Ginkgo Chinese Food

She was so rude. Wouldn't let me add anything to my meal even though I was willing to pay. I left and will never go back.

I don’t know how this place exists. Disgusting! Chow mein is definitely served reheated the few times we’ve ordered out…overall just low quality food. The lady working at the counter is nasty with every person I’ve seen her interact with including my wife. Won’t be supporting this place anymore!

The lady with the glasses is very very rude. Doesn't get up, watches her video. I had to slap the counter to get her to look at me. My order was sitting right there. Please let her go her skills must lie in another area.

They gave me no sweet and sour sauce with pork and they didn't give me my bloody rice they replaced with just pork I have no idea how

So disappointing

Ordered Ginger beef, chicken chow Mein, chicken balls, wontons and chicken fried rice and all were very dry and disappointing.

Ginger beef - dry, not saucy, no flavour
Chow mein - a few carrot strands and a couple pieces of chicken but noodles were hard and dried out mixed in with ok dry noodles
Chicken fried rice - dry, just tasted like soy sauce, a lot of soy sauce
Wontons - extra crispy and dry
Chicken balls - dry again, no sweet and sour sauce included

Overall everything tasted like it sat under a buffet lamp for 2 days.

Made a mistake on our order. We were suppose to get fried prawns but got fried chicken. Food was good but too much Soy sauce in war wonton soup and Beef and Broccoli. Should just let us put our own soy sauce in it. Not too much veggies in war wonton or any beef. They were apologetic when I called about mistake and sent us the prawns after. Driver was very nice and apologetic. May try again.

Honestly, I’ve eaten here quite often for many years when family is in a rush, shopping etc.however I never want to hurt a business with what happened, but in this case I feel I need to. I ordered chow mein, ss pork, and deep fried wings. Everything came out piping hot, fast, as always. They have that pegged. However, I ate a bit of my food, gave the rest to my partner. I was up at 3am with a very upset stomach, it took a little longer for my partner but the same thing. I don’t like to blame, but in this instance something did happen and it wasn’t good to the point where it’s lasted far too long. Please make sure you keep your food out of unsafe temperatures where bacteria can thrive. Everyone makes mistakes, but if I was an elderly person it could have been way worse. Take this as a learning experience more than a bad review.

I got the spicy chicken and noodles. The spicy chicken had very very little meat in it. Come on guys we are not paying for veggies. If I could it would have been 0 stars
I understand times are ruff but at the same time u guys charge a leg and a arm. Atleast be good with the Food

The lady that worked on Thurs, Mar 2nd at the Vedder location is extremely rude and doesn't treat every customer with the same courtesy. She went out of her way with the customers before me and treated me like I was a nuisance and was disrespectful. Instead of looking at me and letting me know my order was ready she slid my order down the counter at me and said "here" and then walked away. She didnt even put it in a take out bag. Clearly doesn't understand how to treat customers. The supposed lemon chicken was horrible. It's pounded out so thin, you're basically just getting greasy batter.

Take out is great, good size portions. Seems like they care about what are serving people.

Used to go here as a child with my family we wanted to try again now that we’re in the area. Used to be excellent Chinese food. Now it’s basically fast food that tastes horrible. Definitely not worth it. If you’re looking for something cheap, sure give it a try if you want but not the same as it used to be and not appetizing at all, didn’t even go close finishing the meal. The lady at the front was so welcoming to other customer but was extremely unhappy with us for some reason. Ultimately, it’s just not worth it unless you like cheap fast food

I want to put a indoor water feature for those koi fish lol
That would make an already cool atmosphere rock.

I prefer this Gingko in town it's the better of them if you need quick food and feeling like Chinese for dinner.

Lol at Wendy Sims who wrote the previous review. She’s rude as hell. I was there lady. Her husband came in and she sat her liar self in the car. So she’s talking out her backside with her review. Her husband was upset but kept it mature. Ginkgo was apologetic. I feel bad for her hubby. Anyways here’s my takeout plate at home. This restaurant is consistently professional, friendly & delicious - have never made any mistake with my orders.

Bought deep fried wonton was disgusting. Overcooked as meat was almost black. The excuse was they had to cook them longer as they were fr9zen and didn't have any thawed. And they had lots of orders. Then don't sell them. One bite and in the garbage! Disgusting customer service. We are not too fussy about getting something sub par but this was horrible. No apologies or anything just excuses. Horrible!

It was my first time visiting, and I knew going just before closing the food was not going to be the freshest, but I wanted something bit healthier than fries and greasy burger. Service was fast, although the cashier said they were only taking debit at that time. The food was decent, the noodles a little dry and the pork a little overcooked, but some ppl like it that way. The nice part is it was served piping hot.

We ordered veg chow mein, chicken chow mein, veg fried rice, chicken fried rice, honey garlic chicken, sweet amd sour pork and mixed veg for our family. The order was $119. We are a family of 6.

Normally i dont place reviews but i felt compelled after this experience.

The chicken in the fried rice and chow mein dishes was absolutely trash. At first i wasnt sure what it was supposed to be. It was unrecognizable to any meat ive ever had before with a texture to match.

The chow mein noodles were incredibly dry, the word spongy spring to mind.

The Honey Garlic Chicken was over cooked and dry beyond edible. Rolled sawdust smothered in sweet. Only the large bits of "chicken" were edible.

The sweet and sour pork was the only dish that the kids didnt complain about oddly enough.

If its cheap food you want, this is the place.

Over all not worth the $119 dollars we spent. This is a fair warning.

This place is terrible. Ordered the chicken balls and almond chicken. It Came with literally “zero” sauce. I phoned and called and the lady said “most people don’t like sauce. ” I asked her then what made the Difference between almond and sweet and sour chicken. She had no answer. Spend your money elsewhere. Don’t waste your time.

The owner has an arrogant attitude and no service at all. An unpleasant experience. Highly not recommended!

If your poor and live in your car this is the place for you. It has no flavour and is bland and most likely just reheated. How they are still in business, let alone 3 locations I have no idea
