Great Dane Coffee

Excellent soy matcha latte, with substance, and free of all the added sugar that afflicts matcha latte at Starbucks and some other chains.

I want to gatekeep this place it’s so good but now that i’ve graduated I guess I really can say that this is the holy grail place to eat a grilled cheese and study away

Small place hidden gem at the campus. Sadly I found this place in my last year of UBC. I found for their Jeremy Sandwiches! Super good focaccia served with salami and balsamic dressing. Portion is large but I can eat them all in one sitting cuz they r so good.

Worst espresso I’ve ever had in my life. Tastes like paint. Everything about this place is great other than the god awful beans you use for your espresso. Please just use a halfway decent tasting bean and I’ll happily be a regular customer.

Love the pastries. Banana bread, scones, muffins are to die for. The Jeremy sandwich is also fire; however, they’ve been raising its price. The coffee, however, is pretty bad. I normally can’t ever tell the difference between good coffee and bad coffee, but the 2-3 times I’ve had their lattes it tasted like rubber. Really disappointing cuz I love having a pastry with my coffee, but I really can’t get the coffee from the Great Dane.

My first experience having a London Fog in Canada and it did not disappoint! A very sweet little cafe on UBC campus that I will come back to for sure.

The cafe space is nice and there are good gluten-free options. However, my hot chocolate literally tasted like leftover eater at the bottom of a carafe, and $6 seemed like a lot to pay for that! The cashier was also not one of the nicest - she seemed like she'd rather not be there, though the barista was fine.

Great little cafe in an area that badly needs most cafes. I got a fever, a fever that can only be cured by more cafes in UBC.

I like this place overall, but I wish the food situation would improve a little bit. I liked the Jeremy sandwich the first time I had it a few months ago, but the quality has definitely gone down since then. I've tried it again a few times and it's just super sloppy.soooo much aioli, barely any vegetables - borderline gross. I think this place would benefit from a second bread option cuz the focaccia just becomes a greasy mess when heated with the aioli.it just needs to be balanced out a little more and it'll be great! All in all, pretty good coffee and reasonable prices for campus food.

Good cofee, good food, good service, and good atmosphere. They have some nice sitting space next to a fire place.

The coffee is very good, also I absolutely loved the vegan muffins, especially the one with banana and chocolate. The staff is very friendly and I love the atmosphere here. Definitely recommend!

Super friendly staff, great outdoor seating options (even a space with a fireplace outdoors), high quality baked goods/food options.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. Pretty good quality coffee, the price is definitely reasonable.

Kinda far from the hotspots on campus, but it's every bit worth the trek to get here. The staff are lovely, and the food is amazing.

Their veggie sandwiches are to DIE for! The service is always super nice too. Definitely recommend this place if you’re ever on campus.

The best coffee and breakfast sandwiches on campus. The breakfast sandwich is made with with Canadian bacon and is on their house made focaccia bread and I stg I’m still salivating thinking about it. The staff are also so kind and hardworking. The vibe in there is honestly so adorable. Also super reasonable prices considering its on campus. Could not recommend it more. Also ample seating mostly outdoors.

Was kind of hard to find since they’re building apartments right in front so follow the signs and trust the process because i had the best brownie here that i’ve ever had in my life.the kind that is extra fudgy and chewy.heard their sandwiches and coffee is good too.wouldn’t recommend going during busy hours since it’s a quaint place and fills up fast.must be worth the hype i guess

Thank you Mika for the courtesy allowing doordash grocery to be dropped off at the store even though customer purposely/accidently requested the delivery driver (myself) to drop the items in the store. Thank you Dahlia for being helpful allowing the ubereats delivery driver (myself) to recharge his phone. I have not been a paying customer at this store at all but their service level and attitude are amazing and I will definitely pay for visit and share my experience with my friends.

Great place to grab a coffee and catch up with friends in front of the big fireplace. It used to be quiet in the summer months but wait times are longer now that school’s back in session
