Gorilla Surplus Army Surplus Store

I bought a hpa adapter for my airsoft pistol on their website I went to go use it in my gun the minute I put it in and turned on the hpa it blew up it destroyed my gun and I got huge bruises all over my chest from the adapter hitting me as it exploded I called to see if I could return it or get it fixed they put me on hold for a hour and then they told me they couldn’t do anything bye and have since ignored everyone of my calls. I will never shop here again.

The staff here are my favorite part of the shopping experience. They are knowledgeable and friendly. I have purchased some lovely knives, cool patches and survival gear all at a great price.

Came in to look at Schott peacoats. They left me alone to try on different sizes which is how I like it. They didn’t have the size/colour I wanted so I ordered online and it arrived in 2 days. They are even selling them cheaper than if you order direct from Schott ($400 CAD vs $360 USD). Great experience.

Don’t let the outside fool you As other said lots of items to choose from, and things u wouldn’t think they would have (see picture). Parking can be tricky but what place doesn’t have this issue in Vancouver. Milly is the BEST sale PURRson ever! When we first met her well see picture but; What a unique shopping experience we had with her! After we gave her much needed attention. She took us down isle and talking our ear off randomly sale pitching us on different items, as she made her way down the isle. We were smiling and giggling as she meow and look back at us making sure We were paying attention and still with her.

Decent store with plenty of different choice in gear, uniforms, clothing, attachments and even airsoft.

Visited with my boyfriend today! He was looking for a battery for his Airsoft gun and the staff were very helpful in helping him find the right stuff.

We ended up having to exchange the battery he got for the correct connector, which went very smoothly.

While I was waiting for him to shop, the other staff member let me try shooting a BB gun, which was really fun:)

Been going here since I can remember as a kid, took my husband and kids here today and it hasn't changed except for the new owners but gotten better, staff always top notch service and amazing gear drop a fair amount of money today and couldn't be happier with our out come in products. Every time I’m looking for something, I actually stop and ask myself is this something that Gorilla Surplus might sell? I broke my knee a while back and bought the perfect cane from them. Wanted to find a great Father’s Day gift, found an excellent BB gun there for him. Wanted a. 43 cal paintball/rubber ball launcher, found the perfect one at Gorilla. I think you get the picture. Everyone there has always been very help with loads of good advice. Great place, great people and confidently recommended.

I bought baton on line from gorilla surplus.it is well made and works perfectly. I was totally blown away how fast it was deliverd to me. Who does that!

The worst place to shop for guns. The staff seemed uninterested in making a sale. It was as if someone was holding them at a gun point to be in the store. Maybe it was the weather, but it felt like they did not want to be there. I was looking to buy a nice Beretta but I guess I will have to go somewhere else. Here is the kicker tho, the employee or the manager at front said they do not offer Veteran's discount, and the employee inside said they do. This experience was bad, the employees were of no help. I would not recommend this place. You can prolly get a better bang for your buck at other places!

When I lived in Coquitlam I used to drive all the way to Gorilla because I loved it so much. I bought my youngest his first paint ball gun there how he loved that.he was 8 years old he is 26 now and still has it! And love the tuxedo kitty there I remember the soldier out front. I miss my beloved Vancouver so much and my Gorilla Surplus!

This experience was hilarious! I am referring to their customer service. I wanted to buy both a pepper spray and a knife for self-defence. A store representative recommended the weirdest looking smallest looking knife like a tiny claw and he said I could carry it on my neck (?) - but so be it! However, in regards to the ones that I liked, he said he didn't recommend them and didn't try to take them out and show them to me, LOL!
Instead, I got lectured by both store representatives that a knife will be used against me in 99% of cases unless you are a martial arts pro and it might even be illegal to carry some knives or weapons, and it's best to have a super small knife so your opponent won't notice it when you take it out, LOL and SIGH.
No matter how I wanted to buy a knife, I was not given an opportunity to do so. If I was the store owner, I would sell me at least 2 knives LOLOL. I mean, you are here to sell - not to moralize, I suppose?
Maybe it's because I am a woman?
Because when I was buying a pepper spray, the store representative recommended a pink one LOL and I got yet another lengthy explanation how it can go off inside a woman's purse, I didn't even have a purse on me. I hardly ever carry a purse, LOLOLOL.
As for the pepper spray - next time I will just buy it on Amazon if I need to - pepper sprays seem to be cheaper there anyways and Amazon reps don't tell me stories at least. BAHAHAH! It was hilarious:)

Read some poor reviews of the shipping regarding this company, was told my item would be shipped in 24-48 hours and it was shipped in 24 hours. I then received the actual product earlier than expected. Super happy with my purchase, will definitely shop here again

Okay, so, I went here with my friends, and I can't even express how much we loved this place. It had everything to our interest, and we plan to get some stuff soon. This is the best store for airsoft gear, airsoft guns, knives, etc. I love this place, and, the people. I love the workers. One guy was super funny and just generally amazing to speak to from the start for help and he even got me hooked into idea of purchasing something from there. Best store I've ever entered. I love the people, easy selection, clean and understandable. You can hold and feel the weapons, which honestly, was better than I could've imagined, which further encouraged me to purchase something. This store is amazing, 10/10 customer service, 10/10 selection, 10/10 overall, amazing experience.

Worst customer service they couldn't deliver my order so they told me i had to pay again to receive it or pay to get a refund and he told me you can call back if u want and he hung up

These amazing people were very accommodating to my family and I.
Our daughter who was having a hissy, was soon calmed by the promise of cat pets, ended up enjoying her time, and our son came out thrilled with his new camouflage.

A decent selection of gear and green stuff without the smell of decay I usually associate with surplus stores. Their knife and Airsoft collection is sufficient.

Don't order from Gorilla Surplus online. Most products say "Ships in 24-48 hours", but that's a lie. They don't. The customer service side is poor to non-existent. I ordered a bunch of stuff for a birthday party for my kid. When I placed the order I assumed that the package was on its way in 48 hours. I got an email 10 days later that it had finally shipped which was surprising because the birthday was happening soon. Then when I received the package, only half my order was there. There was no note. No email. So I contacted them and they said oh, yeah, sorry, our inventory was wrong. When I complained about their lack of communication during the process, they got kind of annoyed saying hey, we ship a ton of stuff, so our inventory can't be perfect. You know, I understand that inventory management can be difficult, but sending emails about shipping delays and inventory issues is not. So now I have a party that's lacking the speciality items I need and no time to backfill the order. To their credit, they gave me a partial refund for the items. On some level though, I'd rather them invest that into not being such jerks.

Mark and D are very helpful and make it work for you while you are in the store, if they do not have it they will fined it for you.

Terrible online customer service they don't even reply back to you when you email them purchased an order with a vanilla pre paid master card it charged my card so I figured it worked and threw the card out. A few days later I get an email saying the order was declined because of an avs failure saying my address wasn't correct.which it was.

Placed an online order on the 26 Dec, received no confirmation the order had been placed yet money came out my account the following day.

Emailed Gorilla Surplus 3 times, no response on all counts.

Called Gorilla Surplus 3 times, each time to be given a different response as to why my order was delayed.

9 Feb, order finally arrives.

If Gorilla Surplus hopes to rely more on e-commerce business they should invest heavily in better online user experience and learn the basics of customer service.

Awesome store, awesome staff, hilarious atmosphere (I love the signage). They will also go out of their way to locate specific items.

I ordered a Butterfly knife trainer to Toronto over a month ago in November for a Christmas gift, and when I filled out the online store I entered my address. Fast forward a whole 3 weeks and I come to find out that the package is being sent back to the sender because the order was missing my house number. I inquired with to the customer service and they helped me send another order WITH the extra charge of 16 dollars. I was charged 16 dollars EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THEI WEBSITE AND COMPANY THAT MISDID THE ORDER! Regardless I paid and rendered the address through the customer service representative. I left it and later my order was on the way. It is now December 22nd. Almost two months since I made the order, and today I find out that my order is being sent back for, guess what, ANOTHER ORDER PROBLEM BECAUSE THE WEBSITE FORGOT TO ENTER MY ADDRESS! I am livid. There is still a chance my order my be sent to me but I am not hopeful. Truly terrible service.

Great customer service! They matched a Canadian online stores price for me which was great and I was able to walk out the store happy with what I wanted!

We went in the second time the other day and we order a bunch of different smoke bombs and I don't think the guy behind the desk cared because we didn't get the colours we asked for and got over charged as well!

It's a vary good local store bought two cm-16 raiders and sunset that guy figured it's the first airsoft gun gave us two batteries and chargers and if the owner sees this what are the prices of the gas masks but would recommend

Went in the store in search of triglides for my ruck. They didnt charge me for the pair. Always great service when I stop in at the store. Bought most of my packs from them.

I came in to exchange a item I have purchased for more then $500 after tax. When Mike helped me out he was going to make the exchange how ever started asking me questions and then telling me “all customers are sneaky, and your being sneaky by trying to exchange it. I have just literally purchased the item 1 hr before. VERY VERY unprofessional and unacceptable! Stay away they have very bad customer service and not to mention the prices are ridiculous compared to the competitors. Giving a 1 is being generous. Stay away and go to another store that is willing to help and compare prices.

Was not pleased with my service from this company. Zaid from gorilla surplus brushed off helping me track down my package because they gave the shipping company a different address.his reply was "i hope you found your package" after i asked for assistance in looking into it.cant recommend after customer service like that.i eventually had to go pick up my package myself.

5 STAR PLUS. The example others could follow. Our family pinned this supply outlet as the go to for what ever was needed for our children and parents alike. Cadets the three of them passed through the ranks over the years with Gorilla Surplus providing whatever the endeavours at hand. A family feel from the first time from the staff. A wealth of knowledge shared from staff to our children over the years are memories never forgotten. Simply enquire / ask, They always made sure we managed to find what we were looking for, If they did not have, they were so kind to recommend other sources. Now thats a confident caring establishment. We have said thank you each time we visited and here as well, so others can know what to expect.

I noticed some people have had problems shopping online with Gorilla and their orders not coming in on time. I did not have this problem at all. I'm from Ontario and my order came in after 1 week. I would have given Gorilla 5 stars but I did not get a tracking number sooner. The tracking number was emailed on the day the package arrived. I'll shop here again. Thanks guys.

The people that run this store are incredibly nice. They were very helpful to me when I was picking up gear for my first time going to play airsoft and later my brother as well. They guided us away from gear we didn't need while pointing us in the direction of the stuff we did. I'm so glad we have such a wide selection of guns and gear to chose from otherwise I would have had to look online, witch is not ideal. I will be picking up another gun soon to replace my cm16. I know exactly where I will go.

I had ordered an MA-1 bomber jacket from Gorilla Surplus, seeing as we dont have a Surplus store here In Kingston, Ontario with the type of authentic Bomber jacket i was looking for. I had found Gorilla Surplus online and figured with the jacket i was looking for being on sale at a good price that I would give them a try. I always get nervous ordering anything online because of not knowing of the authenticity or sizing of the item and if it would fit, the only downfall is they didnt have a size chart before i purchased, but would not hold that against them. I made a phone call to the main store in BC and spoke to a nice girl there that had reassured me that the sizing is almost exact as to what size i usually wear and the jacket is authentic, and she was accurate with what she told me, It was everything i could hope for almost like is was built just to fit me! Surplus lovers rejoice. This place has been a great spot for military surplus and outdoor gear for years, now under new ownership some were concerned things would change. But it's still more or less the same Gorillas it always was, with the addition of a bunch of airsoft guns and new display cases. Known the manager for years, good guys.

Fun place to get dog party stuff and s real pseudo military and camping stuff. A always get my camouflage tarps from there.
