The lady at the front desk is super helpful! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She offered us a lot of advice in regards to the Urinary food our bulldog needed. I also decided to call her as I had a couple questions. She was great and gave me some tips on how to get my bulldog to eat his new urinary food. They aren’t even our vet office. Thanks again. Friendly staff. We visited this vet because of our adoption through Heart and Soul society. Lovely group and appreciation for the spay included with the adoption.

For those of you reading reviews wondering what vet to go to next, this is the place! They truly care about your pets and go above and beyond to a happy healthy pet.

Beware! Having pets all of our lives, we have been to many vet clinics throughout the years. Our visit yesterday to Gladys Pet Hospital was our first and last and we are left feeling traumatized. We brought our sweet boy in for an exam to try to figure out what was causing his limp. The vet suggested an x ray without sedation. We commented on the lack of sedation however he assured us it would not pose a problem. After taking an x ray, the vet said the probability of bone cancer was high. That we could test further to confirm however that was his opinion. When I asked him if it could be anything else, he bluntly responded “no”. Then he proceeded to suggest further costly x rays with sedation. After crying for the rest of the evening and the better half of today, I decided to get a second opinion. It’s worth mentioning that the second opinion came from a trusted vet that has treated many of our animals in the past in another province. He would have nothing to gain by disputing this diagnosis other than the well being of our dog. He stated that the x ray taken was a non diagnostic, poor quality x ray. He was shocked that it was done without sedation and was shocked even further that bone cancer was even suggested. He said the x ray showed nothing more than some bone density loss that could be caused by a number of things. Needless to say, we feel absolutely scammed. Our honest opinion is that this vet suggested this route to maximize profits. That he knew he wouldn’t get the proper x rays and would have to do further x rays, meaning more money made. How could any vet think a dog in pain would be cooperative for an x ray? Also, how could any vet have the heart to jump to conclusions causing extreme emotional distress? When I called to discuss my concerns with the vet and ask for a refund of the x ray ONLY so we could put it towards a PROPER x ray WITH sedation, the vet had the audacity to tell me I was stressing him. I’ve spent the last 12 hours crying to the point of my eyes being swollen due to his hasty conclusion and shady practices but I’m stressing him? ! Unbelievable! I hope this vet rights this situation and refunds the x ray (I am not disputing the med and exam cost). To have to dispute this charge with my credit card company or in small claims court is just another stress to add to an already stressful situation.

Edit: In response to the owner. I have to say your reply was nothing but blatant lies. Not once did we mention the cost of anything before proceeding. The only time money was discussed was when you suggested you could do an unsedated X-ray and we asked the cost. You in fact suggested the unsedated X-ray as there was not enough time as it was late in the day to do a sedated X-ray. There were no pros, cons, risks, etc.discussed as we felt very rushed. No compassion was evident from this vet. Something we are not accustomed to as our previous vet always took time with our pets to comfort them. The exam was very short. The vet made us put him on the table whereas as our previous vet always came down to his level to examine him. Being he was in pain, that would have been the sensible thing to do. We even questioned the vet tech as Louie had always been sedated and she assured us they could get it done. We would have had no issue waiting a day to get the sedated X-ray for a proper diagnosis and for you to turn the tables and blame us is appalling. We said consistently that he had always been sedated for X-rays which our previous vet can confirm. The fact that he suggested cancer with no factual information is ridiculous. He even discussed palliative care which was very upsetting and without knowing what the diagnosis was we felt that was inappropriate.

You can tell these lies to yourself if that helps you sleep at night but we know the truth We will let the CVBC decide how ethical this situation was.

Gladys Pet Hospital is an exceptional clinic. The staff is wonderful and they are very caring and patient. I've been taking my dogs there for almost 5 years now.

We lost our cat of 13 years a week ago and we were offered complimentary clay paw impressions to be picked up 5 days (or so) later. We never received a call, so we phoned and were told they were ready for pick up. When we arrived we were handed an envelope of poorly done ink prints and told “they ran out of clay”. We were never informed and now will never be able to get those impressions done. During her stay, we were also never informed of her deteriorating condition and we went to pick her up under the impression that her surgery went well. Only then were we told that she wasn’t doing well and should be put down. Horrible communication from staff, lack of empathy, would never take my pet here again. We are heartbroken at the poor care we received.

The people here are absolutely lovely! Our dog gets excited to see the staff and is never afraid to visit. We drive from Chilliwack to Abbotsford just for them.

Recommendation of surgery for our pups' broken leg; pins and such, but our regular vet didn't recommend surgery after seeing the xray, as it was healing rapidly due to the puppys' age and growth. Very expensive for an x-ray, meds and splint $700+, and they left a port in his paw for the next surgery even though they had to send the xrays to an orthopedic surgeon on Monday. This led to an irritated port injury and continued medical aid, a longer healing time, etc. When I was back in town from working at a remote location, the vet tech expressed surprise at the port still being in his paw after 10 days. I suspect that they were attempting to push the surgery on us, hence leaving the port in. Where's the thumbs down button?

We've been taking our dogs to them since we moved here to Abby 6yrs ago. Their staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. When our dog passed away last May, they made sure we had enough time to say our goodbyes and was given enough time to make the decision on the type of urn and keepsake.

The front door of the clinic was dirty and full of cardboard (picture included). They asked me to move out of the way when they were coming out instead of cleaning in front of the other door. No one let me know when it was okay to come inside after asking me to wait outside. The tall red haired staff was extremely rude and seemed like they were not well versed in customer service or communication skills. Take your pet here in an emergency but otherwise go to the Fraser Valley Animal Hospital on Ware St.

Taken good care of our pets. We had two different emergencies with our pets and they took us in right away. Grateful for them being there in off hours. Always seems to be after hours when our pets have needed attention. The first place I go to now, even though we are in Mission and they are in Abbotsford. Dr Mundi has been there for us when needed.

My kitten was super sick. Took her to the emergency before coming here and they did nothing. Gladys pet shop helped so much gave him antibiotics. Eye drops and he was a grand new kitty

When I went in to pay for my parents' and my cat to be cremated the girl was nice. But when it was time to pick up her ashes. Instead of them calling me like I asked, they called my parents. Even though the first girl I talked to was suppose to call me. I was very upset with them for not listening to me. I Don't know why some people are so incompetent. When I specifically asked them to call ME AND NOT MY PARENTS! NOT IMPRESSED WITH THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL. When they can't listen to instructions.

I was just there with my daughter sitting outside. They came & asked me twice if I needed help. Very nice & punctual staff.

We switched over to Gladys Pet Hospital after a very poor experience with a nearby veterinary clinic. Gladys welcomed us with open arms, completely understanding how scarred we were from our recent experiences with an office that only cares about money.
Gladys has been nothing but kind. They care about the pet AND a the humans. When treating a pet, they start with what’s most common as they should. They never just throw a bunch of unnecessary tests at you or anything like that.
They respect that you’re an adult who can do research and decide what foods and things are best for your own pet, and don’t step on any toes.
9/10 times they’ll ask to put you on hold when you call which can be a bit tiresome if you have to call a few times in the same day. But they do it with respect. Unlike other veterinary clinics, they’ll ask if it’s an emergency, or if they can place you on a brief hold. Whereas most other offices just say “please hold” and immediately put you on hold.
Their customer service is much more developed than other places.
100% recommend.

My dog Lucy had emergency surgery they were professional quick to respond and very kind and caring to Lucy.

Updated Aug 2022 - We continue to take our pup here for annual checkups and vaccinations. Everyone is so amazing here. I highly reccomend them to my friends and family with pets.
Original - The front end staff were polite and friendly. They answered all of our questions and were happy to provide us updates on our pup during his surgery. The vet answered our concerns promptly as well. This vet provides excellent service at a reasonable price. We were very pleased with our experience.

Incredibly pleased with Dr. Singh who didn't do unnecessary work on my dog. He easily could have done the work for around $600 and instead he told me to save my money. Very honest guy.

Gladys AH is very unfriendly to rescue organizations, having emailed their rescue clients to tell them their accounts have been closed. If you have a rescue dog you might want to reconsider using them.

Took our brand new kitten to get a check up. They were able to get us in on the same day as we called. Everyone was super friendly, and our kitty loved it there. Very fast, and very good prices

Helpful, kind and patient staff as we had to say goodbye to our beloved fur baby. Very accommodating and supportive to our children. We're so thankful to the staff and kitty Elsa for helping us all through this difficult time.

Went there to pick up a product. The experience was heart wrenching. A dog whimpered and crying and could be heard in the waiting room. Staff seemed to show no compassion whatsoever. The staff was almost non-responsive to questions and almost seemed like they didn’t want me there. I don’t know about the vet and his expertise but I do know I will never go back for anything let alone trusting a pet to them. The place was small and dingy.

Been here a couple of times now with our young rottie and all staff and vets we've met have been awesome.

Took excellent care of my cat! Got him in quickly for surgery and answered all of my questions. Followed up with me afterwards to check on my kitten, as well.:)

We had an emergency with our dog and they got us in within the hour on Boxing day. Even with all the snow and short staffed they were very quick and very sweet. The estimate they gave us was exactly on point and they were finished with the procedure quicker than the they said. Would definitely go here again!

Best vet I've ever taken my cat to! A normal vet visit for my cat is stressful because she usually puts up a big fight. This vet office was calm and the staff and vet doctor here are wonderful! I highly recommend this place for people with animals who stress out easily. My cat was so calm and well behaved. I could tell she felt safe.

I had brought my cat in because she had been coughing, sneezing, and wheezing. The doctor had only given antibiotics and took no blood work or even took a X-Ray (I had asked what they could do for my cat). After 3 Visits 3 antibiotic shots and 2 prescriptions I had taken her to South Fraser Animal Hospital TODAY (Friday Nov 26) to find out my cat had 2 Tumors and had to be euthanized. In my opinion the doctor SHOULD have tried to do more than just give her pills. I feel they only wanted to keep me coming to get more money out of me till my cat died on me suffering for more than the 3 months I had hoped for recovery. I spent over 500$ for a illness that didnt exist and was actually a terminal illness another Hospital told me 20 minutes after checking my cat out.

Veterinarians/Doctors rushes appointments and showing no care for my animal but the staff were very nice and helpful!

These people are the best. When our dog was stung by a wasp at night, they came to the office and took care of her immediately. The price was very reasonable and the people were all very caring and compassionate. I was losing my mind, thinking my dog was going to die, and they were kind to me and put me at ease. I will highly recommend Gladys Pet Hospital and Dr. Mundi to everyone I know.

We have never had a bad experience with Gladys Pet Hospital.
When we had our senior dog they got her in on short notice to assess a lump, they've seen our cat after she got caught on some barbed wire around our farm, and when we sadly had to put our senior dog to sleep they were every accommodating and let me be in the room with her through the whole process. They showed compassion and allowed me to mourn her and take as long as I needed after she had passed, I didn't feel pressured to leave at all, and they got us an imprint of her paw
The doctors have always taken the time to talk to me and answer any questions/explain anything I'm not sure of.

Took my money and no product to show for it. Their mistake and I now have to go and pay for more product for my dog. Piss poor customer service by the owner. Do not recommend for honesty.

I love this vet! They are such sweet ppl there! When ever something is wrong with our furbabies we can count on them to help make everything better. I will always use Gladys animal hospital for all my pets! Thank you guys for everything you do for our family.

Noticed a little blood in my dogs ear on Christmas day and called in many vet clinics as most were closed, including this one. However, since I called in multiple times, I was fortunate enough to receive a phone call back from Dr. Mundi and was able to bring my dog in the same day. I am very thankful for Dr. Mundi as he took the time out of his day, more specifically on Christmas, to come and look at my dog. This is not my usual vet clinic I go to and I refuse to go to the Abbotsford Valley Animal Emergency Clinic because of an unfortunate situation involving a careless veterinarian so I am very thankful for Dr. Mundi. He is kind and very understanding. I trust his judgment and would highly recommend this vet clinic. You're leaving your pets in very good hands. Thank you Dr. Mundi

Quality service and great value here! My puppy has had to take several trips here already and they take very good care of him at a very reasonable price. The vets are always available to answer my questions and explain things simply and understandably. Thanks for taking care of my fur baby!

Great atmosphere and staff. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. Very professional service. My ma has been using them for almost a year to support her 3 animals and we have never had a concern about the treatment or quality of service in regards to our loved ones. Food advice has been top notch and all our animals are on well balanced diets. Can't really comment on price, as i have never owned a pet of my own and have no base for comparrison. General feeling on that note is that food prices are generally only slightly higher than you would expect, certainly within the means of my ma's moderate income household. As for services, again, no basis to make a recommandation. Definately plan to stick with this office in the future.

We received excellent care for our dog on short notice. The staff was welcoming and provided excellent instructions for the medicine we had to give our pet. Furthermore, the doctor was professional and provided us with options in our dog's treatment that was best for our pet. We brought our dog back for follow up and received the same level of care.

The prices are reasonable. That’s not what counts though. Being financially unstable, I found a resource to get my pups spayed and neutered. My boy Chico went in last week and is doing quite well, they put up with his howling the whole time! My second experience isn’t the best, getting my baby girl Winnie spayed to find out that she may have a rare blood disorder, which in turn, had we known, we never would have gone through with the surgery! Of which none of this is their fault! Everyone there is doing their best to help her! The staff and vets are very understanding and compassionate. I don’t know what I would have done had this type of thing happened anywhere else. With out the funds to put my girl into an animal hospital over night, dr. Mundi and his assistant (i think that’s what she is) will be checking on her periodically over night. Great place to go with your fur babies! You won’t be disappointed.
