We needed a large play yard resurfaced for a daycare playground and not only did they exceed our expectations but they were able to place a beautiful apple shape in the center to represent our daycare “red apple daycare” amazing staff, excellent service and the grounding is incredible for children!

Amazing quality, they added some cute shapes and colors, the kids love it, easily maintained, its a year later and the colors are still just as vibrant! Also a really great group of employees, they handled everything for us!

Nelson and his crew did an excellent job on our driveway. The old driveway was in very poor condition. The new rubber driveway looks beautiful.

We had a concrete driveway that was badly cracked and uneven and in need of replacing or resurfacing. We did our due diligence and decided on rubber resurfacing. We obtained 4 quotes and decided on Green Tech. It wasn’t the lowest quote but one of them and Nelson was the most professional and congenial estimator that we dealt with.
The Green Tech crew arrived exactly as scheduled and finished on time. They had us review the work before they left and we noticed a couple of minor issues. They dealt with them promptly and completed the work to our complete satisfaction. We are completely happy with the end result and have had numerous complements from our friends and neighbours!

I usually do not write reviews but had to for this. To describe Nelson and his team in one word is "fantastic". They did an awesome job installing the rubber surfacing underneath an outdoor play area "jungle gym" at my backyard. Having built the DIY gym for my 5-year-old, I later realized the risks of falling onto the concrete surface, especially head injuries. After lot of research and considering different DIY options like rubber mats, mulch etc, I decided to go with the rubber surfacing. Not only it looks great but with 3 inches of rubber, it provides adequate protection from falls. I’m very pleased and would not hesitate recommending Green Tech to anyone. Green Tech transformed our pool deck and backyard area from ugly mismatched surfaces into a great looking uniform back yard. The colours we chose worked out perfectly. The surface is easy to clean, soft to walk on and doesn't get too hot in the summer.

Greentech Resurfacing did a great job of resurfacing our concrete driveway. The existing driveway was moderately cracked, and heaving a bit (some slabs were up to about 1" higher than the adjacent slabs). The new driveway looks perfect and has totally hidden the old driveway's issues.

They did the resurfacing just under 1 year ago. Since then we have been through the hottest heat spell the Lower Mainland has ever seen (40 degrees at our place), and one of the coldest winters ever (down to -16 degrees). Extreme temperature are the ultimate test of a product like this rubber driveway, and it performed with no problems. The concrete slabs underneath still heave up and down a bit (moving by about 1" between summer and winter), but the rubber surface has flexed with that movement without issue.

Overall I definitely recommend a rubber resurfacing from Greentech, but here's some pros and cons to consider:

PROS:
- It looks great
- It's soft when walking on it; shoes are totally optional if it's dry and clean
- It doesn't get excessively hot in the summer, even if it's black. Rubber is such a poor conductor of heat, so even if it's at a high temperature it won't feel hot.
- It hides all the imperfections of the underlying driveway without the cost of removing the old driveway
- It can be various different colours, including mixes and patterns

CONS (note: these are all quite minor) :
- It stinks after the install (I think it's the smell of the glue). It's bad for a few days, and tapers off after that. However, it took about 9 months before I didn't notice it at all anymore.
- You need to make sure you don't do "dry turns" on it (turning your steering wheel while not moving). Doing this will rip out bits of the rubber. If you do it enough times in the same spot you will eventually get an indent. Unfortunately you can't stop everyone from doing this (such as delivery drivers). If a lot of people use your driveway for turning around (as is the case with a neighbour of mine across the street), a rubber driveway would not be a good option for you.
- It's harder to clear debris off of it (compared to a concrete or asphalt driveway), whether using a broom, leaf blower, hose, etc. This is because it's a very porous surface that leaves, needles, sand, etc can easily get stuck in. I find that it takes about 50% longer to clean off than the old concrete surface.
- Doing car work on a rubber driveway has unique challenges. Jack stands will dig into the rubber and potentially leave marks under the weight of a car, so I now use plywood boards under the stands to prevent this. For my wheeled hydraulic jack I use 1/8" sheets of metal under it. Plywood is too thick to easily wheel the jack onto, and plywood tends to crack/break as the wheels move across it when under load. When doing fluid changes on a car (engine oil, transmission oil, etc) you have to be really careful not to drip/spill any onto the rubber driveway. Not only are these fluids bad for the surface, they're also really hard to clean up because the driveway is so porous. I use large sheets of cardboard under all work areas now.
- Over time tire marks become slightly noticeable. On light-coloured rubber coatings it's especially noticeable because the black tires make black marks. But even on our driveway, which is mostly pure black, the parts that are driven on are slightly noticeable after a year of use: the sheen is a little different. This is very minor, but something to keep in mind. It's not something you would get on a concrete or asphalt driveway.

Overall the pros definitely outweigh the cons for me, and probably will for most people, so I highly recommend Greentech. Despite the minor cons listed above, I still give them 5 stars.

While looking to resurface my driveway, garage, and patio we chose a recycled rubber surface not only for its looks and durability, but it was the most environmentally friendly product available. After meeting with several companies, we chose Nelson from Greentech Resurfacing. The job was done by a very professional crew in 1 day and on time. I am writing this review 6 months after the job because over this last cold spell and snow the surface was great! It was easy to clear because the surface did not freeze up and we didn’t have to put salt down on the rubber surface which would have been harmful to the dog.

We had originally had a concrete stair job that went south, horrible job and the concrete was a horrible colour! We contacted Green Tech to see what options we had and I can't say enough about how our front stairs look with the rubber coating, would highly recommend! During the winter, there is no need to use salt for icy stairs they are just not slippery at all. Looks great, and it's been almost 5 years now and they still look amazing.

We needed the pool deck upgraded from a very slippery and dirty exposed aggregate and found Green Tech online. The rubber was ordered and in a couple weeks on the next dry day, his great team was mixing and laying the new deck. We inquired couple of venders and finally hired Nelson and his team to do our pool deck, nelson is very professional and easy to communicate, he gave me various options and align with our budget, finally they paved our pool deck within a month, our pool deck looks like brand new now, I can't wait for next summer to enjoy our pool with kids! Nelson and the Green Tech Resurfacing Team rubber re-paved our driveway and walkways this April. They provided the best pricing, and ultimately great service. They did an excellent job, were on time, and completed the job in one day.

We hired this company to cover our driveway with recycled rubber 5 years ago. We loved it but found a problem once they sealed the product. The company came to look at it agreed there was a situation that they insisted on correcting. After 5 years this company stood by their warranty and within a short period of time resurfaced our driveway and did a great job once again. We would highly recommend this company.

They surfaced our exposed aggregate pool deck and the difference is amazing. They were really good to work with, and did an excellent job. I'm glad we had them do the job. Because the pool room looks amazing.

I had Green Tech Resurfacing apply their rubber product to my cracking double driveway and front walkway in North Delta, several years ago. My wife and I were very pleased with the quality of the product, the workmanship, price and customer service provided by Nelson. We liked the product so much that we contacted Nelson again, about 4 years ago, to extend the application of Green Tech rubber covering to the sidewalk and back yard patio area. Again, we were very happy with job done, pricing and quality of work. This May (2020) I had to cut out a small section (10” x 10”) of the rubber coating in order to remove and replace a (4” x4”) fence post that anchored the gate to our rear yard. This left a small area around the fence post that had no rubber coating. I contacted Nelson again to see if I could purchase a small amount of the rubber material so I could do the patch job myself. To my surprise, Nelson sent out not only the material to do the patch job but also an employee, Chris, to actually do the patch job professionally. All at no cost to me. That speaks to the professionalism, excellent customer service and desire to make sure any repair or maintenance to keep their product the best it can be is important to this company and it’s employees. Nelson is very professional in his presentation which we really appreciated. We were re doing our back yard and looked at many options for surfaces including turf, asphalt, pavers, concrete.the best choice was a rubberized surface. We had Nelsons crew install a fun bright green/blue/black rubber on 800sq feet. Its the kids play space with a playground on top, basketball area, soccer nets, you name it! Its super easy to clean even for my backyard which has tons of tree debris. I highly recommend GreenTech to any one considering a fun zone in their backyard. I mean none of my friends have ever had their back yard space converted to a rubberized surface but its the best! So I am suggesting it to all my friends!
