Gingeri Chinese Cuisine

Been years since we last dined at Gingeri in Lansdowne. We were in the area in January so decided to try them out again.

First off, the chiu chow style dumplings were good. They were stuffed with plentiful filling and had a soft and translucent skin.

The beef rice roll was ok but thought the rice roll was a bit too thick.

The deep fried crab claw with shrimp paste were pretty tiny and served with a sweet and tangy dipping sauce. Nice that you can get it outside of a banquet meal.

The steamed mini sticky rice was ok.nothing great or bad.just standard.

We did like the book tripe (beef omasum) in green onion and ginger sauce. Big portion and tender.

Ended with the baked tapioca pudding with taro. This wasn't that great. The texture was off and didn't have a crispy cookie top and the taro was large pieces as opposed to being mashed.

Convenient location. Food is ok except the pan fried chicken with sticky rice. That one was good

Have been here many time before and has been decent. But last night we ordered the Peking duck, the duck was dry and definetly had been sitting a while and reheated. Also found a bug in the wrap.

I wouldn’t say it’s particularly delicious or unpleasant, but I guarantee it won’t be a surprise. The taste of classic Hong Kong dim sum. I ordered a sausage roll but it was not as expected.it was a little expensive.

Worst service I’ve ever received and they DEMAND a tip. Sorry but atrocious service does not deserve one. Takes forever to wave down a server and they ignore u when u talk to them. Avoid at all costs.

I really sure this is the worst Chinese restaurant in Vancouver especially their ATTITUDE, no one care about you, no one willing to take the order, missing order without any apology, no one willing to refill the tea pot, quality of food is below average. Never come back again!

It is a Cantonese-style restaurant. It is very suitable for ordering dishes and dining together as a family. The food is quite delicious. It can be regarded as authentic Cantonese cuisine.

Food was good for dinner, but the head waiter has a serious attitude problem. Felt like we didn't get proper service because we ordered from the cheaper set menu.

The food is impeccable. Period. More importantly, the high ceiling and the partitioning between tables make it an ideal dining place under the pandemic circumstances.

Excellent Chinese restaurant, they serve good portions and the flavors will always surprise you. I give 5 stars because there are no 6

Don’t go here if you want good service and good food.

Food was mediocre at best and the servers did not attend to us at all. Food took forever and we were not given simple items such as wet napkins, refill or tea and water or taking finished dishes away.

Will not be coming here again.

Horrible service, even for standards in Richmond (expected). King Crab meal was mediocre for $600+. Take your business literally anywhere else for better service and taste in Richmond.

Neighbors from Macau took us there. Crab was great, goose feet is definitely an acquired taste. Good cultural experience. Not sure why hockey was on the tv?

Reasonable quality for dim sum and noodle dishes. Dinner dishes’ qualify and cooking can be iffy.

Like most restaurants during this era of Post-Covid19, the quality of food has been steadily going downhill. My fam and I started coming here a year or 2 before Covid-19, and it was pretty decent then, but that all soon changed because a few months into 2022 the food became quite unappetizing what with all the shortcuts they've been taking from the excessive use of MSG to the super bland Dim Sum dishes. I thought if I gave this place enough chances they would go back to the quality of food they used to have, but as they say 3 strikes and you're out!

Food quality decent but 100% dislike restaurant staff put 20% tips when elderly mentioned he has eyes issue from seeing clearly.

Nothing seems any good, food taste is below average compared even to food court. Maybe we went during the Lunar new year eve as it's very busy, yet a good restaurant would do their best to keep up with their standards if it's good standard, obviously not this one.
