Just got my new XC race bike and really enjoyed the service. Travis really helped me well and was patient as I weighed many bikes many times and asked tons of questions. Also the service technician was really helpful and its nice to discuss loads of options with someone who is really interested.

Bought my first gravel bike at the store in late August, was really impressed with the store staff; they took the time to walk me through what to expect with tubeless tires, maintenance expectations, and most importantly, felt that they sold me the right bike for my size and needs.

Felt very much like a priority to them. Kudos to Travis who helped with all of the explanations for me:)

We were very impressed with the service at Giant Vancouver. We have owned many Giant bikes over the years but never purchased through this shop. The whole process was seamless, staff were friendly and knowledgeable. One of the mechanics even helped to load our new 85lb Pakyak cargo bike into our truck. I would recommend this shop for anyone looking to get a Giant/Momentum.

The first time I visited Giant Vancouver, I got stellar service from super friendly Jeff (?) the Nova Scotian. This time, got served by Jonny. Man! Did he ever go out of his way to help me out with finding the component and service my bike needed. Makes me want to get my next bike from them.)

We bought our daughters' LIV bikes from Giant on West 4th Avenue. We bought two Enchant 20 Lite. Overall, the experience has been terrible and I went here two times. I wasn't going to write a review after the first time, but the second time, I needed to.

1. Firstly, when we first got our bikes, the bikes were not tuned properly and the mechanic was not very helpful. The brakes were either very tight or very loose and they were unable to make it to the right tension. Also the shifters were not able to go down to the lowest gear. Pretty much, they told me these bikes are not very good quality and it is what it is. We bought the Trek Precaliber 12 before but my girls wanted the purple color so that's why we went with the Enchant 20 Lite. Frustrated with the service, I brought it to another bike mechanic and it's working fine.

2. Yesterday, one of my daughter's wheel popped and since we were in the area, I was wondering if I can borrow some tools. In their defence, it was 4: 55pm and they close at 5: 00pm. So we were stranded outside and the Giant employee pretty much told me that they are closed now. The mechanic will not be happy since this job will take more than 5 mins and reiterated that they are closed. Asked me to go to Comor sports and ask for help. I was truly disappointed. There was no empathy or helpfulness. Luckily, Comor sports helped us and I didn't need to ask my family member to pick us up with a van. Tennessee, did mention in the past about how they will improve their service but if you read the comments, they are all talk and no action or consequences.

Hi XXXXX, thank you for bringing this to our attention and my apologies about your experience. I am truly disappointed that this is the serviced you received upon your last visit.

We do have bolts, we would be happy to get them quickly for you, whatever time of day it is, and we do currently service bikes purchased at different Giant stores. I apologize this is not the information you were provided. We have had this discussion with our staff this morning and I will continue to monitor this situation in the hopes of rectifying this for you, and any other customer who needs our assistance in the future.

Please feel free to contact me should you need anything, or have any questions. My apologies again.

Tennesse

In conclusion or take home message,
1. If you want a better kids bike, buy the TREK Pre-caliber bike. Better than the Elite.
2. Most of their low review ratings responses doesn 't provide solutions. They just say they will change their policies but that doesn't happen. I believe it's the culture of the business
3. I do believe their road bikes are the best value and when it's on sale it's a good deal. But the service is so horrible.

It's definitely a store that's geared toward a more well to do clientele, but they're still bike lovers and it shows. Got excellent service on my bike wheel from Jason and the person who greeted me at the door was very helpful as well. Would recommend.

My 20-year-old Giant mountain bike was virtually indestructible, but it was time for something new. Staff are great here, always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and willing to fix any issues on the spot. I'm a loyal Giant fan.

Very kind staff. I had a smooth experience buying a new bike and didn't feel rushed or hustled. They also went above and beyond on a couple maintenance items for me. Highly recommended

My tire went flat on a ride. Luckily I was able to bring it in and get it looked at and fixed the following day, which was a plus.
Unfortunately, I was only able to ride it a short distance as I noticed the air I filled, it went flat again.
It's not that they're horrible, it's just an inconvenience when you need your bike and you're out of town a lot.
Hopefully they can check it before sending it off to the customer? ! Please & thanks!

Cam and the team are the best bike technicians in Vancouver. Highly recommend they provide a friendly fast service. Thank you for being great!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I went into the Giant store this past Saturday after falling off of my Liv bike, and damaging a part of it that rendered it unrideable.

I was worried that they'd tell me that they couldn't fix it then because I didn't have an appointment, but Josh one of Giant's mechanics, was beyond (BEYOND) helpful.

I don't have tons of knowledge about bike mechanics, so I really appreciated him patiently taking the time to explain the damage, what needed to be done to fixed, and being so nice about it.

Every interaction I've had with anyone at Giant and/or Liv Vancouver is always top notch so I (and my husband) will absolutely continue to shop, and take our bikes for maintenance or repair to Giant/Liv.

Thank you guys!: D

Mechanics are knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help you out and offer advice on any of your bike servicing needs!

Worst customer service experience I've ever had.

But every single experience I've had with the service department has been horrendous. It's actually hard to believe just how bad they are.
The service guys are rude, unfriendly, and give off a vibe that they just want you to go away. They're tone of voice is passive aggressive and hostile. As an avid cyclist I'd say
you should avoid the giant ecosystem all together.

The sell seemed very friendly until the purchase was made. No bike fitting just here you go. I now deal with a store that sells other brands as well as Giant and the comparison is striking!
I stopped getting tuneups etc done here as it seemed to be a hassle for them.

Edit: Tennessee from Giant Vancouver contacted me and resolved my issue. Thank you.

I contacted Sean their mechanic to get work done on my bike. I emailed with a detailed list of things I needed to get done and asked for a quote. I agreed on the price and brought my bike in to do the work. After all was done, they charged me extra for work that was not on the quote. I asked them to reconsider but they refused to do anything about it. I felt they were DISHONEST and UNPROFESSIONAL.

Great experience at the store. Staff are friendly, especially Lindsay who helped me pick the right bike. I was able to do two test rides on two different bikes. Another staff member also greatly helped me the next day during pickup (didn’t ask his name). The only thing I wish they mentioned is the giveaway on the website, about which I found out only by chance. Attaching a photo of my new bike on my first ride in the wild:)

Well after having a wonderful knowledgeable conversation with the Irish Sean about some work on my bike with quotes on price for parts and installation. He asked me to come by so they could order the right part and set up an appointment for the work.
So, went to your shop, explained what I needed and tried to order the part. The mechanic reluctantly finally sort of looked at it. When I asked about the two different models of brake Sean had recommended he just muttered something about liability and walked away. The kind woman at the front apologized and wrote down for me one of the parts Sean had suggested.
I must admit this has been the most astonishing way to treat a customer who in good faith trusted the Sean who seemed way more knowledgeable than the mechanic.
Lesson learned.

Edit: follow up visit went smooth and issue free. Appreciate the store reaching out and creating a better experience and ensuring the bike itself was in proper working order. Thank you to Tennessee for reaching out and the team at giant van for making me feel more comfortable about my purchase.

I do not recommend this store! I recently purchased my first ever road bike in excitement from this location. I have visited many stores prior to making my purchase and they all were incredibly helpful and passionate about getting me into the sport, unfortunately I decided to buy from Giant Vancouver because they had stock. My initial interaction was fine however when I went back to pickup it seems like they didn't care because I took advantage of giants payment plans and was an online order. I had to remind them about receiving 10% off accessories and they set my saddle height and they sent me off. It wasn't until two days later on a ride out to UBC that a passerby informed me that my tires were low. I purchased a floor pump and my pressures were down to about 30psi. I pumped the tires to the recommended 85psi and it has held for a week so i knew it wasn't a puncture. Although tire pressure is a small issue, it has made question that nothing on the bike was checked before selling it and releasing it which has made me second guess my bike, the store and the brand.
They say when you buy the bike you're buying the store, and with that I wish I waited for other stores to get stock and bought elsewhere. Which I would recommend you do as well.

Fantastic experience at the Vancouver Liv store. I was greeted by Lindsay right away and, because I called ahead of time, she already has both sizes of the bike ready for me to try.

Lindsay and Tennessee are very helpful and patient with me as I asked my 600 questions. After going to multiple bike shops in the same area, I found Liv to have the most competitive prices. AND I don’t have to swap out any of the components. I’m 5’2 and usually need a shorter stem, different saddle, and shorter crank arms when I buy unisex bikes. I need none of that with my Liv bike. It’s a perfect fit right out of the shop.

Needless to say, I very much appreciate Lindsay and Tennessee for making my bike hunting experience so smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t had a lot of luck finding suitable bikes to pay Vancouver Giant/Liv a visit.
