Greater Vancouver Zoo

Get a membership if you plan going at least twice! Well worth it.

Once in awhile if you see zookeepers around, they will passionately share wonderful facts about the animals.

Fun fact, they all have heated areas to find refuge in during the winter. Except for the Vietnamese pot bellied pig which goes to a different, warmer site.

Zoos should be banned. With climate change and poaching, half the wild animals in the world are dead. I do not condone or support animals in enclosures. What is this, the 1900s? !

Its such a beautiful zoo surrounded by tall trees. It was a hot day but there was lots of shade. We have been to the Edmonton Valley Zoo and the Assiniboine Park zoo in winnipeg - this is definitely my favourite.

Today we visited Vancouver Zoo and I have to say was probably one of best times. All the animals were out, which usually doesn’t happen during hot summer days. It was awesome to see all the bears up close and playing. Lions were just gorgeous. The zoo is beautiful and clean. We had lunch there as well and the kids loved it! I would definitely encourage anyone who visits Vancouver to find time and visit the Zoo!

Nice zoo.you can find some unique animals. They have red panda, lemur and capybara. Went there during fall season. Would recommend going on the summer for activities.

It's a sizable zoo with a verity of animals, however it comes with an expensive entrance ticket ($33/person), byciles ($25/hr), food is extrenely bad and small portion, etc. It also has a small playground to keep your little ones engaged.

Its a great place to let kids ride bikes and scooters to see the animals
