Great Place with an awesome Professor. I have been practicing for around 8 months and i can say i learned a lot. There are also great training partners, and i 100% recommend it.

Very strong kids program with Professor and coaches that take training and progress seriously all while having fun. Same goes for the adults program. A great group of people and very welcoming to everyone and anyone. Highly recommend!

My daughter goes here and it has been the best experience of her. The professor is also a dad and knows how to teach, support, and mentor children. My daughter loves her BJJ classes and always asks when she can go back next.

The professor is friendly, and my son enjoyed his teaching style. That said, the management is disorganized, uncommunicative, and unprofessional.
Their studio recently relocated, and when we were notified 1 week prior to their move that the new location is no longer in Steveston, we withdrew from the program because commuting to central Richmond is not realistic for us. They insisted on a 2-month tuition penalty fee since we did not give them 2 months' notice, which was not possible since we were only told 1 week before changing locations.
When I had brought these concerns up, management claimed to have sent emails that were never received on our end. It's disappointing to experience this at a Gracie Barra location, which reflects poor management rather than the instruction itself.

Both my kids go here and the Professor has been so great with both of them. His instruction is excellent and he is so patient with the kids. I highly recommend their program.

I signed myself and my 5 year old Son up for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu here just over 2 months ago and so far we love it! The Professor is an amazing Black Belt who is very patient with his students and excellent with kids. This is a very family friendly environment. We have been made to feel welcome from day one. They provide classes for all levels. I would recommend this gym to anyone!
