I am very disappointed at this place. I got severely sick after I had the food. I couldn’t swallow anything after a few bites and ended up going to see doctors a couple times until I fully recovered. The food is not clean and table was not wiped well. The food is very pricy too with only a few ingredients we picked. I felt disgusted eating there. Will never come back again.

I did not eat here personally, just the driver. My wife and 5 of her relatives did two nights. Food must have been great to want to go back a second night in a row on vacation.

Updated: Grandma Liu has expanded their selections significantly. Was quite pleased to find new veggies, proteins and more!

This place is my best favorite Chinese restaurant! They always serve really delicious food, great service.

Today, the restaurant was very busy tho, staffs service was great. Food taste is of course amazing! That’s why I don’t have food pic haha when I eat here’s meal, that always makes me forgot to take a pic of food. Cuz really delicious!

I love coming here for a hot noodle soup. The flavour combo is great and not overly spicy. I always have had friendly service here. From the outside it looks closed a lot of the times because they pull down the blinds.

The ordering system is simple you just pick all your ingredients by weight. I love that there is a serve yourself area for cups, bowls, rice, sauces, cutlery etc, even take out containers! You can easily tally up $20-$30 for a noodle soup. But it is also sharing friendly so it is probably enough for two people.

Any ingredients I can choose and pickup spicy level.the end I have a avory malatang pot.so delicious and great food order system.

Well, the service might not be excellent though I still like here, and this spot is my favourite for malatang 여기 마라탕 먹으러 자주 가요 맛있어요! This was my first malatang experience in my entire life, and I like it now afterward! Oh, by the way, I have been to two branches, either in Burnaby or Richmond. I like Richmond one more! + plus, if they could care about hygienics, it would be great! Bcoz I sometimes saw that would be a little bit inappropriate health control for the customer side. I still like going here and hope that they will maintain their business well!

Hot Pot that you can pick ingredients yourself, however they only offer one soup base with one flavour. Other hot pot places offering different soup styles with different flavours. They are not cheap but not overprice at all. Hope they can offer more flavour besides just the spicy levels. Otherwise it wouldn’t be worth to visit very often.

We like coming here, especially when it's the guy that's serving. The girl server is a bit rude and ungracious. Nonetheless, we enjoy the food.

I actually used to be a Ma La Tang person in Korea, so I was really looking forward to try MLT in Canada.
And finally today I came here because many Korean people recommended this place.
And it was soooo awsome!
The taste is really simmilar to MLT in Korea.
And the ingredients were fresh.
The staffs, really kind and friendly.
One of them let us know how to order very kindly.the environment of the restaurant was also clean.

Great experience, great atmosphere. Everything was clean and fresh. It was slightly pricey…but their soup is scrumptious. Since they do individual bowls, I did enjoy the fact that two of us could go for hot pot instead of the usual 4 needed.

First of all, the girl who was working as a cashier was very rude. When it was time for us to pay, I noticed the screen that showed the price was in RMB currency symbol instead of CAD symbol, so I asked the staff was it in RMB or CAD and she gave me an eye roll and a rude demeanour. Let alone the food was overpriced. Thinking back to the situation, I realized that it’s very misunderstanding to the customers if the price is shown in RMB, and they didn’t even bother to explain when I asked. Never going back again!

I visited the restaurant for dining in because some of my frineds recommended this place. There was no available table so we just wanted to wait, but the female server looked at me strangely and said very rudely that I cannot do dine in because the tables were full. I told her I will wait for the table but she was just ignoring me. I know the workers can be kind of upset when they are busy, but the server should not express that feeling to the customer. I will never visit and recommend this place.

The guy in the glasses is literally the best customer service rep ever! I always choose this location bc the dude is so nice! 10/10 customer service

I agree with other posts here. It can get a bit pricey here.and the quality of ingredients aren't top notch. That being said, its pretty good here if you know how to pick your items. The soup is good and it comes with free rice.
