I have a hybrid car and my engine light was telling me to change the oil. I went in here and was told my oil was still super clean and at a good level so
no point changing it yet. This is a shop I can trust and I will be back.

First time visiting Great Canadian Oil Change since moving to Vancouver Island. Staff tended to my needs upon arrival …. Neil did a thorough check of my vehicle and even noticed mice had chewed away at my battery blanket and built a nest under the plastic engine covered. He removed all traces of the chewed blanket and inspected for further mice issues.all was good. In and out the door in less than 30 minutes and honoured my photo of the $6 off coupon that I was unable to print - Great shop.will return every time!

First time here won’t be the last. First arrived to a lineup of 5 cars ahead of me. Young man came out to acknowledge my arrival and give me an approx wait time. No problem brought a book. When it was my turn plenty of info given. Changed one filter when show the current one. Courteous staff all seemed very knowledgeable! Thanks again for great service. Regards Judy

They were great but the Manager forgot to tighten the coolant cap and coolant sprayed everywhere! We were down 2 litres by the time we hit the Courtney location and the manager there was awesome.

Great fast friendly exceptional service. First time I’ve ever used this service in my life btw. I drove right in and the young men were so very nice and polite to me! It was a great experience and I will go here again next oil change.

Jake was very polite and professional. Was very thorough with my 22 Subaru OBW. They unfortunately didn't have my air filter or cabin air filter in stock, so I went to Lordco and came back, and Jake was nice enough to install them at no extra cost. Great job Jake!

I have been to this location twice. I find the staff friendly and efficient. I trust them to do only what is necessary. They recommended my van have its transmission fluid changed at 100,000km, I check my warranty, and that was recommended. I have now had 2 oil changes and the transmission fluid change at this location.

They have improved greatly over the last few years.
Took my 2010 Silverado for a oil change.
It took a bit more time these days but much more detailed work.
Then a second person came along to confirm the work that had been properly completed. No more 10 minute rush through. They really made sure everything was done correctly.
I’m very happy with the service. I will be back.

Took my first car here being a teenager and not knowing any better they charged me $250 for an oil change.

My brother laughed at me when I told him and said it should be $50.he told me a lot of people on car forums get this treatment if they are driving a JDM and are asian, whatever the reason it was a complete rip off.

Do your research before going to any mechanic!

Awesome experience today at Great Canadian Oil Change in Parksville! The staff were efficient and knowledgeable. I didn’t catch the name of my attendant today, but he was very informative and kind. I really appreciated their straight forward approach and I at no point did I feel I was being upsold or pressured.

Awesome Crew and very professional. I drive from port alberni to have them work on vehicles.

I frequently use 'Quick Oil Change' services. Some try and upsell customers with wiper blades, cabin filters, air filters, and various 'flushes' of radiators and transmissions. Sometimes they are required, but the vast majority are not, and staff are incentivized to push unnecessary services.

I'm glad that this place doesn't seem to follow that business model. They were polite, clean, efficient, and didn't try to offload non essential products or service.

A bit of a wait on a busy weekday afternoon, (40 minutes), for this two bay location, but once you get in, they do a thorough and effective job.

Highly recommended by many of the locals I spoke with, and I can understand why. Good service, with fair prices, and a friendly staff.
