Great Canadian Oil Change

I have been coming here since I started driving in May 2023. They have always been super amazing on making sure I know what I need to do with my car or when I can Safely wait To change something such as my filters.
I got a new car three weeks ago after a severe hit and run accident. I brought it in to see if an oil change was needed. And they treated my car with so much care and made sure I left feeling safe! I absolutely recommend this place and would recommend anyone to come here

Second time my oil filter was not screwed on right and leaked oil, my mother went as well and they didn’t even put the right oil filter on her car. Will not be going back and I will make sure everyone knows if they do to not trust what they do. I as well told them only to do a only change and they proceeded to crack open my diffs and transfer case to “check” the fluid in them and I had to go around making sure that they were tight and the rear diff and transfer case were not.

I was amazed at the friendly professional and efficient staff at the Great Canadian on Sumas Way. I never thought I'd say this but I actually am telling others about the great service I got there.

I pulled up and had my take breakfast to go. I could see they had a customer. I pulled up to the garage bay door. I noticed an underground pit and a man greeted me.

He told me that he could work on my car within the next 15 minutes! I was pleased about this and browsed on my phone until he called me in.

I got set up and they ran over my options with me in a friendly way. They explained the difference of buying a higher quality oil and the options that where available.

All three of these guys rocked in my opinion, and offered great value even giving me a free turn signal bulb and checking safety of my car. The price was less than I'd have thought.

I'd definitely be recommending going to get your oil changed there, In Abbotsford at the Great Canadian Oil Change.

Came here with a new to me vehicle, as the engine was ticking quite loudly. It was completely empty of oil, and he was able to assure it was not a leak, and just that the motor was burning through it fast. They offered a full service but I was unfortunately in a rush. They filled it up with oil free of charge, and were very friendly and informative. 10/10 recommend for any services you need done.

Matt and Karan were super helpful and did a great job! If you need an oil change, this is the place to go!

Ray/Karan were very helpful and courteous, I was in and out super fast and they did a great job.

The customer service was phenomenal! I had Matt, Ray, and Karan make the service so delightful and easy as they all went above and beyond to make it a good experience. Definitely will be coming back!

I've yet to have a bad experience with Great Canadian Oil Change. Everyone is anyways professional and kind! Excellent fast service from Ray and Karan!

Came to great Canadian for a standard oil change and discovered we were dripping oil! Instead of charging us for an oil change, Matt and Ray we’re able to top us off and give us some handy advice on how to proceed with our engine. Great customer service, will definitely be back!

Great Canadian oil change just lost my business. I arrived at 5: 15 PM and they close at 5: 30 PM. A gentleman came outside and complained how close it was to closing. Then recommended going to another oil change place that could possibly be open later.
If this is how you actually operate, maybe you should consider putting a sign up saying last service at 5 PM.

Ray was amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable, funny and knows their job very well.
Matt was very welcoming and came out greet us in the line up to let us know how long it would be.
Karan was very professional.

Super quick service, and no grief at all with the between oil change top ups. New to using this kind of service, and was really pleased.

I always come here for an oil change. Today I went for them to check my oil. Matt went above and beyond helping me diagnose why I am burning oil, find a part and replace it! He topped up my wash fluid to boot. Always really friendly and professional service. Also the car wash next to it is the best and if you use it you get a discount on your oil change:)

I came in today needing a quick oil change, but I didn’t have time, so Matthew topped me up, checked all of my levels and sent me on my way! I was so happy with the customer service and kindness shown. I will be back for my proper change next week when I am not in such a rush! Thank you Matthew for making this busy moms day!

I went there to do oil change. Staff is super friendly, told me it wasnt needed since i do alot of highway. So nice of them. BUT they forgot to put back the oil cap! Drove like thst for 3 hour before my car started of smoking! I called them & they said it wasnt them! I guess i just opened my hood & unscrew my oil cap myself ‍️

This business is the one me and my father have been going to for quite some time and is definitely my top recommendation. Filled my oil to the perfect level every time, and they don't hesitate to recommend options for your vehicle if they notice anything wrong during diagnostic.

Top lads. Headed to Sask, wife's car hadn't been driven in a month. Buddy pointed out a nice big goose egg on the front drivers tire. Never would've noticed. Saved us from a potential sh*tshow on the Coquihalla. I'd give em 6 stars if I could.

Avoid that brush car wash, it scratched my paint, left streaks and might break your mirrors if you don't fold them in.

The oil change is okay.

Honest people working here, staff are very attentive, if not a little pushy when it comes to secondary products.

I randomly rolled in here because my car was overdue for an oil change. Being female, I was a little guarded because I don't know a lot about mechanics and was almost sure I would be sold some extra service that I didn't really need.
Matt was the opposite - he was honest, genuine and made me feel so comfortable. Hands down I would recommend this place but only if Matt is working!

Terrible. Avoid their Tec Jason. Dropped a socket into my engine compartment and wasn't able to recover it.

These guys are hard on bolts.torqued my drain plug up so hard it almost needed and extension wrench to get it off again. Also noticed a bolt was missing from when they took my skid plate off. Probably torqued on it too hard and broke the clip. Do not like the undersized filters they use to save money. They are approved for use for my vehicle make but half the size of the ones I normally buy. OIl used seemed to be low to moderate quality imo. Im going back to doing my own oil changes now. Wouldnt shake the dust out of my air filter when they took it out to inspect. Just want you to buy a new one.paper filters need to be taken out and dusted off every so often I dont see why they cant take the filter outside and shake it off.

They brought samples (in a little cup) of rear diff oil up and said it needed to be changed. The sample was black. Hubby was suspicious, declined and changed it himself at home. The oil was clear.

Oil was overflowed and dirty post change. Not sure what happened here and I only realized this as my brother in law checked fluids before we took off for a road trip. I had just got the oil change the day before.

I love this location. Same excellent and fast service you can expect from all Great Canadian Oil change locations but they are just a little more personable here. I see them for all my oil (and other fluid) seevices

I didn't actually get an oil change. I was using the car wash. Machine said to save my receipt and $8 on an oil change. The young man working checked my oil and he was honest enough to say that my oil is good for a long while. Nice and clean. Wish I had gotten his name. March 29th 2022 around 1: 30pm. If his bosses see this date and time I hope they know he made me a full time customer. When my cars ready for an oil change that is.

I find this is the best place in Abbotsford to go.
I have been to all of them but this one is so great.
They look after you and they don't try to sell you a whole bunch of stuff you don't need.
Friendly service and a very clean stall.
My whole family goes here now.

I went in for an oil change and after about 30 minutes somone came to talk to me and tried telling me that I stripped my drain plug and they made me push my truck out of there work area and told me to call a tow truck I now have to get my truck to a shop and get the oil pan replaced all because they stripped my drain plug this is extremely inconvenient for me as I use my truck for work. Not impressed at all do not recommend

The young blonde girl and the bleached haired employees give Excellent customer service. They need to move on to a respectful environment.
I do NOT appreciate any degrading treatment given to the workers trying hard to please customers while earning peanuts. Downright unprofessional and unfair on every level.

Girl has so much attitude. Zero respect for the customer. They are charging the same amount even when customer provides filter as well as oil.

2 separate times the guy got oil on my new truck. 1st time his oily hands opened my door to scan sticker.
2nd time 3 months later he was touching buttons on steering wheel to reset oil % left.
Come on guys. Clean your hands. We pay you well.

My vehicle was leaking oil after an oil change at a different business, so I came to my local G. C. O. C.location yo fix the problem. Alex and AJ were very professional and quickly pinpointed a faulty oil filter. It was replaced, tested and cleaned up. Their service is amazing. They were super professional, and I could tell that they enjoy their jobs and take pride in their work.
I will be coming here from now on for everything!

I love this place for my oil changes. The staff are friendly and efficient. Karen is who I usually see and she's great. Super kind and never tries to upsell me on things that I don't need. Very trustworthy. Will definitely be returning as they're always the ones to do my oil changes.

Stopped in here for an oil change and the tech let me know my oil still looked very clean and that I could probably drive a bit more before getting a full change done. My car burns oil a bit so he topped up the oil and the windshield washer fluid for free. First time visiting this location, and it was a great experience. Recommended!

Multiple poor experiences here with oil changes. Employees coming to the car saying it’s going to be a much longer wait than it actually is and not hiding the annoyance on their face when we choose to stay and wait (because I don’t know where else to go and I need an oil change lol).

Got an oil change at this location today. Jerry was absolutely wonderful and he did a great job and was very kind. He works super hard and I thought he deserved a shout out:)

Way more expensive than an oil change should be ($120 for a 2013 Jetta), and the sticker given that includes the mileage to change it again at? 8000km from now, when the owner's manual calls for 16000km or 1 year between changes. Overpriced, bad business, and trying to get customers to do service twice as much as necessary? Absolute trash.

I received excellent service here. The staff were very professional and fast. Very good value for quality service.

When you go to get your oil changed and the staff know your name even before looking at their computer screen, you've got a good place.

Went in for an oil change and transmission flush. The staff were friendly, explained things without being condescending and worked quickly and efficiently. I also appreciated that they were super understanding when my debit card was declined several times and I was getting frazzled. (Turns out it was my old, deactivated debit card, my kid had put it in my purse without me knowing lolll) so thank you again & I will def be back!

100% awesome staff, the nicest guys and don't push things that aren't necessary. Quality service through and through, I 100% think everyone should go to this location

Wash machine didn’t print a receipt so I went inside to grab one. The guy in side was not wearing a mask and had a bad attitude and told me tough luck. I won’t be going back.

Great attitude and efficient with services. Brandon is quite personable and humorous. Honest when services may take longer due to customers being served ahead of time. Checked and replaced a dirty cabin filter. I recommend 100% to go to this location.

Got there, hopped out of my car to ask the guy how long of a weight as there was one person in front of me. He told me to go sit in my car and that someone would come help me
He was doing his job and then another guy came down and was chatting away to the girl in the car just sounded like he was up selling her.
I waited about 30 minutes
And then he finally came over and was like you know it's going to be a long weight were doing a transmission fluid change.
Some information that would have been good when I first got there. I went elsewhere and got great customer service.

Service like you don't see much anymore. Brought my van in before a trip out to the prairies to have the oil changed and fluids checked. Manager asks how long it's been as my oil is topped up and clean. Tells me I don't need it and to come by on the way back. Honesty in this field is often a lost art, but the Sumas GCOC has it in spades. I'll go there for sure on my return from my trip.

I went in for oil change a week ago, very good service by Shawn, and today I went in for Transmission oil change very awesome service by Alex. I will recommend people to use this service, that's call customer service. Thank You.

Friendly professional staff. Quickest oil change I have ever had, and they didnt try to upsell me on things the vehicle didn't need. Won't be going back to my previous oil change place after this experience. Also used the car wash after and it did a good job.

Came here for the car wash on my road trip. Easy access of trans Canada hiway 1. Surprised how Clean it got my car with the road grime I was carrying.

I arrived, parked and waited nearly 15 minutes while staff visited with their manager and ignored me. Then I presented them with my mobile bandit coupon for an oil change for 35 dollars and they acknowledged it and proceeded to do my oil change. Once completed they gave me my bill for $91.00. Apparently the coupon didn’t cover the type of oil that I needed but it would have been great if someone told me that before I wasted my time and money there. Definitely won’t be going back.

I won’t be back in there twice dealt with Karen twice I don’t know if she’s the manager or what but having someone like her upfront will not bring you customers back. I usually go To my mechanic or Mr.lube but today I was in a hurry and your location was close to my house will not be back very poor service I asked her to check my front tire pressure she said her THINGY was broken so she couldn’t check my tire pressure! They offered nothing like Mr.lube does no 21 point inspection didn’t check my lights anything drained my Oil and put new stuff in that was it!
