Golestan Bakery

The attention to detail in their baked goods is remarkable. Every pastry is a work of art and you can taste the passion and dedication in every bite.

A few days ago, I made cookies from Golestan Bakery in West Vancouver and it was really delicious and I suggest everyone to try these cookies once.

Lots of great options in cakes and pastries, good coffee, nice staff, and a friendly atmosphere is the right description of Golestan bakery.

We always go to Golestan Bakery for our bakery needs, They offer a great variety of flavors, textures, and designs. Also, the items are always fresh.

Do not waste your money. I ordered 30 cupcakes ($4 per cupcake!) for my son's 12th birthday and what I picked up from the bakery is a joke. I asked for capital H's and #12 and got a product that my 2 year old could have made at home. I was so angry that they gave me $20 back, however this was still a $100 investment. Dissapointing.

Cakes, bread, and all bakery items taste superb and are priced much less than supermarket products. Golestan Bakery worth a visit for everyone who has a sweet tooth.

The delicacies offered at Golestan Bakery are such that each has its unique texture and flavor that won't be limited to the taste buds but shall cast a feeling of pleasure on the mind as well. It is a classic example of a balance of each and every ingredient to develop a perfect taste.

Great small business. The person that Hendin Robert was extremely nice and a smile. I received several different goodies I ordered from too good to go.

This place is a great place, I would highly recommend going there for breakfast or birthday cakes or anything bakery related. Enjoy.

We walked into this bakery while casually looking for hot chocolate. We found that and also picked up some tasty sweet snacks.

We had one type of baklava and a sweet bread stuffed with walnut and cinnamon. They were fresh and tasty.

Horrible experience. I was there for a visit to Vancouver and someone referred me to this place. It is a small, very small place with average pastries. I asked the lady if they have any fresh pastries and she said yes. She provided me with two to three pieces of her choice of parties and I paid like 5 bucks for them. Not only was the parties not fresh, they were extremely expensive. The place looks dark, small and very dirty. The city needs to inspect this place for rats. I guarantee you they will find a few. Over all a horrible experience.

A very nice Persian pastry shop. The place is super clean with a good assortment of fresh Persian pastries. The service is excellent and the quality of their products is great.
The prices are not cheap nor expensive.they are fair. They also take lots of care when packaging your purchase… thanks!

The owner is very rude that left a shock on my face. Seeing her outside being rude to a small business and throwing money at there face to pay for her food because she thought it was "burnt" was the most disrespectful action I witnessed. That day the store owner was going through alot that day and yet have amazing services, the 12 people that were eating had said that that food was great. She chose to be rude for no reason and yet lie. Next time please have a little respect. And when I was eating with my 2 friends and brother she was giving very rude stares at us and I didn't know who she was and neither did she know me, but yet I smiled at her being friendly since that's our respect in our culture but she gave me a very unfriendly look. As a representative of someone who was born in Iran this is very bad behavior to take please keep your cultures is respect.

Tasty treats and dessert! Best Ice cream in town, cream puffs, cakes and cakes are awesome. I have always had a pleasant experience with all of their staff. Very friendly and welcoming.

Don't go there for your birthday cake at all!
I got my birthday cake from there on Saturday, I spent $35 for a chocolate cake that they said it's for today and it's fresh! BUT IT WAS NOT FRESH AT ALL! It smelled so bad, and all the cakes layer got wet!
I felt so bad in front of my guests last night, it was so embarrassing!
I just wanted to remind the customer service:
1) Please behave with your customer with respect and patience!
2) Please tell the truth about your products!
people come to you for a good quality fresh cake for their special occasions, so don't ruin people trust!

A super cute authentic and quaint local Persian bakery in the heart of West Van and super close to the ocean is where this little gem resides.
The staff here are awesome people, extremely friendly, approachable and very talented at making delicious treats!
They offer a great extensive range of sweet based snacks, baklava and cookies as well as some on the more savory side at only $13 per lbs pix and mix style. I highly recommend giving this place a shot and indulging in some delicious Persian culture!
My favorite by far is the Shekar Pareh or the Chickpea Cookie which are both a deadly tasty combo with a coffee and sat on the beach watching the waves.
Love this joint and will definitely visit again!
They also do some very impressive looking cakes for birthdays and special occasions as well as ice creams and sorbets.

Worst worst customer service I feel horrible for the owner, train your employees to serve better

Went in a little later in the afternoon, bough a variety of small cakes and roulades, but they easily fell apart while eating, and the jelly did not look like it was made today at all. I would expect more from the prices they charge, however what we got was day old pastries, definitely not a good impression on the guests we had who ate it as well.

Visited Vancouver for first time from Seattle. The bakery reminded me all beautiful memories of Iran! I admit that I ate the most delicious and freshly made “shirinijat” here at Golestan Bakery. Moreover, the cashiers/sellers (two ladies) were so friendly, polite, and helpful. Loved this place and will definitely visit this location again.

We bought a saffron ice cream and one faloodeh, the saffron ice cream tastes like anything except for saffron. It was definitely the worst saffron ice cream I have ever tried. And faloodeh was 90% ice and 10% faloodeh. I feel like I have been tricked with my purchase. Will never return here.
