Had high hopes for this place, but to everyone’s point - super slow with very mid food.

Clean environment and very spacious. Menu is more sweet and breakfast dish.

I love curry, so I ordered the Butter Chicken. The curry is mild sweet and non spicy. Very smooth and creamy. The chicken are strips of chicken breast, cooked nice and juicy. Will go back to have it again!

Friendly staff, clean place and even better location in a street with small community vibes. However taste and service can definitely be improved.

Tried the souffle pancakes and they were very light and fluffy. They are not meant to be super sweet. It’s definitely not “filling” compared to the usual waffle/pancake places. The french toast was just OK, nothing special. Would just order pancakes next time.
Service was very friendly and welcoming. Comfy seats and spacious setting. No boosters or high chair incase you were needing one.

We got the Apple and Tea Cream pancakes as an afternoon snack, and it was light and delicious! Definitely enjoyed the taste and texture, and glad to be able to try this restaurant and location now that it is open. Of course, you have to pay a premium for the special fluffy pancakes, and apparently if a batch of those pancakes isn’t ready, you may need to wait until the next batch is prepared. If you’re willing to spend a little more for the experience, it definitely tastes good, and worth trying if you’ve never had this style of pancake before, but maybe not the place one would go regularly due to the price point.

Beautiful and bright space in the heart of Kerrisdale! I was looking for a dessert venue to host an event for 20 people and Steven and his team were very accommodating from the planning process up until the day of (yesterday). All of the attendees reported a positive experience and we were able to preorder food & drinks beforehand. We were also given a discount for any takeout pancakes after the event. Definitely my favourite Gram location and will be back!

This newly open Japanese pancake cafe in Kerrisdale has eventually arrived after a very long “Coming Soon” since more than one year. Located in the W41 Avenue, the cafe is very spacious.

Today I tried their Chili Bean set with regular pancakes, sausage and green salad. Generally speaking it met my expectation as a cafe in soft launch phase I would like to see their improvements in making the pancakes - the pancakes are quite dry, the potato in the green salad is slightly undercooked. Knowing the Japanese cafes usually serve iced water, but it would be good if warm water can be served in Winter.

The ambiance is generally comfy and bright. BGM is not too loud. The Japanese servers are cheerful and polite. I can see they are under training but they are doing great.

I’d like to try their signature soufflé pancakes in my next visit and looking forward to seeing the improvements in full launch.

Premium pancakes were incredible and caramelized bananas were excellent. Great space and very friendly service. 5/5 experience. Thanks:)

Stopped by as I saw that it was open after having been under renovations for a while. I got the tiramisu pancakes with the 2 dollar fluffy option upgrade and a lavender latte.

The pancakes were delicious, though I would have preferred a little more cream as there was a LOT of pancake, and the latte was rich and very lavendery.

The decor in the cafe was bright and open, seems like it could be a great date spot or just to relax.

I really wanted to like this place because the decor and ambience is so nice, the cafe itself is super cute. But the pancakes fell completely flat for me, they were way too dense and basically a cakey texture. Granted, they did not advertise their name as soufflé pancakes. But that was implied by their photos and I was super disappointed when they came out and was nothing like actual soufflé pancakes. The texture was completely off.
I wouldn’t recommend their espresso either, it was overly bitter because it was burnt.

Been waiting for this joint for almost 2 years.
Tried it today, worth the wait. Their pancakes are fluffy and their choice of meat was amazing. Coffee was spot on as well.
I like how they use real maple syrup and not fake ones. They do charge for extra maple syrup though, but can’t blame them. Those are expensive. Overall great experience! Service and coffee are on point too.
