This Cantonese restaurant stands out for its exceptional value for money, providing complimentary soup and dessert with every meal. While the decor is relatively ordinary, the food is a highlight, with a delightful taste that captures the essence of authentic Cantonese cuisine. However, the restaurant's service could benefit from some improvements to elevate the overall dining experience.

The price is proportional to the food, nothing special.
Poor service attitude. We had dinner here, but the children were asked to leave before they finished eating.
The parking space at the back was not safe, and the car door was tried to be opened many times.
Never come back since.

The food was good, price moderate but one thing business was too good that day and once we finished brought us the bill doesn't allow us to sit a bit

Pretty standard Cantonese seafood restaurant. It does have a few unique dishes like the lobster rice meal or yellow eel rice. Parking can be a challenge unless you have an early meal.

Lots of customers and lots of food varieties to choose. Price is reasonable. Service is good.

Great value dining. Had lobster sticky rice, peking duck, green beans, tofu fish hotpot, plum pork chops, sweet and sour pork, chilli pepper pork chops, salted egg yolk shrimp, all pretty good. Definitely a hole in the wall experience but the food speaks for itself. Not stellar but great value. Service is minimal and efficient. Decor is probably their weakest attribute but they put money in where it counts.the food.

We chose Golden Spring to celebrate our birthdays because my parents had a good experience eating there the week before. The owner had talked to my parents and had offered us a deal on their crab and lobster dishes that they normally reserve for weekdays. When we got to the restaurant the following weekend, the owner went back on his word and did not uphold the original offer. That is fine, since the advertisements from the restaurant say it is for the weekend only anyway. However, when my parents asked to sit at a larger table, they were told to spend a certain amount on dinner because that larger table was already reserved for another party. I have never heard of this rule before and was not impressed with these unwritten rules. The actual food itself was average. Portions are reasonable. If you do not care too much about service or ambience then this place is okay.

A fabulous Chinese restaurant that specializes in Cantonese cuisine. A must to try steamed lobster with sticky rice in lotus leaf. Lots of good veggie dishes.

A small nook in the cranny type of place but don't let that fool you. The place has good food and service well worth multiple visits.

I am still so full of from all the great food I had at Golden Spring Restaurant that I can't focus to write about the awesome time I had. My Cantonese is non existent so I can't even explain the dishes that I tried. All I can say for this restaurant it is a Authentic Chinese restaurant that serves Authentic delicious Chinese food in a creative Chinese surroundings. The staff was super friendly and professional serving in a family style manner with courtesy and grace, the food was presented and cleared without any distractions. If you want to be treated to authentic Cantonese and Mandarin dishes and be in surroundings that add to your experience, Golden Spring is the restaurant you want to try. Remember to pace your self and leave space for dessert.

This place is amazing for the quality and price. Peking duck, lobster rice and 7 other dishes, only for just over $300. Fed 10 people. Highlights were "wind sand chicken wings", Peking duck, lobster rice, and the seafood mixed veggies stir fry.

Staff were nice but they were pretty busy so service was slightly slow at start. Once the food was ordered it all came really quickly.

We went to eat at 6: 15, they have no chicken, no veggies and the service was lacking severely since we were in a back room. The food was good tho. Thus, 3 stars.

Jan 2023 we came back for the first time after pandemic. We got the lobster meal ($128). So far the food is okay but wow one of the waitress has very poor serving etiquette. She was loudly complaining about some customers order and then she kept on repeating she stepped on poo (idiom for making trouble for herself) … all this while we were eating our dinner…. Seriously.

The food was tasty and portion sizes good. The parking lot is very small but there will be street parking along Broadway after rush hour.

Dined in to this small restaurant with my family, just because we use to be regulars almost a decade ago. I must say the service and food quality has dropped significantly over the span of the decade. We wanted to revisit this restaurant to see if it had become any better from before; however, it seems that the restaurant service had worsened. We came for lunch on Oct 20 and it slow for the restaurant (there were only 2 other elderly folks).

Everything was normal, my family was seated and the server took our order, the issue arose when the server (an older Asian lady) delivered the incorrect food to our table and when confronted politely about the issue that she had given us the wrong dish, she proceeded to blame us for HER mistake. She decides the BEST option to solve the issue was to throw the food away, which didn't affect me too much, but I generally dislike wasting food. The part that affected me was when confronted by the other table as to why the food was taking too long, she decided it was best to explain to the other table that it was my families fault that their food wasn't ready.

I assume she didn't think we understood Cantonese, but as someone who worked in the restaurant industry, I totally understand that mistakes happen, but I truly believe that this situation could have been handled more professionally and or avoided as a whole, especially without my family being antagonized and blamed for her simple mistake. There were a few other smaller issues after the issue, but I've decided to leave it out. My family and I have decided it's best we stay away from this restaurant as there are way better options 5 minutes away.

Great for groups (8+) : large tables, and sectioned rooms for banquets. Generous portions for the set meals (dinner for 10 was more than enough for 11-12).

The food was good, service excellent, especially if you have someone who speaks Chinese.
