First time at this restaurant and everything was great.friendly staff, great meal.will definitely be back.

Food and service was exceptional for our party of 10.
Restaurant was quite loud but I'll take that as a sign of a healthy business. Especially on a Monday night. It was very busy in there but the service didn't suffer. Thank you.

Very friendly staff. The food was ok, a bit too greasy, and jammed packed from wall to wall. Can't carry a conversation without raising your voice. Left with a headache. Won't go back, but it's just a personal preference.

Wonderful ambience, incredible service and the food was delicious. This location offers both tables and booths, it is family friendly and wheel chair accessible. The kitchen is fast, efficient and plating both generous and beautiful.

We spent a delightful time savoring a most delicious Greek Platter for Two on the patio. It was our first visit and we received excellent service as well as a lovely welcome from the owners. Everything cooked to perfection. The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely will be returning.

We were told to go there and they did not disappoint.
Now to have one restaurant do so well is great but to have two restaurants about two klm apart and both doing equally as well is amazing.
Only to have a third about 45min away.

Holy poop this place was real good. Mousaka was unbelieveable- Greek salad dressing was next level we took some home! 10/10 would eat here again.

Even though they were so busy my daughter and I were seated quickly. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was phenomenal!

Food was okay, though the rice pilaf was very mushy. Service was enthusiastic but disorganized, 2 of 4 orders had errors that were quickly resolved but after waiting almost an hour it should have been correct.
Atmosphere was typical Greek restaurant (lacking fake grape vines, thank goodness) but crowded.

This was our first time at Greek Island on South Fraser Highway. It was a most wonderful experience! Our server Carrie was fabulous, friendly and attentive! We had the Mousaka and Roast Lamb. It was delicious. Lamb was tender and juicy. Mousaka very flavourful. We were also pleased to meet the owner Niko. He runs a great restaurant that is friendly to families and serves huge portions. We will definitely be back again!

Is there a better Greek restaurant anywhere around, I say no. This place is amazing every time you go. I’ve been going here for years and never once had a bad meal, never had a server not go the extra mile. Either location in Abbotsford will not disappoint

Best Greek food in Abbotsford and it is not even close. I have never been disappointed when I go there and ot is our family's go to place when it comes to celebrating birthdays or anniversaries.

Very very loud.not a good place if you're looking for a romantic date. The food was phenomenal and the portions are huge! You definitely get what you pay for.

If your local or just passing through and haven't been to Greek Islands your missing out! Great staff, friendly and all star food. Its family owned and they treat you like family as you walk in. The owner himself is there to greet you and Introduce himself (Niko). That alone shows they care but you notice that in your first bite, the food is the best I've had and I've eaten from Montreal to Vancouver. Im a foodie and I know good food this was great! Do yourself a favor and check it out you won't be disappointed CHEERS

My wife and I have been coming to the Greek islands since we were in our teens. We are both in our fifty’s now and I still look forward to eating here.
A family run business that cares about its roots and strives to put customer service at the forefront.
Because we have been coming here for so many years, I think I have had every dish on the menu, I have my favorites and go to’s, can’t go wrong with the Thallasopita, seafood deliciousness.
Nikko definitely still has a passion for his families restaurant and it shows in the quality of the food and the genuine attitude of the staff.
You get a generous portion for your hard earned buck, I’ve never left hungry. Cesar’s are dangerously delicious. Thanks again Greek Islands, you made our Valentine’s Day a very special evening.

My daughter took 5 all together for my birthday dinner. Out of the 5 two were good with their meals. The other three will never go back one of us has celiac disease with is can not have gluten ever. So he asked about a gluten free meal it was decided he would have the BBQ pork. When his meal came it was 7 small pieces of meat with so much sauce that's all he could taste no vegetables no side dish just seven little pieces of pork and was charged 15 dollars the souvlaki is the only meal I would recommend but for the portions not worth it. Two thumbs down × 5

Our experience here was fantastic! Our host & server was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The owner took 10 minutes to chat with us when it was busy. One of the best customer service experiences we've honestly ever had. And the food was delicious, well priced, and served in a very timely manner. Great place.

Excellent service and delicious food. We have never, ever been disappointed with any of our meals over the years. Their servers set the bar for quality and other establishments could follow their example. My favorite dishes are the beef or chicken souvlaki and the lasagna. The soup is always and I love their Greek salad dressing.

Delicious as usual. Portion sizes are so generous and everything from the tzatziki, to the lamb, to the schnitzel was fantastic. Don't even get me started on the baked lasagna!
They managed to get us in on new years eve, and the service was quick and friendly as per the norm.

This place is a go to for the family for as long as I can remember. Will always recommend, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

I was here this weekend. We both found the food incredibly salty. Especially the rice and potatoes. One bite of each was enough to not want anymore. The Greek style chicken breast was good. Everything else seemed just way too greasy and salty. We weren't given tzatziki, even though the menu advertised that it would be included. Service was ok, but it was kind of a mood killer to be seated next to a very loud 20+ people party. I doubt I will ever return.

Crazy busy, still found us a table, excellent service.and the food! Delish. So glad that Italian place was didn't take us. Love love loved this place. I miss Naxos.:)

Ordered chicken souvlaki with rice, salad and potatoes. The taste was good though potatoes were too sour. Portion size could be made better though. All in all i liked the pita bread and tzatziki.

Dined in tonight for party of 5. Best Caesar salad and Tzatziki in town! The greek potato’s are so delicious. Service was fantastic and the food even better! They really make you feel like a valued customer and the food is top quality. It was my son and my mother in laws bday dinner and they gave us complimentary shots and desserts. Definitely our new favourite place to meet for dinner! Will highly recommend, you won’t find tastier Greek food anywhere!

They have delicious food and amazing service. Their staff is friendly and kind. They also seem to have some sort of wizard who makes their soup because I've been so many times and have never had a bad soup. 10/10 world recommend.

As always GIs is 5 star! Great restaurant, delicious food just like eating in a Greek Taverna on one of the Greek islands! Our Server tonight, V, was great, very bubbly and lots of fun!

Enjoyed a dinner of Saganaki (fried cheese) deep fried calamari, my wife had prawn fettuccine and I enjoyed a rare New York strip steak followed by the best bourbon creme Brule ever. Laura our waitress was great and Niko the owner was very accommodating to diet concerns

We live in Chilliwack and really enjoy the Greek Islands Restaurant here. Though for some reason the food was much more flavorful. Just my personal opinion.

I ordered pickup. Food was ready on time, great customer service, they even helped me carry the food out to my car and the food was amazing as always.would absolutely recommend them

Ordered on skip the dishes and waited 2 hours and the order was never completed. This is the second time this has happened with Greek islands. They auto accept orders through skip the dishes but never make the order. Reached out through skip the dishes and no response from Greek islands.

I was introduced to the gem a year ago when I lived in Maple Ridge. I was hooked on their Greek dressing after my first visit and have driven out specifically to have dinner and get another bottle of the dressing. Friendly staff, great prices, family run business. It’s worth the drive and with 3 locations (1 in Chilliwack and 2 in Abbotsford), you can pick which location works best for you.

Enjoyed a great dinner with a friend. Apprciated not being pushed to leave so our table could be used for more costumers. Unfortuantely when we did leave we had a misfortune to deal with. The staff was so helpful when I went back into the restaurant and explained my situation. A big shout out of THANKS to all the staff that helped me out on Valentine's Day and didn't make us feel rushed. Looking forward another wonderful meal)

Went for a birthday dinner and tried to keep it lowkey but they servers went upon themselves to come out sing and bring out a dessert which I loved also I ordered the steak (rare) and lemme tell y’all that was one incredible steak and the customer service is on another world so good best customer service you’ll find anywhere I will definitely be coming back

Arrived at the Langdon location and was told it will be an hour wait. The owner of that location told us we can go to the SFW location down the street an he will have e a table waiting for us.
We arrive an a table is waiting.
Amazing service right there.
Then the service we recieved during dinner was fantastic.
Food was delicious and we always leave with leftovers.
Overall great experience, and highly recommend for a great night and amazing food.

I've eaten at both Abbotsford locations and the food is plenty and great tasting, be sure to have an appetite before you get there, because you'll be full when you leave. You won't be disappointed when you leave, but you'll definitely go back.

Happened to visit Greek Island for office Christmas dinner. The ambience was good and the staff excellent. The food is very tasty, loved the Caesar Salad and roasted potatoes. The portions of food served is large. The Greek platter for 2 can be comfortably shared between three people (unless two people have voracious appetite). Mousaka is generally said either to be a hit or miss and at this place it’s a hit. This place is not very costly and worth every dollar you spend.

5 stars for the service alone, the level of customer service is exceptional they really take pride in their restaurant and their customers! I was not a huge fan of the steak that I ordered (more salty than flavourful for me) but their fries were amazing. My only recommendation would be to pass out the bread with the drinks while we are waiting for our food rather than us having to ask ;), I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu to find my favourite.

Only problem is that it's overpriced for the quality in comparison to other Greek restaurants. The service here was also really bad.

We went for dinner last night and Angela, our server, was ABSOLUTELY wonderful. She was happy, attentive, cared about what we wanted and she was a total professional. She made our dinner experience AMAZING. The food exceeded our expectations as well as the service.

The food was good but there service was a bit of a mess. I specifically ordered a dinner for pick up at 5: 30 I show up a few minutes early and I still don't have the meal ready until 5: 45. Then I don't have the sauce I specifically ordered to be on the side. They just didn't include it at all. You'd think with more than an hours notice they'd be more on the ball.

Havent been in a while but must go again, I grew up in some of the most awesome food atmospheres, most people dont know my Dad started one of the most awesome submarine franchises long before Jared, Subway etc.
The SUBSTOP was the place to go, home of the 5 foot sub etc, while I'm digressing the point of my review is that restaurants that have longevity are there for a reason.good food, good staff etc Greek Islands is always on my list.

Even though the menu clearly states *vegan and vegetarian items available upon request*. When I requested I was informed of all the egg and cheese-filled menu items, and the hummus with pitas which *might* be vegan. I give them an A for effort but when it actually comes to eating food effort means nothing if it's not followed up with any action.

What else can you say the food is excellent the service is excellent.make sure to book a reservation cuz this place fills up fast

Today we ordered from Greek Islands for a Father’s Day meal for 8 people. We ordered the amazing platters, which has so much food! Well, I went to the restaurant to pick it up, and went home. As soon as I got home, the restaurant called me back and said that I left behind half my meal. I was setting up the table for dinner, so asked if they had delivery. They didn’t, but this time they were going to send someone. I believe it was an owner that showed up at my house, with the platter, a huge smile, and a gift card for the inconvenience! What AMAZING customer service! It matches their top notch quality of food! Thank you so much for our perfect Father’s Day meal!

Really odd that this place has such rave reviews considering its largely faux Greek food at real Greek food prices. The Greek salad dressing was not Greek at all. Some thick gooey stuff you'd find in a bottle from the grocery store. The food was however quite tasty, though extremely salty. I had to wake up twice at night to drink more water because I was so dehydrated from all the salt. The pita was terrible, just terrible - one bite was enough. Overpriced faux Greek but fantastic servers.
