I have special needs for my glasses and had previously seen someone on the mainland for my glasses until I found Goo Goo Goggles and they are so lovely and accommodating! Not only is the in store really funky but so are the employees and they are all so sweet as well. The glasses selection is vast and there is something for everyone. I am recommending this location to everyone!

They fixed my sunglasses with a bent hinge promptly, and the staff were so friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. Not only did they provide fast service, but their wide selection of vintage 70s/80s frames caught my eye too! It's a sunglasses paradise for all the retro lovers out there. I highly recommend them for their top-notch service and fantastic eyewear collection. Thank you for taking such good care of my shades!

The best service in Victoria I've experienced. Felt so welcomed and the team helped me pick out beauty frames and we're amazing getting my glasses fitted and explained everything about my new progressives.

Went in to get two new pairs of glasses adjusted, and couldn't have been happier with the service! Everyone was so friendly, and my glasses are no longer pinching behind my ears. To top it all, the adjustments were all free of charge, which I couldn't believe. Would happily recommend to anyone looking for quality glasses or service!

Last night, the arm fell off of my eyeglasses. That arm had been loose. I could not find the screw. I do not have a spare set of glasses with the same prescription; only a pair from 8 years ago that have a weaker prescription. I feared that it might take me week to have them replaced during the era of COVID-19. I need my glasses to work at the computer.

I did a search and found Goo Goo goggles that repaired eyeglasses. I sent in an online request last night. This morning, I had a reply and an appointment time later in the morning.

I am just returning from my visit to Goo Goo Goggles. I was greeted at the door by a pleasant person who took my glasses and worked on them while I waited outside. (For those reading this in the future, during the COVID-19 pandemic, this was the norm for most establishments.)

After about 10 minutes, my glasses were ready. The arm was reattached and was no longer loose! They are like new. I will definitely return if I ever need my glasses repaired.

The arm again fell off of my reading glasses. This time, the arm broke off. I remembered the excellent service that I received from Goo Goo Goggles Optical. I called them and explained the situation to them. They invited me to bring in my glasses and they would see what they could do. They informed me that I might need to wait until the next day to receive my glasses. I was happy that it would not need to wait for a week.

I returned home and, a few hours later, I received a call that the arm was replaced by one that virtually matches the old, broken arm. I returned to the shop and inspected my glasses. I cannot easily tell the difference between the two arms of my glasses.

I am extremely pleased with the service that I received at Goo Goo Goggle Optical. My one-stop shop for all of my optical needs.

Goo Goo Goggles was such a lifesaver for me. I am from out of town and I was on Day 1 of a 14-day trip when my glasses lens fell out from an accidental trip. Goo goo was so incredibly helpful, welcoming, and kind. They fixed my glasses in under 1 hour for FREE of cost and even cleaned and offered me a free case to hold them in. They saved my trip and as someone who is immunocompromised did it all safely and inclusively. I am appreciative and indebted to them!

I had an AWESOME experience at Goo Goo Goggles last Saturday. I went with a friend to her appointment as she was picking up a new set of glasses, and I was blown away by the professionalism and the overall energy around the shop. Even though I was just looking around to kill a bit of time during her fitting, I received great advice and recommendations from the team. I felt so welcome. The glasses there are truly jewelry for the face Plus there’s a wicked selection of repurposed vintage frames. 10/10!

I needed a repair and they were able to help me very quickly, when I let them know I need them for driving they helped me out and got them back to me ASAP, the whole time being very friendly and understanding. Lovely place and always so helpful!

I read a review that said Goo Goo Goggles does magic and I had to find out if this was true. I had broken the hinge on an expensive Wissing frame and I was told by my optician that it “would be impossible to fix these and the only solution was to buy a new frame while they were on sale for 20% off”. Desolated by my broken glasses that I loved, I acquiesced and bought a new set of frames and lenses. It still didn’t seem right that perfectly good pair of glasses with a broken hinge were no longer good (I might have secretly been identifying with the glasses because I had smashed by elbow in a fall and had to elbow replacement surgery). To make a long story even longer, I looked up “glasses repair Victoria” and goo goo was the first name that came up and the word “magic” appeared in the review. With the dark state of the works these days, I thought I was due for some magic. I brought my glasses in and was greeted by a very friendly person who said most likely these can be repaired. A few days later I got a phone call saying the glasses were fixed for $35. Just for the record the new glasses were $1330. But that is a story for another time. Now I have two pairs of good glasses and experienced a little magic. You rock goo goo. ️

Went here on the recommendation of a friend. It was my first pair of glasses, and they made everything so easy! I had booked an appointment and was greeted by Rachel, who worked with me one on one.

She made it so easy! We talked about what I might be looking for in a frame (durable and fun), and she went to work picking out frames for me. With a huge selection, the experience could have been overwhelming. Instead I ended up going with one of Rachel's first recommendations. What can I say, she, she knows her glasses!

I went to Goo Goo for a pair of prescription sunglasses for my vacation. I found the perfect frames and lenses for my sunny destination. However I needed to wait till my work benefits kicked in so I gave them a cash deposit to hold them. My benefits took forever so I was communicating with them regularly. I can only say wonderful things about my personal experience with Goo Goo Goggles. I recently brought my 96 year old dad's glasses there after he suffered a fall which damaged his glasses. My father had purchased the glasses in another province before moving to BC. Despite having no prior dealings with him they promptly repaired as best they could his distorted frames. They put on new temple pieces all the while refusing to charge me anything for the repairs. They have opened a file in my Dad's name in case the repairs don't last and parts need to be ordered. Way to go Goo Goo Goggles.

I recently purchased my glasses from this shop and I couldn't be happier. I don't think I'll ever go back to shopping online for glasses.

I really appreciated the personal shopping they did for me before I ever set foot in the store. All I had to do was send them some inspiration photos and the staff selected a great assortment of glasses for me. When I arrived for my appointment all that was left was to sit down and try them on.

I have to say that the staff here have a great eye. There were many great options, and we had a beautiful pair picked out in no time. They were fast and efficient in getting approval from my insurance plan, and before I knew it they had them ordered up and I was sent on my way. The staff here are true professionals. They know exactly what they are doing, and were great at putting me at ease throughout the experience.

I'm sitting here now after getting many compliments from friends and family on my great stylish new glasses. A+, and I will be returning again.

Best glasses shop in town if you are looking for the funky or unique specs this place is SPECTacular! Exceptional customer service and wide selection of new and vintage frames. For you folks that are a little less funky then me they have a wide variety of "Normal" frames as well as sunglasses. TOP NOTCH brands. So in short get down there and find yourself the perfect frames.

What an amazing little gem this place is. My husband was able to have a vintage pair of Moscot frames that he had cleaned up, polished and fitted with new prescription lenses and they look brand new. Amazing service from this wonderful local business.

My family has now bought a few pairs of glasses from Goo Goo Goggles. Every experience has been a pleasure from beginning to end. Rachael is helpful, knowledgeable and makes the whole process a good time. They follow Covid-19 protocols extremely well, yet somehow that makes your time there feel created just for you. I can’t say enough about this wonderful business, staff and owner. I look forward to contacting them again for my next pair.

So disappointed in the service I received this week. My family purchased 3 pair of glasses late last year and had a great experience through it all. I needed a repair to the nosepiece and stopped by the shop this week. I do realize CoViD has us all doing things differently but being confronted with attitude about making an appointment and needing to leave them for 3 days could be met with a little more compassion. I didn’t want it fixed then and there and I had no issue with having to leave it. If after sales are not important, I will take the business elsewhere. Treating a customer like they are an interruption and a hassle doesn’t appeal to me as a consumer, I’m hoping maybe someone was just having a bad day!

Outstanding customer service. They helped me with a frame bought a year ago despite the fact that I moved across the country. Fast, clear and professional communication throughout. I strongly recommend them.

Creative collection of frames here has always drawn me into keeping Goo Goo Goggles as my go to place for frames also over the years I would bring my mother here too. Always have received such kind attentive service, looking for frames during the pandemic I thought would be stressful but the protocols put into place here are stress reducing and very well thought out. I am so incredibly over the moon with the service at Goo Goo Goggles! Sorry in advance for the novel of a review. Let me preface that I thought looking for new glasses was going to be fun, but instead, it had been the biggest frustration. No other frames were comparing to my old ones, and I went back to my original glasses shop last to see if they could reorder the frames. They could, which was a huge relief, but I decided to try Goo Goo because I had always been curious about their funky style.

When I first walked in, the person over the counter asked if I wanted help to look for glasses or wanted to be left alone, which is amazing! I feel as though so many shops don't give you breathing space to do your own shopping and it feels uncomfortable. After looking by myself for a bit, I felt comfortable enough to ask for some assistance. Rachel was awesome enough to inform me of an event coming up related to one of the brands in store, and then took me through affordable options that worked with my insurance. After having walked through several shops, all with choices that felt lukewarm, I finally found a pair of frames that spoke to me with Rachel's help. I had forgotten about my original frames, and was excited to be wearing the new ones from Mascot!

The frames in the shop vary from the $200 - $500 range, and they have some incredibly gorgeous choices. Some of the Japanese brands were on the more expensive end (but were also much classier and sleek), while Mascot and a few vintage pairs were easier to work with for my insurance limit. While on a smaller end for a store, it felt super cozy and no one hovered over my shoulder.

I'm really looking forward to picking up my new glasses in a week or so's time! Thank you to the lovely folks at Goo Goo!

I can't speak highly enough for the customer service and product I received at Goo Goo Goggles. I came in and admitted that I was very financially constrained, and rather than trying to upsell me on features I didn't need, they kept finding ways to get the price more affordable. I ended up with quality frames and lenses for 1/2 the price the competition had quoted me, perfectly fit and tuned to my needs. But above and beyond the financial considerations, the customer service was just so kind, generous and professional, and I love how LGBTQ+ positive the staff and business is. My cleaning cloth was even a Pride flag! I can't recommend this business enough, I really can't, especially if you are a member of the Queer community. But even if you are not, this is a business you can trust to meet your needs without engaging in predatory sales tactics such as Lens Crafters and the like. Even the turnaround on my lenses was lightning fast, and the support I've received for tuning and the like as I've gone in since has been exceptional and free, and everytime the staff recognized me and was incredibly friendly. My only frustration is that I can't give 10 stars!

I went to fix a nose pad part of my glasses. The lady who fixed it was so nice and kind! I would definitely come again! Thank you again.

Amazing! Fixed my glasses G R A T I $ because they were able to find a vintage leggy for them. Sang me a song when I came to pick them up. Glasses were fixed <overnight> and they remembered me! I am astounded. Just truly lovely folks in a super cool spot. I recommend 11 times out of 10. Good.

I broke my glasses on the weekend and showed up at Goo Goo Goggles on Monday my glasses in my hand. Distraught would not be too strong a word to describe my mood. The team sprung into action. The floor person started helping me find a new frame, while the store manager frantically flipped through every drawer in the place to find me a cheap pair of frames to hold my current lenses. An hour later my distraught was gone; in its place a perfectly fine frame holding me old lenses, awesome new frame and an appointment for an updated optical prescription. Amazing! Thank you so much Goo Goo. You made more than my day.

All time favourite eyewear place on the island. From prescription eyewear to custom sunglasses, the staff at Goo Goo have you covered. Excellent assortment of frames (including some very rare brands and designs). The expertise and knowledge offered at this establishment is second to none.

Kind of get the feeling that the staff love to be there, love eyewear and would love to help you love your eyewear. Do yourself a favour and visit Goo Goo Goggles first, before visiting any other optical place in Victoria.

Very friendly staff that helps you find the glasses you want. This store had the best prices for blue light lenses (for screens) I only have to pay 50 and the other place was trying to charge me 200!

The Goo Goo Goggles team and myself spent likely in the neighbourhood of 5 hours over the course of a month picking out new frames. Everytime I came in, even when Nigel the dog had other plans and I had to go alone, it was like picking up where we left off with friends who are super into glasses. There's no pressure to grab a pair of glasses and go, and the staff's opinions are honest and helpful. If you're a first time glasses buyer, or a veteran wearer, these kind folk will take great care of you.

They will put sunglass lenses in any of their vintage frames for a reasonable price. Recently I brought in a pair of glasses I didn't even purchase there and they replaced the nose pads on the spot for free! Great service and very friendly staff.

I’ve been coming to this place for years now, and have been through the process of getting four different prescriptions glasses. Sam and the other women here are fantastic, truly a joy to deal with and totally committed to customer satisfaction.
It’s a small store, but packed with creative and original eye ware.

If you’re as hard on your classes as I am, you want a team of people that stand behind their products. These guys have fixed my glasses that have been smashed, through the wash (literally!) and always in a very courteous professional and prompt manner.

I was visiting Victoria for the first time and my friend was eager to show me this store since I just graduated from Optometry school. I was not disappointed! The staff were super friendly. Although I didn't purchase a pair of glasses, I was Very excited when I saw these cute little glasses keychains (they're made from the extra material left after making real glasses!) I've never found anything quite like them and I must've returned to the store about 3 times because I kept thinking of optometry friends or friends back home that would love them (I ended up buying around 16 pairs of them as souvenirs and think the girls at the store will forever know me as the "keychain girl")

It was my last day in Victoria on one of my visits, and I wanted recommendations for where to go. One of the staff was kind enough to tell me her favourites from where to find fun postcards to where to go for lunch.
