I always receive great service from everyone at Goldstream Bikes. I recently wanted to upgrade my hubs to some very special PINK! I9 Hydras, and was unsure about making the leap to carbon wheels. Bailey helped me with all the information I needed to make my decision, he's like an encyclopedia for bikes! I love my new wheels!

I have a new ebike with a lot of use. I needed a tune-up, so I booked an appointment in store. The attendant and the mechanic did a quick on the spot inspection, and we discussed any issues I was having with the bike. I really liked that, just like taking your car in. Ebikes are expensive and need the same level of service. They detailed the work, and I brought the bike in. I appreciate that they did the work that was agreed upon. What I didn't like was that they replaced parts that yes were needed but should have called before proceeding. I had an additional $300 on my bill that I was not expecting. In the two days they had the bike, there was plenty of opportunity to call and go over any additions. They did give back the parts that were recovered for my inspection. Aside from that small issue I have confidence I have a local bike shop that knows their stuff. Everyone on staff is fantastic.

Me: can you change this 1 bolt

GSB: we changed the bolt, and than "did" a bunch of brake work you didn't ask for and we neglected to tell you we're doing,
Ps. You dont have any brakes now because your cables don't have enough compression, here's your $95 bill for a $4 bolt and a bunch of made up labour.

Me: thanks, I guess.

Me: go's back a few months later to get these cables the say I need.

GSB: with out even looking, yeah compression is not the issue, you need an adjustment and new rotors.

Me: the bikes brand brand new.

GSB: with out the new rotors you're breaks won't be vary good but we replaced your damaged rear cable (brand new btw) here's $120 bill.

Thank you for $215 worth of slimey lies, a $4 bolt and a cable we both know I didn't actually need.

This store is our neighbourhood bike shop. We have purchased all our bikes for our family from Goldstream Bicycles since 2014. The team there is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They offer a good selection of a wide range of bikes from road bikes to full suspension mountain bikes. They even sell e-bikes. Their service shop is excellent, being staffed with talented mechanics who give honest, advice.

The team is also honest. Last time I was there I was in a rush and I had to hurry things along. Because of this a small error was made on my invoice that I had no idea about. By the time I got home, I had an email stating that the error had been made and subsequently corrected resulting in a credit being applied to my account.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences, great advice, and great products while doing business with Goldstream Bicycles. Customer for life!

Eager staff that know what is best for you. Even if it's not what's best for them.

I've had great service from the gang at Goldstream Bikes with every visit; be it for browsing, parts sales and a couple of bike purchases.

The staff are great, and the selection is amazing considering the size of the shop.

Absolutely atrocious customer service. I brought my bike in for a simple repair with simple instructions and was charged for a bunch of extra unnecessary work that I did not approve. They did nothing to resolve the situation. Not only that, but when I received my bike, I found that a bunch of things were wildly out of spec making the bike unrideable. Now I'm forced to pay someone else to repair their mistake. This is on top of a series of negative interactions including selling a brand new $4000 Kona poorly built and having to return multiple times to have it tuned (Extrememly wobbly rims etc). I will NEVER go to Goldstream Bicycles again.

Update: I did reach out directly, was given the run around and was charged for work I did NOT approve. On top of that, it is out of spec and poorly repaired. Obviously if you they had an ounce of customer service, I wouldn't have left this review.

Brought my bike in after a few years of neglect. There was a lot of work needed on the bike but Goldstream ran all repairs by me first before proceeding on them. Before installing parts on the bike, they presented options for replacement parts based on quality, price and needs on my bike.

Price seemed reasonable for the work and the parts plus staff was very professional and friendly.

I had a lot of confidence getting back on the bike and it performed like new. Thanks Goldstream Bicycles!

I’m new to the world of bikes and had them tune up the bike that’s been sitting in my shed. Great service, fast repairs, great communication. I’m delighted to have them so close!

Unbelievable service from all the staff! My brother and I were looking to upgrade to full suspension MTB and we were blown away by the knowledge and attention to detail. We both ended up purchasing Devinci Troy G12’s and couldn’t be happier. Our go to bike shop from now on. Thank you!

Amazing customer service! The guys in the shop are very knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. They go above and beyond on all service I need for my transition patrol. Highly recommending this shop for all bike related things. Can’t say enough good things about this shop. I go mainly for mountain bike maintenance, upgrades, and clothing, but they have a huge variety to fit all bike needs.

We were visiting from out of town and my husband called Goldstream Bicycles in hopes of having them keep his bike in a safe spot for a few hours as we didn’t feel comfortable leaving it in the car or locked up outside. They said they don’t normally offer that kind of service but would make an exception this time for us. We appreciated it so much and couldn’t thank them enough for doing that for us. Everyone at the shop was lovely and we would recommend them for all your bike needs when you’re in town! We know we’ll be back!

These boys are right slayers. Brought a banged out 26" in for a new rear wheel and not only did they have the Gd thing in stock, but they fit me in to swap everything over like a Nascar pit crew and I'm out the door.

Ran up after popping a tube 2 blocks away. The folks working immediately took in my wheel and replaced the tube in 10 minutes, all the while being very transperant and communicative. Good experience born out of a bad situation!

I purchased my first pair of spin bike shoes from them during the COVID-19 pandemic. I wasn’t sure what shoes were compatible with my new spin bike pedals. They were so helpful through email correspondence! I was able to get the correct shoe and they installed the cleats for me too. When I got them home, I could not figure out how to “clip in”, so I brought the pedals and shoes into the store and they were more then happy to help me! I am so grateful and happy with the whole experience at Goldstream bikes, I would recommend these cycling professionals to anyone! Thank you:)

With so many bicycle shops all over the US, Victoria BC, Canada was the last place I ever expected to purchase my Kona mtb. Well that's exactly where I did finally find my white whale. Love this shop. Really knowledgeable staff great selection, and if you make a purchase they let you rummage through there sticker pile, its like going back in time when you dig deep.

The customer service is fantastic. The owner is friendly and always willing to help. Owner also set up appropriate measures for Covid-19 to ensure safety of customers.

Always excellent service at Goldstream bikes and e-bikes. Staff are fun, knowledgeable and the owner, Steve donates a ton to the cycling community. It’s the only bike shop around that gets my money.

Exceptional customer from the buying process to after sale service. They are knowledgable and personable. They know you by name and always polite and courteous. Highly highly recommend.

I've got a few favorite bike shops, and Goldstream is one of them! Great, friendly service and frequently some very good deals to be had. Over the years I've purchased lots of gear and just a few bikes - a 2009 Kona Lana'i, 2011 Kona Dew, 2016 Kona Sutra LTD frameset, and 2018 Silverback Slider LT1 - and they've all been excellent.

Furthermore, Goldstream has been and continues to be an amazing supporter of SIMBS (South Island Mountain Bike Society). In fact, I won a sweet new camelback at the recent SIMBS AGM, which was just one of the huge amount of prizes donated by Goldstream. All that to say: Thanks to the folks at Goldstream Bicycles - you rock!

Horrible return policy. Bout a pair of gloves had them for a week and the broke at the seam. Then they had to send in gloves to the company to see if it qualified for a replacement which could take up to a month.

I came to the store the look at ebikes. I commented on how I wanted my bike to look nice and the sales person made a sexist remark saying "you can always add tassels to the handlebars". Really not impressed. An ebike is not a small purchase, and I won't be returning to this store.

These guys do a great job on repairs, and go the extra mile. I brought in my commuter bike on a Saturday and they were able to have it ready for Sunday. They also took the time to clean off the bike, as I hadn't had time. They're always friendly, courteous and informative on your options. Its great if you can do your own bike repairs, but if you are not able to, your money will be well spent here.

The service provided by goldstream bikes has far exceeded any of my expectations. I highly recommend this store to anyone considering a bike purchase or who needs their cycling needs met.

I purchased my bike from this store and there was an unfortunate mechanical error. Bike warranties aren't always designed to be in favour of the owner, but goldstream bikes went above and beyond in their service in assisting me to get a new one.

When I purchased the bike, many of the staff took the time and spent the energy to ensure my purchase worked best for me. The staff answered questions that I didn't realize I even had.

I had a fantastic experience with the very knowledgeable Tristan. The staff as a whole are very nice, but Tristan was especially helpful and gave me more info then I expected to get. I had a lot of questions about my bike and it was like I was talking with a close friend. Definitely going back because of the knowledge and kindness at this place.

Brought my bike in for a tune up (hasnt had any love in YEARS). Was tuned up and returned in less amount of time than expected at a great price! Thank you:)

Just bought a bike with my wife here today! Dave was super helpful happy to answer all our questions and the process was a breeze.

After poking around a handful of shops in Victoria we landed at Goldstream Bicycles. Customer service is unparalleled, with no pressure and solid advice from passionate people who know their stuff! Great value for top notch products, we ended up purchasing 2 bikes with all the bells and whistles as well as a rack for the car all without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!

I do all my own work. This shop has not made me feel guilty because i want to do all my own maintenance. They happily source parts as required. Recently took care of warranty claims for a bike that wasn't even purchased at the shop. Really pleased about how easy they are making it to deal with them.

The staff here are always ready to help you out no matter how busy they are (which can be pretty busy, which isn’t surprising! Their staff and goods are all top notch.) They have everything from hybrid to road, mountain to electric, and they do their best to make sure that the bike is the perfect fit for you snd your needs. They never try to upsell you, and they give you just the right amount of space so that you can feel comfortable while getting all the informstion that you need. Their accessory selection is vast as well, and they would not sell something if they did not feel it was safe for the customer. If your bike needs an emergency repair, they will do their best to try to fit it in to their schedule, and if they can’t they will try to figure something out so that you’re not riding your bike in a hazardous condition. If i could give this place 6 stars, I’d give them a 7. Keep up the good work, guys! I’ll be recommending your store for years!

First thing I have to say is this bicycle has been a treat to ride, I did upgrade the grips and pedals but otherwise everything was exactly to my taste.your mileage may vary.

Shimano Deore M610,10- speed 11-32T rear end hooks up positively seamlessly with the Brose 250w mid drive motor system.with some decent effort you will be up to and beyond the 45kph limited speed.

The Tektro M735,4 piston front 180mm rotor, 2 piston rear 180mm rotor combined with the 27.5 plus size Supermoto tires - has all the stoping power you could ever need and cornering is an absolute dream!

There are three modes of assist -

1: cruise - the rider dominates the majority of power with perceived input from the drive train-
2: tour - the rider receives levels of assist that would equal an additional 120-200watts of gradual power
3: sport - the rider receives full power from the drive system at all times up to a maximum of 45kph/28mph

I am currently doing more testing in tour and cruise modes for a more realistic view of actual commuting data but I will say sport is exceptionally fun!

My first ride ended up with 31km covered in 1 hour with an average power of 260watts at ave speed of 31kph max speed of 70kph - max elevation gain 592m or 1800ft left with 85% and returned with 10-15% battery. (This included an extra 55lbs of gear without this I suspect an easy 40km under these same conditions)

After a few days of commuting in the city.even faster a few rides to and from work in sport mode I’ve got 40km and 8 bars left. I’m utterly impressed on all fronts!

Exceptional service, knowledgeable, friendly helpful staff. This store has pretty much everything you can think of and a lot of stuff you won't think of in the bicycling world. Has turned into my goto bike spot. I have nothing but praise for the staff, the store, products, all of it, a step above the rest.

Gears acted up after half a week but they did a good job on my fork seals half of my gears dont work though.

This place is awesome, I bought my bike a couple of months ago and I love it. The staff are knowledgeable and professional, and seemingly always willing/ready to help someone in the shop. They pump your tires for free, and hold the door for you and your bike when you leave, its the little things folks.
