Great Canadian Oil Change - Chilliwack Vedder Rd.

Had my oil changed a few months ago and they told me my air filter needed to be replaced too so they put in a new one. A few weeks ago my check engine light and traction control light came on so I took it into the dealership today to have it looked at and was told someone had installed an aftermarket air filter that was allowing dirt in.

Regular oil change and oil changed on my front/rear differentials. Staff was friendly and professional and this has made me a repeat customer.

Usually great service with great staff, however Eli, the assistant manager has an attitude problem. Incredibly condescending and childish. Completely ignored me saying hello as well, and wanted to invasively look at my insurance papers. Just change my oil dude.

He eventually refused service as I didn't want to take my key fob out and put it on the dash- (what?) Apparently this is a "safety procedure" that has been around for "15 years", except for the dozens of other times I, or anyone else I know, have gone there. Either way, it doesn't take half a brain to realize you could still turn a car on with a fob with the fob on the dash, or in your pocket, but what else would you expect from the grown man with superhero tattoos.

Went to the other location on Young, much friendlier and helpful experience there, and no unnecessary "safety procedures"

I Called you Vedder Rd Outlet and asked for a Price to Change the Fuel Filter on a 05 Cummins ($160. + tax)
I bought the filter $35. & a local garage installed it for $40.
Wow… less than 1/2 the Price!

Can to believe how pushy, rude and dangerous these guys are.went for a simple oil change, when I drove in they said before they can even lift the hood they had to perform a safety check? This is not a designated inspection facility. They are not Mechanics, so why are they saying they need to do a safety check? I politely said no.the young guy said it was mandatory? Like come on.he said he wanted to check my lights, etc.
I said listen I just want an oil change.then they asked for all my personal information, again I declined and said I just want an oil change.
Then he started and brought me my dipstick and said oil is full and its a pretty dirty.it really wasnt, but I just said yeah just change it please.after a few moments same kid comes back to me and says guy under the car told him I have a really bad oil leak and he would recommend using their engine oil stop leak product. I have never noticed oil on my driveway at home so said no. He then started to get really pushy, saying I really should do it. I said, listen you said the oil was dead full, it was changed 6 months ago and its still full.like that's what you told me.so therefore how can it have a "really bad leak"?

anyway ended up paying like 80 dollars for reg mineral oil.total rip off and they are rude, and dangerous to the point of damn near criminal culpability.

DO NOT GO THERE.
Dealerships are a better bet.

Their staff is not as friendly as the other shops, they are just doing a normal oil change. Before I had my tires and all checked but last time these new peeps gave me a heart attack.

If you want to be overcharged and underserved, this is the spot for you. Paid $140 for an oil change. Never again.

Took our van in this past week, and the gentlemen who got us in a half hour before closing was not only knowledgeable but courteous! We were in a line behind a truck receiving many services and since the line beside us was moving faster than we were he prioritized us before the person beside us which I thought was quite nice. Will be back for sure!

Wanted a Oil change only The fellow stated I should get the engine cleaner my oil was dark I said I will change it sooner next time After that he was rude and ignored anything I asked him as he went on a rant about some other employees not doing their job swearing and he spilled oil all over my engine which is fairly clean with no oil until now I don't go to a business to be treated poorly
He didn't get his upsell so Now My synthetic $118 oil change is not good enough
Well I would caution all who go to this place if you don't take all the other upsells your service is highly downgraded

Ryan was super helpful and kind and answered the millions of questions I had. He took the time to check in with me before doing anything and let me know the cost upfront. Really great experience!

The service dude was friendly, very knowledgeable, gave me a few options, answered my questions and did a quick job. I'd absolutely go back for an oil change.

My father took his truck to get an oil change today. They were not busy at all. They told him that his truck was too dirty to do an oil change on. They sent him away and they did not put the dip stick back in his truck so he returned for it and received attitude. The truck motor was not dirty what so ever or under his truck. Their customer service was terrible, very rude. Do not recommend.

Great place. The manager went above and beyond to help me out with an issue I was facing. He even called the other location (the one I originally went to) and talked to them for me instead of me having to re explain myself all over again. 5 starts from me. Thanks again for all your help! It is greatly appreciated.

I had an oil change done here about a week ago. Dan and Oliver were friendly, quick, and thorough, even recommending a bottle of Lucas as my 400,000km Honda had been burning plenty of oil. After over 1,000km already, the level has not dropped. The service and convenience are top notch!

Canadian Tire is a lot cheaper for an oil change.

This location like many other's try scare tactics to get you to buy the more expensive oil when it's not required and they pose an argumentative bad attitude to go along with it.

This location tried to convince me to put dextrose oil in my truck for $120.5.3 litres of oil.
Canadian Tire half that cost and no attitude at all.

That's where my money is going from now on

Employees seem to hate their job, drove in got reprimanded for not having a front license plate. Drove out. Not to mention the times I’ve been there with my past vehicle it’s been poor service.

They send people away if you don't wear a mask. They don't consider that you might have a health condition or not all the while you completely remain in your vehicle. What is the definition of a drive through oil change if you can't get it done with you staying in your vehicle and not having to put on a mask?

If I could rate them higher, I would. Friendly service, explained things in terms I'd understand, and great deal on full fluid change.

Great service. Quick, friendly and they never hesitate to give you a good deal on multiple services.

However, today's visit wasn't so great. The first guy I had was super overdramatic and didn't do a very good job at directing my vehicle in. If I'm a little too far over on one side then say so. Don't just give up half way through and start being all dramatic and say I'm making you feel 'uncomfortable'. You repositioned my car but you didn't. It literally stayed exactly where I left it. Maybe next time instead of doing the whole overdramatic part and embarrassing your customer for no reason you could just ask to reposition the car and leave it at that. I think you embarrassed yourself and knew you were being way too overdramatic because you asked to switch with someone else.

I do however apologize to the second guy because I always tip and I didn't this time. The service was great with the second guy and I should have tipped you.

Normally no problem but this time on my new truck was its 3rd oil change ever and a "little" oil was spilt. No sorry theres more than "a little". Now i need to do a engine bay clean. There is no reason to have oil dripping down my engine block when its a brand new truck. Lost my buisness right there.

Have been coming here for years and always loved their service, but I am posting today because they have gone over and above. Came in for an oil change and my battery dies, turns out it is dead, dead, and needs replacement. They didn't have the exact one I needed in stock so instead of just giving me a jump, sending me on my way and recommending where I should go. They called around town, got one delivered and installed it all for cheaper than it would have cost me to go and do this all myself. So thankful! Will recommend to everyone I know.

Finished in a like 15 mins, amazing! Super friendly staff! When we got home noticed that smoke was coming from the hood, we called GCOC and a staff member came and checked it out and said there was some oil that spilled out he even made sure to clean as much as he could reach. Wow, so amazing! That's what you call customer service at its finest! They really care about their CUSTOMERS! Most likely going back and highly recommend. THANK YOU GUYS!

Always a nice and smooth process whenever I get my vehicle's oil changed. Very nice staff that takes the time to fully explain any issues or recommendations.

Nathan has always looked after both my cars. I dont let to many people touch my BMW but I know my car is in good hands with Nathan.

My girlfriend had a less than stellar experience at this location. Management was quick to remedy the situation, so for that I will say, good job.

If i could give this a negitive star i would two times iv gone here and the service was not good at all 1st time i told them the oil filter needed changing all they did was change the oil didnt do any top ups or check any other fluid 2nd time which was the worst which i have the video recorded on my dash cam an employee was trying to guide me into the pit he told me to go left i went left he told me to go right i went right he shook his head looking very upset stormed over to me i had my windows rolled down and i herd him say jesus F***ing christ what an idiot i asked him what he just said he brushed it off he tried to guide me in again points left then quickly right i ask him which way he wants me to go he turns to another empoyee and says can you guide him in hes an idiot so twice i got called an idiot really nice thing to call your customers so i told them im never going here again because of what they said they just laughed and brushed it off im a believer in god & jesus so even saying jesus christ upset me let alone to be called a idiot twice i made a complaint to there website head office no reply yet if your thinking about going here dont there usless and rude they have lost my buisness for life and i tell all my friends what happend to me on that day so they didnt just loose my business
