Shawn was very helpful and made our experience of designing our home a pleasant one. Unfortunately once our house was delivered it took much longer then we were told before it was ready to move in but overall appreciate the craftsmanship and would recommend Gordon homes to anyone looking for a manufactured home.

Good home, bad company. Buyer beware.

Edit: Shortly after posting this review we received an aggressive and borderline abusive phone call from a Gordon's representative. To the owner, you can be sure that we have been in contact many times since April and either we keep being told to be patient, or else we just never get a call back. If your staff told you we haven't contacted you since April, they're lying to you. At any rate, if you really care about customer satisfaction, you have our number. Talk is cheap, let's see some action.

Original Review:
My parents ordered a 27x66 modular home in late 2020. When it arrived, Gordon's initially placed it backwards on the foundation and had to remove and reinstall the home. The walls sustained significant cracking during the process that had to be repaired. Payment in full was required before we were allowed to inspect the interior of the home, but when we finally did get access we observed a large number of warranty issues.

These issues included: faulty tile installation, incomplete finishing, electrical issues, and numerous other unfinished details (15-20 issues in all). Gordon's promised resolution in 30 days, which then stretched to 2 months, and now 8 months later some issues are still not resolved. During the process we have had many issues with poor workmanship requiring some repairs to be redone (e.g. Backsplash tile had to be replaced twice) and general issues with Gordon's crews not showing up when they say they will, or leaving after just a few minutes without doing any work.

The gas fireplace installation also took 2-3 weeks and 2 different crews because the first ones were not prepared/capable.
After they completed the installation we had a dangerous gas leak into the interior of the house. The fire department advised us to turn off the gas and evacuate immediately, which we did, but when we called Gordon's they refused to come and take a look at it. The root cause of the leak was found to be the fireplace that Gordon's had just installed.

In addition to the issues with the home itself, we were repeatedly pressured to sign off on the warranty even though the issues were not resolved. The office staff were rude and openly lied to us on some occasions. Getting anyone to return a phone call or address an issue is extremely difficult.

Overall, while the home itself is comfortable and we are quite happy with it (other than the remaining warranty issues), we would never do business with Gordon's again because the entire experience has been very frustrating and time-consuming.

Jeff Wagner has been wonderfully helpful and easy to deal with. The company install has been flawless so far and they even helped us with our tenancy agreement. Truly impressed with the fit and finish in our new home. This company is so easy to deal with they already feel like family.

Everyone at Gordon’s Homes has been incredibly friendly, supportive and accommodating during the process. Even before spending a dime or committing to anything, everyone frequently made time to squeeze us into their already busy days to answer questions and address our concerns. I highly recommend everyone at Gordon’s Homes for their knowledge, attention to detail and friendliness! They’re a pleasure to work with!

Four years ago my husband and I bought a 44’ park model to put on our lot at resort on the lake Nanaimo B. C
The professionals who brought and placed the house in our lot were super! Not to mention the, at the time, 26 year old who backed the truck down a narrow street to place our home, he was fearless and did an excellent job in the pouring rain.
The last four years have been toasty warm with a well insulated home, and if I have a con in this home it is only that we had to replace the noisey furnace with a Rinnai gas heater, which is fortis approved and sometimes cooks us out if we’re not careful. Extremely economical way of living though and would recommend instead of travel trailer living, at the same price.
All in all, a wonderful purchase which fit the need at this time in our life.

My wife and I have owned and lived in nice homes and in great places for the last 50 years – in Asia, Europe, and North America.

We bought our current home from Gordon’s Homes in 2016. It was custom built to our specification. From date or order to delivery and installation complete with appliances, blinds, decks, was 3 months!

It is the best home we have ever enjoyed by any measure especially value and factory-built quality control. It is just what we needed to downsize and live a simpler more practiucal affordable life.

We love it and are most grateful to Jeff Wagner and Gordon’s Homes staff for such great service.

Working with Gordon Homes was a pleasure. Jeff was extraordinarily helpful throughout the process. The sales staff, the owner and the set up crew were all very invested in the success of this project. I am not sure I would have been successful working with any other dealer. I love my house and have found that the quality of construction is better than stick built homes I have owned. I would definitely go this route again. In my area I would have had to wait for at least a year to get a contractor to even start building a house for me. Thank you Gordon Homes!

I purchased my Kelowna home in Mar 2018. Everything went great at the beginning, however It’s been almost two years and I’m still waiting for some warranty work to be done which had been reported before the first year was up. I have cracks from
settling and was told it would be done when they were in my area. I have also had caulking come through ALL my trim so it looks like the trim was painted messy. (this didn’t show up right away). When I contacted Gordon Homes I was told that there was an issue with the supplier in the factory and it would be covered under warranty. This was in the Spring of 2018 (I provided quotes and waited to hear back). We are now in Feb 2020 and after a few email attempts I have not had any return phone calls.

I tried to by a Cape Cod style house with dormer windows a few years back, but he sold it right from under me to a friend of his, a guy named Norris. That's a few years back, but I promised myself to never go back or deal with this guy.

My husband and I have always wanted to build our own retirement home.
We bought our property and looked into building it.
We were disappointed to find out financially we couldn't afford to do it.
Then we met we met Jeff Wagner at Gordon Homes.
He came to our property immediately to see if a modular home could be considered.
My husband is a carpenter so Jeff.worked his magic with him and now we are having our dream home built. I will keep you posted on this journey and delivery.

My wife and I went the modular route because we had a baby on the way and timeline was important.
We were happy with the notion it would be built to B. C.building code.
However, even though the homes are built with jigs many window trims are not parallel with the ceiling. The half of flooring we did in vinyl/linoleum came factory direct, but it’s just loose laid and not glued to the plywood floor. The bathroom piece is not square with the wall. The remaining laminate was picked up day of install from the store and not allowed to acclimate for two weeks before install. Things you can live with but identifies things are not done to best practice.
We have two exterior doors that do not seal well, one installed at the factory and one by the on site installers. Gordon’s has known about these for over 12 months and yet done nothing to fix it.
The ceiling seams on the drywall are visible and still to be fixed.
Five weeks ago we found wasps in the attic and contacted Gordon’s. We still have not had someone inspect the situation, let alone contact us as to when they may. Meanwhile we have no stove fan because it turns out the vent pipe was not actually attached to the roof pipe in the factory, allowing wasps free reign in the attic space.
Jeff sold us the product, Dave helped with many questions, and Sandra helped with picking out materials. After finalizing the plans and putting a deposit down we discovered the sales team did not have the same information as the installers. We were told temp power was not necessary, and yet our finishing job was pushed back because the drywaller needed power. We were told the two halves would be nailed to a ledger on the mate wall to secure it to the foundation, and yet the installers had to come back to do so at which point we were informed they had not done that on any previous jobs.
To end the long story, the complication of having factory people, sales people, install people, finishing people, and sub trades that are on different pages made the ‘simplicity’ of a modular home more difficult than a stick framed structure. And I would say for the quality of finishings available the modular was no cheaper than a stick built house (note the Gordon’s marketing uses the exterior footprint not the actual finished interior square footage).
The team was great at getting the deal ready, but poor customer service after the money changed hands.
