Grand View Szechuan Restaurant

First time I tired this place was the other night and I’m not lying it’s the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in my entire life. 10/10 would recommend.

Really incredible takeout. The vegetarian options are flavorful and GREAT portions! Enough for lunch tomorrow after dinner tonight. Don’t miss this delicious spot!

EDIT: After our second takeout experience I’m having second thoughts. We were offered a free item that was not included in our order and the beef I ate made me sick. Not sure we’ll be going back.

My favorite restaurant for 16 years when I lived near Fraser. Still travel from Port Moody to eat there sometimes. We had many happy family dinners there too at the round table. My favorite dish is the rock cod and tofu hot pot…

Very nice owners/staff, and it's a family restaurant. They truly care about their customers and have been in the business for many, many years. The atmosphere is laid back, warm, and cosy. We could truly relax.

Their food is fresh and flavourful. They were kind enough to accommodate our requests and granted the dinner combo for dine in, which was plentiful and delicious. Their chili oil is also made in house, and you can taste the garlic in it, which was a delight.

We will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness!

Awesome! Best Chinese food I have probably ever had. Was spicy and with flavour. We had the food and usually we have to put extra hot sauce or something else but it was just perfect. Definitely would go again.

Would recommend! Best Chinese food in the world! They have a wide selection of vegetarian food and all was delicious. Generous portions and the owner was so hospitable and kind.

We had Grand View tonight and were treated like family. The food was authentic, delicious, large portions and the service was awesome! Highly recommended. Our party was half vegetarian and half meat eaters and everyone was very pleased.

Had a great experience dining in! The food was great! I like the vegetarian options some places may not offer. If you like it not just spicey, but flavourful you have come to the right place! Hot and sour soup, super yummy in my tummy. General Tso chicken, yes please! Lemon chicken can't say no to it! Who likes fried rice! I do, I do! The parking around the area isn't bad. They do have a few spots in the back but you will have to walk around to enter.

Ordered from skip yesterday at 5: 14pm, they handle their own delivery and I waited over an hour and a half for bland wonton soup with off putting wontons. The chow mein was disgusting and had this clear sauce all over it which made it inedible. Their breaded almond chicken rubbery.worst birthday dinner ever take a guess why I'm writing this at 3: 40am, save yourself the money and avoid this place unless you like having to get up throughout the night to use the toilet.

Unexpectedly one of the best Chinese food experiences I've had in Vancouver in a long time. Falling somewhere between the giant pretense of the fancy fine dining chinese restaurants, and the greasy spoon wonton houses Grandview Szechuan has found a home somewhere in the middle. Walking that fine line in the middle where so many others fail the have managed to deliver great tasting quality food with large portions at a reasonable price. Best of all they appeal to a wide range of pallets, from traditional to dishes geared to the more 'western' flavor, everyone will find something they enjoy.

This place is added to "The List" and well worth getting off the couch and picking up for. We unfortunately are out of their delivery radius but if you're not you don't even have to leave the house to enjoy the joys this hidden gem offers.

Give it a try I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
