Glen Lake Liquor & More

Staff is very friendly but unfortunately seems negligent about serving intoxicated customers. Went in to buy a 6 pack, saw a man so drunk that he could barely stumble in. Thought for sure nobody would serve this person any more liquor. Nope, they let him buy a lotttt of whiskey. Guy barely made it out the door before opening and drinking the whiskey, on the patio for the pub next door. Anything to make their dollar I suppose.

Nice guy working there. Didn’t have alamos but he was kind enough to suggest me 1884. Its the only liquor store i know and will go when in Victoria. It was that good

I don’t support this liquor store that has people living in the abandoned building behind or any company that has garbage and furniture all over the place for the community to have to look at
I guess all they care about is the booze not the community
So I support another store.

Prices are reasonable. Compare to others it has cheaper pricing. Good selection as well. People around are friendly

Stop being cheap and fix the potholes in the parking lot. Just wrecked my van bumper thanks to property owners negligence.

Staff is always extremely friendly and helpful if I have a question. Good bunch of people! Keep on keeping on ladies and lads!

This place was good and now they just crazy stupid about masks. Staff is rude now.taking my business else where

A small rundown liquor store, the shelves and most products are covered in dust. The manager is rude and clueless. Makes sense that there is a very hight turn over of employees. This place is in need of a deep clean/face lift and new management.

Worst liquor store. Showed up 15 minutes before close and there was 3 other people that showed up and the guy saw everyone outside and quickly locked the door. Tried calling and no one picked up. Very disappointed and won't ever be back

I haven't been in there in a few years because the last time I was there I was 19-20 and a cashier told me "I'm happy you're not my daughter. " when I made a comment about not caring that a beer can slipped out of the pack and was shaken.

It was the second 8-pack I'd bought that day for my mother who just wanted it as a back up in case she ran out of beer before morning. It would most likely be settled before anyone even tried to touch it.
That comment was emotionally damaging enough that I still think about 2-3 years later and I'm humiliated that she said it around other customers who laughed, and I'm furious that I didn't stand up for myself. Don't joke about people's home life when you don't know it, ESPECIALLY when dealing with alcohol.

I went last week and was meet with an incredibly rude cashier. I'm not one to complain about service. I know it's not fun working with customers but with the experience I had I'm uncomfortable going back. I reached out to the company through email and had no response. I really want to support local businesses and not to mention its convenient but I rather go out of my way to go somewhere else then to shop at this liquor store again.

So my family has lived around GlenLake for 4 generations and this ocd worker at the store Saturday 23 2020 wouldn't let my son borrow my card like it was a form of fraud. She's kinda right but too ocd for GlenLake liquor store we got other stores thanks

Decent selection for the size, have a few things the bigger stores don't carry, good customer service, and they have their own rewards program.

Small store that didnt have what I was looking for. The location is great for quick stops and theirs a small.pub next door as well

Good prices an great staff, reward points too for swag or money off Taphouse an pizza in the building too

Ok place to stop for libations. Ok selection.staff not very friendly or helpful.if u know what you want or need it's ok.

Had an unfortunate experience last week when I had to bring my son into the store with me. I had to stop and pick up a thank you gift in the sweltering heat and decided it was best not to leave my young son in the car to boil. On the way out the door after paying I heard one of the clerks say very loudly to his coworker "great parenting! " and they both started laughing. As a paying customer I would appreciate at least being out of earshot before my character is assassinated. Dont think I'll be back anytime soon.
