If the equipments are broken, it takes them weeks before they fixed them. One of the ladies deserves to be fired.

This gym is ridiculously too busy…
Every single day! Morning, afternoon…night… I would avoid this location if I had an alternative.

These guys are awesome. Super laid back staff, and its never packed no matter when I do. Lots of equipment to use whether you're an avid gym goer or just starting to get in to it. Would definitely recommend!

When they were discriminating against customers they didn't give me a refund for the dates they refused service so I was paying for a membership I couldn't use. Said they would open the sauna again which was a lie, they never did in the time I was a member (got the feeling they didn't want to clean it as saunas were open everywhere else including spas and community centres). It has potential but as soon as a coorperation steals money from me they're not worth the risk. I do not recommend this gym. There's gyms out there that have morals when it comes to their clients and are honest. I put integrity first.

Be warned. Goodlife greed now rips off drop- ins for $25 + tax. Go to fitness world marine gateway. It’s $10

Edit: $25 is still greedflation, goodlife. Spin it any way you want. Just like you jacked up your corporate rates.

Great location to work out but unfortunately, some cardio equipments are broken for more than half year.

Nice place, friendly and awesome staff, equipments are quite diverse alsoit can be quite busy at peak hours but still not bad

This gym used to be $44 a month and now it's $75, they nearly doubled the price. I tried the drop in to see if I wanted to reinstate my membership and the same equipment that was broken is still there like 3 years later and not a single thing has been upgraded, literally nothing has improved or it has gotten worse. The men's Sauna is disgusting too and their hours have shortened even though it says 24hour on the side of the building. This Fake Woke company Greedflated their prices and Shrinkflated the quality of what you get. There is at least 2 other gyms within a few blocks radius that charge either 1/4 of the price or 1/2 the price with similar hours and the same or better equipment that is better maintained.

Stay away, there's a guy at this gym that picks fight with everyone and the staff can't do anything about it.

It's a little more expensive than other gyms nearby. However, it is 24 hours (except Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). AS OF MARCH 1 2022, THEY WILL BE OPEN 24/7 again!

The equipment is in good shape. A thing I have noticed is that 50% of the tvs on the equipment do not work, but who cares. They have lots of other neat Amenities like steam rooms, saunas, massage chairs, tanning beds, and lots of exercise classes. The place is massive.

As I write this review I’m currently waiting for the 24hr gym to open, as I ponder my thoughts I question this establishment, and their lack of leadership, I’ve read multiple reviews and no action has been taken, just false promises. You say you’ll contact the manger staff, but you don’t care, you only care about what it looks like on paper. The people writing you bad reviews are your u most loyal members, and you completely disregarded their concerns. None of the equipment gets fixed, like previously said. The mens sauna is disgusting and looks like it has not been cleaned in years, it is falling apart. GoodLife it’s time you take ownership of your mistakes, you lack empathy towards your members, and their concerns. Stop promoting contest and trips, no one cares, we just want a gym to run the way you claim. Thank you.

P. S if you’re gonna reply with “well contact our manger staff” I think it’s time to clean house and get some new management that cares! They clearly don’t have the leadership skills to run a gym of this calibre.

Put my bags, wallet, keys in the change room’s locker. After exercising, returned to find that the lock was gone and everything inside was taken out. My things were stolen. Staff did not help. Manager was unhelpful. Was not compensated. Things were not returned. Luckily my car was still there. Worst gym ever. Seriously, avoid at all cost.

The gym itself is pretty good. There aren't many decent gyms in the Vancouver area other than goodlife and golds. Goodlife Metrotown is very busy usually. Golds Poco or Langley might be too far for many. Golds Broadway and UBC aren't worth mentioning.

My only complaint about northgate is the unusual number of dirt pigs that despite COVID having just closed the gyms, haven't learned yet to wash their hands or wear deodorant.

I'm not from Vancouver but have noticed the ghetto vibe is quite strong in this city but it's still no excuse. They should really put up signs for the life skilled impaired that make up a large portion of this city.

Nice gym though. They can't really help the citidiots.

Used to be my main gym.
Switched to a better gym because (a) they never updated the barbells and added more platforms like other locations were doing, and (b) they never brought back their old hours after the pandemic (even though the sign still says "24 hours").
Probably the worst GoodLife location in the local area.
Hope they can improve in the future so I can change this review and start going there regularly again.

This is the best gym I've ever been to! Staff is amazing and so friendly! A very welcoming environment, they really care about their members. Looks like a really taken care of facility, the hours are incredible. 110% would recommend if you are thinking of joining a gym, they even do complimentary 1 day trails, so if your gym shopping around definitely a place to stop by.

Good gym to get your work out done at. Can get busy at peak hours and when I say busy, it's like going to the club on a weekend

I like this branch due to its incredibly convenient location. Staff are always super friendly and nice. I noticed a lot of the ellipticals in the women's areas are not working properly (they don't stay turned on to track calories or resistance), so those need to be updated.

Joined the gym last year as I was looking for a 24/7 gym. Was told that the limited hours were only temporary. Was given reassurances that come Jan 2022 the staffing issue will be sorted. 6 months later, nothing has changed. Avoid at all costs.

1 star review for continuing to charge us full price but reducing the clubs hours. It’s a good gym but if you’re gonna charge us $66 a month at least give us what we paid for.
