We went for High Tea. Our server was amazing. She is very knowledgeable. (Ariana) sorry, if I have your name wrong… The food was good. But, They need to add some mini sandwiches, etc. The atmosphere is great but a big group arrived and they were too loud. Wish their seating was in another area. Overall, a great place to go and hang out. Not great for very young children in the winter.

An enjoyable afternoon with a wine flight each…. The Sauvignon Blanc wasn’t to our taste, but coming from New Zealand everywhere else is going to struggle to meet our palates…great service by the young lady whose name I didn’t get, and the outlook at the back reminded us of Hobbiton on NZs North Island

Favorite winery in the Langley area. Foods not great but the wine is decent and the ambience of the picnic area first class
13 March 2023 16:28
Did the dine in Vancouver. Cold plates not seasoned 65$ for 3 course tasting menu the chicken was supposed to be marinated in red wine an was white. About 3 oz overcooked tossed in pan fried bacon an undercooked potatoes. It was a poor attempt an the cod was over cooked slimy skin which was described as "crispy" as well as cold an no seasoning. Desert was meh the chocolate torte hazelnut crisp was wrapped ing a overyly gross gelatin which you could tell had been sitting unwrapped in the cooler an had formed a skin on it.
White wine was the only thing that saved this dinner from 1 star. Overall wouldn't recommend or be going back.

Fine food
Lovely gracious and competent servers

Sadly could not enjoy one of the flights of wine but the neighbours enjoyed theirs
Will return!

Great food, amazing service. Did not try the wine because they were having a private function shortly
08 January 2023 18:54
Absolutely stunning establishment! We had an amazing sommelier to guide us through the wine. Really fun:)
27 December 2022 13:51
Such a beautiful place for brunch!

We got the charcuterie, crab dip, and blueberry pancakes (not pictured) and 2 bottles of wine (honestly I forgot which ones) but everything was great. Will come back

Lovely visit to Glass House yesterday for my birthday. Staff were very accommodating of our group when we didn't want to sit outside because it was cold. I had a great flight of dry wines that was a nice variety - particularly loved the bubbly! Everyone also loved their breakfasts. Great service that made for a lovely Sunday morning!
21 November 2022 10:53
Good service. Food was lacking. Very generic. Location and venue has lots of potential. Large atrium room not being used anymore so you’re just inside with a view of parking. Honestly expected better.
05 November 2022 12:10
Where do I even begin. Glass House Winery does not know how to handle larger groups at all. And with all the things that went wrong, I’ll be noting down only a couple of them otherwise I could be writing a whole essay.

We made reservations 2 months in advance because we knew we would be a large group (17 people) and wanted to let Glass House prepare in advance as needed. However they were clearly not.

We had one server for our group who got many of the orders wrong along with messing up dietary restrictions orders. As well, our server continued to forget to take some peoples orders so we had to keep reminding her. And when it came to bringing out food and drinks, while some people were finishing up their meal, others were just getting theirs.

As well, many of us wanted the flatbread as it’s one of the only vegetarian options however they said it was out and they had no more. Which is completely okay. Until our waitress accidentally let us know that the reason there was no more was because the cooks did not want to make any more flatbread because it was hot.

With so many other problems during our time, we paid and didn’t bother complaining as we’re not a fussy group of people.

Here is where we became annoyed.

As we were leaving, one of the servers (not our waitress) came up to us and I’m guessing in hopes to embarrass us, loudly said she would like to know if the service was bad as over half of us didn’t tip and that it will come out of the waitress’ pay. All of us confused, one of our group members said she can kindly pay a tip for the missing tips. Once she went back in to pay, we looked at all the receipts and realized only only 4 out of the 17 people (clearly way less than half) didn’t pay tip because they thought gratuity was already added (which is common practice when there are large groups). And with the 4 bills grouped together, it was less than an additional $20 tip. The server was complaining about $20.

Some notes for Glass House:

1. As an establishment that’s been running for 10+ years, you should have learned by now how to prep for large groups.

2. Tips are optional and typically given if good services was provided. Which we did not receive. If you require giving tips, you should have added gratuity. And it is not on the consumer to pay the waitress and worry about if it’s coming out of the waitress’ pay.

ZERO STARS-The worst service ever!
Long story short, glasshouse Has little to no experience with large groups. Your large group reservation means nothing… They do not apologize for their mistakes, rather… they blame the client for them and do nothing to rectify or even try to make their clients happy.

I went to Glass House with a large group of women and we were treated so horribly that we left absolutely disgusted with our experience and vow to never go back again.

I’ve called Joseph Richard group head office several times and no one ever picks up nor do they respond to your voicemails.

I’ve given them a chance to make it right and they have ignored it.

Servers need better training on how to treat their customers.
The server that we had was incredibly rude and had an attitude. This individual needs to work on their customer service skills big time or should not even be serving customers.

This was supposed to be a beautiful outing with some great friends who are also business owners. Some of us work in the wedding industry- I will be sure to tell my Bridal Clients to stay clear of this venue!

When reading the reviews for Glass House (and many other property is owned by this chain) The negative reviews are quite similar so make sure you read them before you plan a large group at any one of their locations.

Never again Joseph Richards, you’ve lost a client forever!

Had brunch with a beautiful view. Nice clean vineyard, cute picnic tables across from the outdoor patio dining. The service was great! Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was ok, nothing special. We came thinking we can order off the lunch menu as well but we weren’t able to. Our mistake. But perhaps removing the Lunch section from the brunch menu itself would be less confusing? Overall it was a good first time experience. Won’t be back for brunch - the price vs the quality just wasn’t reflecting each other. But we’ll be back for the winery!
24 October 2022 7:59
Terrible customer service. We could not get the table for a big group that was reserved a month prior our wine tour. Instead of finding a solution, the server and the manager handled it in a very unpleasant way. Definitely not coming back here.
21 October 2022 16:15
The quickest wine tasting I’ve ever experienced - our server (mr snow) described each drink in a monotonous tone lacking energy or effort (probably as he had repeated it a million times and frankly just didn’t give a hoot) so, this was an underwhelming experience, sadly. Mr snow - please acquire customer service skills (being friendly and not so dismissive) and respect all. However, we didn’t let the rudeness dampen our evening and as wine lovers- we left with the Pinot noir, fester and the bacchus.
17 October 2022 17:25
Just had a very underwhelming and very over-priced meal. I am amazed how bad the fried chicken sandwich was. The chicken was pounded so thin it must have started off the size of a grape. The "special sauce" literally just tasted like Frank's red hot sauce, and the bun tasted stale. All for the low price of $22. A chicken sandwich from popeyes is half the price and a million times better than this garbage. Also our water was never refilled and as soon as we sat down we were told we have a limit of 1.5 hours which is incredibly unwelcoming. Everyone was immediately put off by the time limit. We did come here last year and had a great dinner, but this experience was so bad we will definitely never be coming back here.
16 October 2022 15:06
Very disappointing! We loved this place until something changed last year. We thought we’d give it another chance, but we’re so disappointed. The atmosphere was unwelcoming. More concerned that we fully understand we only had our table for an hour and a half than making sure our experience was good for the time that we took up their table. Oh no, it wasn’t that they were busy, almost empty, only two other parties
14 October 2022 16:47
Came for an organized bachelorette on a wine tour and had a terrible experience. The server with our group of 14 emphasized that she didn’t have time for us (we were scheduled and pre-paid) and continued to pour wine in our unfinished glasses. We were escorted outside and refused plastic glasses to enjoy the 5+ bottles that we bought. Our tasting in the bar was 15 minutes.

The wine was enjoyable, but we were trumped by a wedding that was scheduled on the grounds in the afternoon. In future, don’t accept a tour if you don’t have capacity to do so. We are paying customers as much as your other events.
Unfortunately many of us will not return.
11 October 2022 12:57
Beautiful location but some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I worked in the restaurant industry for a long time and never have I ever been treated like this in a restaurant.
29 September 2022 2:38
Food was alright. The mushroom flatbread was a little disappointing, but the crab dip and burger was good. Whites and bubbly here were delicious!
05 September 2022 4:14
Went here on a saturday afternoon cheese board and crab dip was so yummy! Enjoyed the Dessert Wine Flavour for the flights
31 August 2022 0:39
Finally got the chance to check out Glass House with some girlfriends and it exceeded expectations.
The weather was good so we were able to sit outside. It is a beautiful spot with a great atmosphere. We each got a wine flight as well as the charcuterie board and one of the flat breads. The wine was delicious, it was nice to have both a red and a white dessert wine option. Our server was super sweet and helpful.

I will definitely be coming back here!
28 August 2022 18:57
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice tasting room, patio area and picnic areas. Had a group of 9 there for lunch and some of us had the wine flights as well. Everyone agreed their whites were better than their reds. Food was only mediocre … portions were on the small side and 2 of us who ordered the same thing both had some GI issues after.
27 August 2022 10:31
Had a fantastic wine tasting with Felicity this evening! She was a great host, very personable and had excellent recommendations! Food was also great. We will be back soon!
23 August 2022 14:04
I just dined here for a summer work event. We made reservations about a month ago and were originally seated inside, which was a bit disappointing since the outside was so beautiful. Luckily, they were able to make room for us outside. The venue is so pretty. There’s a covered patio and then a large outdoor picnic area. There is also a large room that you can rent out for events.

Food wise, we shared a charcuterie board, and I had the mushroom flatbread and a wine flight, which were great.

Our server, Kate, was “lovely” (she loved using that word).

I’d definitely visit again.

(Pic is of the private event space)

Its a nice winery, cute place to take photos etc. However their charcuterie board was a bit lacking. We shared it among 3 people and it came with approx 6 crackers, barely any cheese, not enough meat and for what you get its quite pricey. If you are going to charge over $30 for this, please add more cheese and meat. The photo attached is literally the board before we ate anything off it.
26 July 2022 20:19
Really wanted to like this place but I just can't
. The only reason why I am giving it a 2 star is because the staff was pleasant but for the price you pay for the quality and amount of food you get is completely ridiculous

The brunch bowl
you get a single egg
5 1x1 inch (ish) potatoes
50 grams.if that.of pork for 20 dollars

for the charcuterie board you get
2 types of cheese about 100 grams (ish)
4 types of meat about 150 grams (ish)
10 crackers
and 5 slices of bread 200 grams (ish) for 30 dollars

And while paying this crazy price you get to dine with plastic cutlery and plastic wine cups. AT A VINEYARD WINERY.
21 July 2022 8:29
It was my first time visiting food was okay but the service here is terrible. One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant.
05 June 2022 3:25
Poor experience. Cold food. Our friends sent theirs back. We ate ours as it was a long wait for it for the order and we were really hungry. Our friends got their meals comped. We paid full price even though it was ice cold and we ate it. Poor management decision. We were very hungry so trying to help them out and diffuse the anger going around our table.

The only reason I gave two stars instead of one star is because the manager did step up and they were very apologetic. I would have given an extra star if the manager would have recognized that we ate cold food.

$50 (no alcohol) is not a cheap brunch however well worth it if it is great food. Sorry, I didn't take pictures as it was like putting out a wildfire at our table.
02 May 2022 14:36
They messed up our online reservation. The menu has only two red wines yet they are a winery. They had only one beer available of the four on the menu. The charcuterie board was sent back as the bread and overall presentation and content was worth maybe $15.00 not $33.00.
14 April 2022 15:44
Had a wonderful experience here as we brought out-of-town guests to the Glass House. Great food - the crab dip (to die for) and the charcuterie platter were perfect appies to be served with our flights. Especially enjoyed their Madeleine angevine! Our guests ended up taking a couple bottles of Voignier home as well. Visited in January and would love to return during the spring and summer months.
20 March 2022 22:56
Great place for a wine tasting, and the Sphera 360 Dining Experience. Service was great, and the food was very tasting. A must try!
05 November 2021 2:03
Great place to bike to and have a picnic. Bring a real glass of you are getting a bottle to drink out in picnic area. They will only give you plastic glass.
29 October 2021 19:12
Service, Wines and scenery were great. But menu for brunch session were limited especially when we intend to pairing with wines. My choice of wines: Madeleine angevine, Misceo, NV Viognier and Dulcedo
27 October 2021 13:30
I've been to some really good wineries in the Okanagan but the service that I experienced here at Glass House was just so absolutely amazing! Our server was probably like who let these nutters in here (we were quite loud towards the end cus my cousin Cindy is so frickin hilarious!) (She's the one in the picture at the back with the shorter hair️)
The charcuterie board was gobsmacking amazing, the wine flights were so very tasty and the pumpkin tart to finish it all off was just beyond anything I've ever eaten before! And it was just added to the menu today I was told by the server. Such a pallet cleanser so tasty so delicious what a way to end a perfectly lovely day with my cousins and mother? Highly recommend this place
09 October 2021 12:52
Wine and food ok, didn't like plastic wine glasses and plastic cutlery. Didnt mind to have to sit away from restaurant but felt forgotten. No service to speak of, even so there was no price difference.
06 October 2021 16:05
I was there in June of this year, for Dine Out Vancouver. The food and wine pairings were nothing short of miraculous. Each plate was a work of art and delicious. After talking it up to all my friends, my daughter scheduled my surprise 70th, at the glass house, on August 19th. What a dissapointment the food was. Unimaginative plating, cutrate burgers and a chocolate mousse made somewhere, with slimy passion fruit on it. My crabdip had so much garlic, and it was devoid of any crab. I was embarrassed, because most of the people attending were experienced diners and I totally had talked it up. Something has changed for the worse.
05 October 2021 3:46
I was disappointed with our visit to the Glass House. Wine and halibut mediocre at best. The goat cheese and tomato flatbread was the most enjoyable part of the visit. The worst part was the bathroom situation. 2 bathrooms for 100 plus guests and definitely not clean. How did this get passed by city inspectors? We won't be going back.
27 September 2021 15:53
Great wine and ambience. Service is good. Been here for dinner and brunch and highly recommend it.
19 September 2021 0:23
Food wasn't hot, no decent reds and they round their bill +-0.05. In a primarily cashless society I would expect the bill to be exact and not rounded. Wonder how much extra they make each year by rounding? Wonder if they do this at their other restaurants? Service however in both winery and restaurant was excellent so nothing against the staff.
08 September 2021 1:52
Overpriced and overhyped. We ordered the charcuterie board for $33, and got 2 tiny blocks of cheese, and a few slices of meat, probably costing $5 in total. Just because you put it on a board, does't mean you can up the price! We bought a bottle of wine for the table, and when we asked for it to be placed in ice, they brought out 1 plastic cup of ice. Definitely not worth it.
04 September 2021 8:45
This is a great winery. The food menu was limited, but good. The wine selection for the tasting flight covered a lot of variety (I did not order though). Our server was great with the service, readily available if we needed anything.

My main issue was that today was an extremely hot and smokey, and the Glass House had absolutely no fans or any form of air circulation. Without any form of air circulation in the building, it made the experience less than ideal.

When the weather's better, and not so hot, I'll give it another go, but without any form of air circulation in the building, I'd pass and wait.
26 August 2021 11:54
As people have stated before me, unless the establishment improves the quality of the food that leaves the kitchen, go there for the wine tasting and the ambience. Felt actually more like an Earl's or Cactus Club than a winery.

The halibut was overdone and chewy, the wild mushroom flatbread ice cold, the crab dip chunky and meh. This was a bit of a disappointment as we went there for a special occasion dinner.

The two stars are for the food as our server deserves 5 stars. She was very attentive even so she was very busy.

Probably won't be back unless we hear the food has improved to accompany the wines.
25 August 2021 13:26
Had the Spring Table d’hote menu. Outstanding meal and every wine pairing was delicious. Fabulous location for any occasion
24 August 2021 0:51
We always enjoy their wines however the food lacks creativity and taste.when we plan a night out with our friends we all eat first and then order something light.
31 July 2021 20:05
Very nice spot. The wine is great. They're definately over priced on food though. Quantity and quality food not align with dollars spent
17 July 2021 19:53
We expected that the wine tasting experience during a pandemic has changed along with every other experience during this time. The Glass House has good measures in place to help protect patrons, their employees, as well as the venue. Our table of four waited for an hour to be seated. We received friendly and respectful service. The food was extremely delicious. To boot, there was a wedding onsite that we got to witness from afar. A beautiful experience overall. I especially liked their 2019 Madeleine Angevine, as well as their 2018 Cabernet Franc.
29 June 2021 2:39
Not Dog Friendly. I have been going to the glass house for years and never had a problem bringing my dog out to the picnic tables on the grass. All of a sudden they are enforcing No Dog Allowed policy. So I won’t go back and went to Backyard Vineyards just around the corner and had no issues with my dog.
15 June 2021 11:43
An awesome experience! First impressions? Very very pleased. My wife and I enjoyed a charcuterie board and a bottle of their Alludo rosé on a picnic table in the sunshine. We did a wine tasting prior to our lunch and enjoyed a wide selection of whites, pinks, and reds. All staff were friendly and informative.
29 April 2021 1:30
The setting is great, especially the picnic tables set way back from the winery. Aim for a table there, rather than the porch attached to the restaurant. Wine was good. Tried the Charcuterie board which had a lovely presentation, but was a little light on substance (only 2 meats & two small cheese triangles). Despite this, looking forward to trying the food menu next time.

Glass house winery is an amazing hidden gem! We recently had the opportunity to gather a few close friends and family for a birthday celebration here. The winery itself is beautiful and the wines taste amazing! Ingrid was such a lovely host and has an abundance of knowledge when it comes to wines. Thank you Glass House Estate Winery!
10 February 2019 22:37
What an amazing event at Glass House today! Amazingly generous winery - they hosted their second annual open house where they give everyone a complimentary glass of wine and amazing Dutch eats! Fantastic wine - super people! There is not a better winery in BC!
29 January 2019 15:42
Out of 5 vineyards in the immediate area this was the greatest let down with disconnected service and an arrogant undertone. Aside from it being like a private club, the wines were over-priced by comparison.unless this is to your taste and go-to spot.
28 December 2018 22:01
I recently had the privilege of a tasting with the staff and owners of this beautiful winery. I honestly did not find a wine that was not superb!
I have an advanced certificate. Wset III so I have some knowledge of good wine when I taste it. But I was so impressed with the hospitality and knowledge from the staff. Margit was so gracious and friendly. As the former Assistant Manager of a large winery in the Okanagan, I will say job well done!
If you are out tasting in this area. STOP here. You will not be disappointed.
Thank you Ingrid and Arthur
26 November 2018 19:21
Beautiful settings, very personable and knowledgeable owners, exquisite wines, especially the Bacchus and Austellus
20 November 2018 4:41
Everytime we drop by, this place gets busier and busier. Very active today and the banquet hall, at the back, shows it's wedding venue potential. Even the yard with the bridge, screams, wedding pictures. Today we purchased a case of wine, plus, plus and great place, Thanks.
19 November 2018 2:23
What a beautiful venue. Was just there for a celebration of life for a dear friend and was just in awe of how beautiful it was
24 June 2018 4:11
We have visited The Glass House many times and can not say enough about how wonderful our experiences have been. The family and staff are so very, very welcoming and knowledgeable. We have learned so much and appreciate the time, care and love that goes into their wonderful wines.
The Charcuterie platters offered compliment the beautiful wines so well and the warm and comfortable surroundings make for such an amazing place to meet and visit with family and friends.
The winery is such a classy place that we love to go to and a definite addition to our itinerary whenever we have visitors
24 May 2018 2:44
We were a group of 7 younger adults who showed up for a tasting, the welcoming we got was unenthusiastic to say the least. We showed up being very responsible with a designated driver and a car large enough to fit everyone with a seat belt. Our driver was asked to leave the establishment because he brought food to the tasting room. This of course is a fair request, however we were told from staff that it was okay for him to eat his food at the tasting bar. We all promptly left the establishment as two staff members talked saying “they aren’t even drunk”. Above being treated like inferiors (probably be cause of our age) the prices on the wines and tastings were above average and pricier in comparison to all surrounding wineries. They staff seemed full of themselves and made us feel inferior to other patrons in the establishment.
