!

I've gone into this place twice and the food is good. Service not so much, super rude not going back.

My lord I just had the best sandwich I've had in years. The Giancarlo Mix was filled with high quality meats, accompanied by a soft yet firm crusted ciabatta bun. The staff were so kind and passionate about the food and I'd love to be able to eat every lunch there. Don't hesitate to try them out!

Disrespectful and rude. It's all in the way you say things. We went in at about 4: 10 p.m. (hours showed closing at 5: 00 p.m.) on Friday afternoon to order a couple of sandwiches indicating it was our first time there (this obviously didn't matter). The first staff member looked at the second (almost rolling her eyes) with the second snarkily responding "we're done with sandwiches for the day". The way it was said and with the attitude presented, we were completely taken back by the disdain.
We turned around letting them know this isn't the way to treat a new customer and told them we would be going to Soup Plus on the corner across the road (which was awesome by the way).
Stop serving sandwiches at a specific time? No problem. Run out of bread for the day, also no problem.
Appreciate the fact a new customer came in to begin with (and treat people nicely and respectfully) and hey, they may come back at some point. We won't be returning.
As a customer, should you wish to patron a store that treats you badly, go for it. On the other hand, avoid the above altogether and try out Soup Plus, owner was awesome (and quite the character) serving some incredibly awesome sandwiches!

Ignore the bad reviews, usually just people mad they didn't show up early enough to get a sandwich before they sold out of bread.

Went in to get a sandwich an hour before closing. They snapped at me rudely that they have none left.

These people have no manners. Don’t go here. They should shut down and find a job that does not involve people.

Best sub you can find. Fresh bread simple let, tom mustard with a ton of meat. Always friendly and great food. Awesome lil spot! Often out of bread. Bit of a bummer has happened about 1/3 of the times. Hence no sub. If not for the frequent bread fail its an easy 5 star

Just started coming here after living in the area for 2 years. Quality is great and prices are very reasonable. Good quality, I enjoy a variety of their deli items such as cheeses and meats.

Very quaint shop. They have excellent prices as well. We bought some mozzerella and pasta sauce, mama mia, the pasta sauce was fantastic on our homemade pizza. Will absolutely be going back to try some other things, they have cold freezers of items, a deli, sandwiches and drinks. Not to mention the staff was very helpful as well.

Nice selection of imported European foods. Bought fresh pasta, cold cuts, bread, and cheese and everything was high quality. Looking forward to going again when they're able to bring in more canned and jarred items, as I understand they have had some issues with COVID and sourcing products from Italy.

Very bad customer service. I arrived at 4: 40 and I ask the lady by the Deli if I can get ham and cheese and she said sorry we are done for the day. Seriously?

Love this little deli. The staff are friendly and helpful. The take away sandwiches are so good and the coffee is amazing! I always buy the frozen lasagna cause its made with pride and love and you can tell. This is one of those Ma and Pop shops that we should always support!

Would be 5 stars as the price and quality of the products available is great, but they have a one or two staff who give off that "hurry up" kinda vibe that makes you feel like they wish they had no customers bothering them.

Other staff however always smiling and happy to serve, would do a 4.5 review if I could

Absolutely the rudest staff I have encountered. The way I heard them talk to customers was shocking and then mock them after they left was disgusting. I heard from many people but seeing it first hand will now make me go to another deli from now on.

Robert, Silvia and their staff are friendly and they know Italian food. Highly recommend shopping here.

Amazing customer service for one. Everyone there is so friendly. And the best part is the food. Great made to order sanwiches and they’re very generous with the toppings. Plus some great homemade sausages, awesome deli meats. Everything is super fresh. Love this place
