Good job, over tighten the oil pan bolt caused it to crack. Had to spend over $300 getting my oil pan replaced after them over torquing the bolt. Wish they would become corporate like the rest of the provinces in Canada and have basic policies in place for this. It’s pretty simple, don’t over tighten any bolt on a vehicle. But I get, you want more business.
20 November 2023 17:20
Apparently they expect tips now because they kind afford to pay their mechanics so I’ll be going elsewhere.
31 July 2023 12:28
Super quick, thorough and friendly. Will definitely be back and will recommend to others. Brandon was our tech and he was fantastic!
24 July 2023 14:24
Staff was friendly, went and checked my tire pressure, all my lights were working and other car fluids, prices are moderate but they make sure you get what you want, you can get your ac charge in your car, but check location. And as a tip, go to their website, and you can get a coupon texted to you and save an additional 10 to 15 bucks if you want to save a bit.

Terrible experience at this location.
Got oil changed at this shop yesterday and they made a big mess! If you are short staffed and an hour to close turn me away I’d rather not have to clean oil off my entire engine bay and Underside of truck.
16 May 2023 12:30
I came in a little panicked and the staff did absolutely everything to help me. They explained everything to me, patiently. They jumped over the moon for me. The appeal of this place was the on demand service with a minimal wait and no appointment. But now, the appeal is the people, the service and the thoughtfulness from every. Single. Employee. They were Brilliant.

This place is great. Didn't even have to get out of my vehicle. Staff was awesome. Very helpful and give you many options to choose from. Wait time wasn't that bad either.
24 October 2022 11:15
The service went well. My complaint is about the attitude of the service person who guides you into the bay and takes your information. We knew that the service cost of a rear diff change was high considering the actual service only requires less than half an hour and half a liter of oil at $135.00. When paying for the service you are given the option to add a tip. We did not add a tip considering that they are already making a good profit on such an easy service. After we handed back the interac machine to the service person he walked over to his computer screen and cursed under his breath "no f! $%&ing tip" His demeanor changed immediately.

Fantastic service & Great staff. They were very helpful and thorough with my vehicle. Thumbs up

****DAMAGED MY CAR! ****

Not only are they rude, but also incompetent.

Got an oil change before leaving home and they put the skid plate on wrong which started making awful noises so I had to pull over on the hwy. I considered calling a tow truck, but did not know how my dog and I would get home. I had to drive the rest of the way home under speed limit.

As you can see the skid plate was supposed to go above the black piece and have 2 bolts holding it in. This resulted in damages to my skid plate on a 40,000 km car.

The manager told me that skid plates are problematic on most every vehicle. I have not had an issue ever with skid plates on this car or any vehicle ever before this but have never had a skid plate put on incorrectly by an oil change place before.

This location will not refund my oil change or replace my skid plate. Obv no one from gcoc will be touching my car ever again. I am not even in the auto industry and can see how it was supposed to be put on. I should not have to have damaged parts on my car from their errors!

For 130 dollar oil change do not expect to get fluids topped up, lights checked or your skid plate to be put on correctly, but do expect a tip request.

I know things happen, but it is how it is dealt with that matters the most and I have never been treated so awfully by a company that clearly made an error in my life.

I went here for an oil change and received amazing customer care from Mike Brown. He went above and beyond and was friendly and extremely professional. I assumed he was the manager but when I asked he said he wasn’t which was surprising given how much pride he took in his work. I’ll be sure to come back to this location. I’m impressed.
16 July 2022 11:00
What a rip off this place is. You definitely pay the price for convenience here. Took my 4cyl Jeep Patriot in for an oil change and got semi synthetic and the price came to $100 and then they have the gull to ask for a tip afterwards.

Took my 8cyl Ram 1500 to Canadian 4x4 in Enderby and got semi synthetic oil change for $60 and no request for a tip after.

Almost twice the price for half the engine size? I will never use their services again. Do yourself a favour and check with your local mechanic you will save a lot of money.

Just came in for an oil change half an hour before close due to desperate need of course lol. Anyways the two guys that rocked it out the whole day alone that I call the ginger duo of baddassery. These guys took us in after 3 cars ahead of us and still gave amazing service as well as giving alot of helpful info about a small engine issue we are having. Thanks you guys, without you great canadian oil change just wouldn't be so great.
11 October 2021 9:56
Great customer service everytime I need an oil change, quick and efficient with super friendly staff!

HUGE RAVE to the men at The Great Canadian Oil Change on Anderson Way! Y'all were so wonderful and went above and beyond what was expected! My dealership has never treated me as good as the service I got today! Courteous and so very friendly!
Thank you!

Three guys sitting around doing nothing 5: 40 website says open till six all had their work clothes on redirecting people they were closed and already had turned off their compressor so they couldn’t help anyone I hope their boss reads this lazy!
07 August 2021 4:08
Some of the best service I have had for an oil chance. Quick, knowledgeable and not trying to sell you anything. They get the job done with a smile and often throw a few good jokes in too. Check before you come, there is often a coupon online that will make their already good prices, even lower. You need to change your oil, might as well enjoy yourself while it is getting done.
22 July 2021 5:26
They marked off that they did the full inspection but didn't do the normal things like check lights wipers.didn't top up washer fluid or even check the coolent.
10 July 2021 12:11
I was so impressed by this place. Great service.every staff member that spoke to me was very professional and super friendly. Will definitely be a repeat customer!
09 July 2021 7:03
We had to write a rave for Brandon. Very hard working, professional, friendly and i don't know, we just left happy and impressed with him and Great Canadian Oil Change.
15 June 2021 9:11
What a joke of a place. Brought in my girlfriends piece of junk winter beater Audi A4 before putting it away for the summer. I had done an oil change earlier that day and then ran some Seafoam through the engine, went for a long drive then didn’t feel like changing the oil again myself to get the gunk and Seafoam out, so came to Great Canadian on my way home. I was told her car takes “special European oil and take a lot of it” and the oil change would be about $170 plus taxes. It takes 6.5litres of oil.that’s not a lot. My Mustang takes 10 L and my diesel truck takes 16 litres lol.almost burst out laughing. First of all, what is “special European oil? ” You mean it takes synthetic oil.does synthetic oil in Europe work better than synthetic in Canada? Doubt it. Lol. Well, as this car is a POS with over 300,000km on it, it gets conventional oil. I was a 3rd year automotive mechanic apprentice before I changed my mind in my early 20s. I know my way around a car better than many. Nothing wrong with using conventional oil in one that recommends synthetic but you won’t get the same wear protection and long intervals between changes. I told him I want 10-30 conventional oil. He looked at me like I just slapped his mom. He made a big deal about writing on the invoice I was basically wrong. Who cares.what bugs me though is on the sticker and invoice it said 5-30. I wanted 10-30 as this is a higher KM engine and could do with a heavier weight. Noted.staff don’t listen to customers.you change oil for a living and aren’t even a real mechanic. To be fair, the guy in the pit changes the oil, you take payments and laugh at peoples cars. What else was worrisome was that a BMW rolled in next to me and had a damaged rocker panel, and right in front of me and the BMW owner, my guy starts laughing at the damaged BMW with a co worker. So if you want to be made fun of if your car has damage (I’m sure they had a good laugh at my girlfriend’s Audi!) and want someone to try and BS you to sell you some ridiculous oil change your car doesn’t need, come here. My Mustang GT350 takes 10L of synthetic oil and is vastly higher performance than a 16 year old Audi A4, how come an oil change for that thing, AT THE DEALER NO LESS, only costs about $190 including taxes? Sounds like Great Canadian, or at least some unscrupulous employees, are trying to charge people for stuff they don’t need. Do your staff get commission? Scammers. Don’t even bother with this place. Even the A4’s oil change came to $80 and it only takes 6.5litres of oil, which was conventional. That’s what I get for being lazy though. Never again will I come to Great Canadian for any of our vehicles for any reason. Oil is oil. And synthetic oil is synthetic oil. Don’t let people try and scam you because you come in with a European make. If your car isn’t junk and newer, synthetic is the way to go though.

William, Ross and Skyler were awesome! We stopped because we noticed our oil was showing it may have been overfilled last time we got an oil change and a transmission change 1000 km ago at a different Branch. They checked all of our levels and we were in deed over. They quickly drained what needed to be drained. They were careful to get the levels right and sent us on our way at no charge. Great group of guys that know what they are doing. Be safe and choose Great Canadian Oil Change in Vernon!
16 May 2021 21:39
Big Shout out to the whole team. They found a bunch of issues and went way above and beyond to ensure they got my jeep to place where it's safe to operate! First class teamwork!
07 May 2021 11:50
Huge kudos to employee Jeremy. I went to have an oil change today in a car that I am selling on behalf of my elderly father. I have no idea when the last oil change had been done so I thought it best to have one done now just in case. After pulling the dipstick, Jeremy quickly pointed out that the oil was very clean therefore the car did not need an oil change and to do so would be a waste of money. He easily could have done the change and I wouldn't have been the wiser. So hats off to you, Jeremy.
If I was a business owner, I'd hire you in a heartbeat.
10 April 2021 13:25
10/10 amazing place to go. They go above and beyond to help customers. Shout out to Murphy whom after inspecting my vehicle informed me of a fix that demanded attention even prior to the oil change I was about to receive. His honesty and wisdom saved me from spending hundreds up to thousands in damage to my vehicle had things gone wrong while driving. Exceptional service provided. 10/10 will go again.
21 March 2021 17:35
This is the only place I will go for my oil changes! These guys have been with me for 3 vehicles now and not once have they disappointed me.
04 February 2021 15:43
I've had nothing but great experiences with Great Canadian Oil Change. They are polite and professional and they triple check their work. Give them a try, I think it was $70 all in, you can leave a tip as well. I do as they deserve it!
16 November 2020 8:59
Quick and easy oil change. Don't know that they do a ton else in checks apart from fluids. Friendly staff.
23 October 2020 7:17
Improperly installed the filter on my BMW. I ended up having to completely flush out the old oil, clean my Vanos system and had to redo the oil. I brought the evidence of their damage and they took it to "show " a manager. When I went back they told me they sent the parts to their head office and that I could not have them back. Liars and cheaters. The owners wife also cut my character down and threatened to sue me with "slander" when I complained on social media not good people. Do not trust them with this simple task, do it yourself or go elsewhere!
12 October 2020 0:35
I always come here. Great group of guys who provide fast and competent service at a reasonable price.

Happy to support this local business!

Helpful, quick and efficient service. Knowledgeable staff saved me money with professional assessment and advice.
25 August 2020 12:45
Amazing service again and again, great Canadian oil change delivers value it feels great knowing the staff is knowledgeable and enjoy their career.
23 August 2020 0:10
Very quick and easy. The gentlemen who changed my oil was very nice and asked all the right questions. I had brought in a digital coupon for $12 off and it was honoured which was good. I appreciated how they weren’t pushy in the upsale process as its their requirement but they let me know the option was there.
15 August 2020 4:27
Good service and whatnot, when you need an oil change you need an oil change and this place gets the job done.
11 August 2020 10:39
Absolutely the best staff, guy named Brandon I think, he was awesome. Will definitely continue going there.
21 April 2020 7:49
There was no waiting; I happened by at a good time, although two other customers were served in the bays as well. Kierran did my oil change, but what I like about this team is: one person does the oil change at motor level whilst a second mechanic is downstairs underneath your vehicle checking things out.

They check fluids, air filters etc. Also, if a problem is noticed (such as my rear 4 wheel drive thing (sorry, they gave the proper name and I plum forgot it), but at any rate, it needed fluid. The front one had seized. What is appreciated greatly is they will tell you the urgency and importance of the problem, as well as the cost. (If they can cut cost in some way, they will.)

My rear "thing" (lol just being real) needs fluid. It's not urgent but should definitely not be forgotten about OR the vehicle will not move. The front one (although seized) can be left until I can afford to fix it - UNLESS I plan to drive in 4 wheel drive high a great deal often, which I am not. Any delay does NOT threaten to halt vehicle usage, BUT should be addressed up the road for times I may need it for great amounts of snow, ice, mud etc in which I need the 4W high or low.

I also have a great ticking under my dash (an actuator), and was given the name of a good mechanic (who happens to be sympathetic toward women who have NO CLUE about the intricate mechanics of a vehicle lol - yes, you said it, or at least guessed it haha, I raised my hand shhh)

But returning to seriousness, I highly recommend the Great Canadian Oil Change on Anderson Way. I was there long enough to observe that not only does the team take time with each customer (as stated, two others were in the bays during the time I was there), but the staff also gets along with each other and are quick to help one another out. That speaks volumes to me.overall, a very caring, professional, friendly team (with a sense of humour! Yeaaa:) )

Fast, efficient and all-round great service. Thank you Kierran and the rest of the team. You gentlemen made my day. Also thank you for taking time for to patiently explain things to a lay person, so that I could understand not only the problem, but whether it was urgent or not. You guys are really
"Great Canadian" (s) Kudos!

UPDATE: It grieves me to have to add this, but perhaps by doing so, the good crew at Great Canadian Oil Change (Anderson Way) will think twice before they try to snow the next unknowledgeable (about mechanics) individual, particularly females.

I was led to get a second opinion, so I took my vehicle to a trusted mechanic. As one can see up above, I did not have the proper name for the "problem" the men at Great Canadian told me I had, but I had enough information (fluid, front and back and had to do with my 4x4 drive).

Despite my awkwardness, my trusted mechanic knew what I was talking about. He put my SUV up on a hoist. Apparently, the "back" did NOT need any fluid, as it was clean and full. The "front" was NOT seized. He said maybe they just didn't have the right wrench. He topped up the fluid in the front.

Great Canadian Oil Change mechanic informed me that although doing the fluid (on the BACK only.the FRONT could be done when I had more funds), would only take 10 minutes, it would cost $120 plus taxes, but he was sure he could give me a 'deal' (a slight cut in price, although he was unsure how much).

My trusted mechanic took less than five minutes to check both at no charge. So, I would advise anyone who is told by Great Cdn Oil Change on Anderson Way that they need extra work done on their vehicle to get a second opinion from a trusted source.

I really liked the people at the Oil Change place.it's too bad that people will deceive you with a smile. Kind of reminds me of the story of Judas betraying Jesus (Yeshua) with a kiss.

You did a great job changing my oil, but I will not be back. It's understood that you may want to make extra money, but it's always best to keep it honest. These truly are the days of "fake news". Because of the new information, I dropped the rating from 5 star to 2 star.
16 April 2020 2:44
There's really no reason to consider any other oil change shop in Vernon. The Great Canadian Oil Change on Anderson Way is a step above everyone else - and I've been to everyone else.

If it's time to get an oil/fluids change, you should already be on your way to this shop.
05 March 2020 12:03
2nd time here. 1st visit was great but this time not so much. No one seemed to want to be there and nothing on the 'Checklist' was done.also an extra charge at the end? ! Not sure I'd be back with so many other options out there.
25 February 2020 8:22
Fast service and the techs showed me; the color of my transmission fluid, how dirty my air filter was, and the state of other fluids in my car, including PH of my coolant. I appreciate being shown this stuff, very informative. I didn't feel pressured to buy additional services, just given knowledge to make my own decisions. I can respect that. If service is always that good and informative, I will continue to return. Thank you.
29 November 2019 19:37
Not happy
Nothing was checked
I had to ask them to refill my windshield fluid
Did not even bother to check my tires he said they looked fine
I don’t feel that even did anything
I will never trust them or go back
18 November 2019 3:17
Wait was a little long but that was my fault for coming in on a weekend. Cameron did the oil change was very knowledgeable and professional about it all. Loading my jeep up with oil was all I needed and that's all that was done and well done I might add. Will recommend.
07 November 2019 13:07
I've been "upsold" twice for over $500. This is where you go if you want to be pressured into unnecessary services.
27 July 2019 18:36
Just bought a used diesel truck, took it in and the guys not only spotted issues for me.they took me down to inspect the trucks undercarrage and point out potential issues.they went above and beyond the oilfuel filter change and fixed some of the issues for me free of charge. People like this are gold, i don't care what industry your in.when people take pride in their work and value add to a company like this you have a institution to remain loyal to. Thank you Tony and Nick

I've been to numerous Great Canadian Oil Changes across 3 provinces and unfortunately this bad experience along with a poor response from the GM ("it's not our fault") put a bad taste in my mouth for the franchise. While I understand the cost of doing business I don't believe a 3rd party oil change shop that advertises quick and inexpensive oil changes should ever charge more than the dealership service department. Supposedly, my vehicle is "special" and requires an hour long oil change and for that I was charged $220 compared to my previous visits at a location 25km away (Same province and less than 9 months ago) that was $162. The tech's were friendly enough; however, overall it was not the experience I had come to enjoy at the Saskatoon location. Moral of the story.better to go to the dealership service department where they also check fluids levels, tire pressures and vacuum the vehicle.
18 May 2019 22:47
The service is great the guys let me know if anything need to be done and show me what they do.what a great team they have there.thanks guys
08 May 2019 14:56
Will be coming to this location from now on! Turns out our previous venue stripped the oil drain plug.and torqued on at 60 lbs! We were shocked to learn that had it been an aluminum pan.we would have to have it replaced as great expense! Our drain plug was replaced with a new one at no cost? Who does that anymore? Thanks so much for taking the time to explain everything in great detail! These people know their stuff and left us feeling very confident in a job well done!
