They hire ppl of certain ethnic that forget their training, don't know the laws such as showing their license apon request, they provoke violence, they don't assess situations properly before hand, power hungry, 0% interpersonal skills, stand within personal space to intimidate and create an unsafe space for both parties, company refuses to provide license of those reported.

Do not use their service, I promise u will regret it.

I had a very bad experience about Guardtek gaurd working at Shoppers drug mart Abbotsford Seven oaks mall. I went there looking for work and gaurd is asking me to leave the premises. I asked for his ID and he is not carrying his license even. Is it a crime to ask for work? I have filed a police complaint.

Yall have a person working for yall named drew who threatened me and pulled on my hood and threatened to punch me so this is horrible company atm tbh

Not very diverse, they pretty much just hire brown people. I wish they would be more multicultural like the rest of Vancouver!

I would not recommend this company for ANY event, no matter the size… Not sure if the staff members do not receive proper training (not even the “managers” on site) or if that’s the way how they operate. We had an incident last night that was handled terribly by one female staff member and the manager. They chose to go physical with my friend over using proper communication… The management team of the place we were at apologized for what happened. Definitely not good for the reputation of the business.

We were in a concert yesterday night. When the performer came down from the stage and tried to interact with the audience, some of the audience stood on the stairs.one of the security guard from this company were so rude. He used flash light and kept flashing into people’s eyes which was very uncomfortable. He also pushed the audience so hard and one of them even got pushed onto the floor! The security were swearing all the time and kept pushing people. This is unacceptable! Security is to protect safety, but all they do is put people in danger and no manner at all!

I worked with them in their Edmonton location when they first came to Edmonton. They made me quit my $50k job a year and come work for them. I excepted the offer, one week into working I got assaulted by one of my coworkers. He was fired and they told me that they will call me when they get better site. That happened like 3 month ago and I have never hear from them. I texted them so many times but there was no response. The problem is I still have the uniform. Just don’t waste your time with this company

This job almost cost me my life. Fentanyl exposure is a real danger on some sites and my superiors did NOTHING when I was exposed and almost overdosed. $16.50 is not worth your life.

Solid shout out to the security guy who helped a man under the influence who had fallen and could not get up. Security approached him so calmly, no questions asked just reached out his arms and lifted him up, walked him off to a safe spot and so slowly. A job is a job but when someone shows compassion and patience like that, they need to be recognized and rewarded. To many time we see aggression towards the less fortunate. Just wanted to share that. Who ever you were, hats off to you.

The staff who manage the emails and phone calls need to kick out of the company. Because they don’t wanna listen to you they just getting paid for nothing.
They talk very rudely.

On October 31st 2022 I was attending the Jessie reyez concert. Before Jessie reyez come out I was wrongfully dragged out of the venue by a security guard named ARUN, he works for Guardteck Burnaby. The orphreum hired this company to work this event. Lucky I had a nice conversation with a filipino lady working the doors for the orphreum, wonderful lady. She was the only one out of all the employees there that stood up for me from this security guard trying to get me kicked out. (Which they didn’t cause I did nothing wrong) When the show was over I had went over and took all their information down and the company they work for. These wonderful girls one being kaylee came up to defend my girlfriend and I against the security guards, as they were manhandling all these young girls there. Within seconds a series of unfortunate events happened for kaylee, a young indigenous woman. These security guards forcefully removed us from the building and kept kaylee locked inside where they then called VPD on her. I stayed out side the venu for half an hour, trying to make sure she was okay. All the officers refused to give me her info or were she was being Taken. This young women was experiencing police brutality and there was absolutely nothing we could do. Kaylee deserves justice, she was standing up against these workers for my girlfriend and I. My question is Why didn’t we get arrested? Why didn’t they detain us? Was it because we did not look like a minority? Why? ……. These awful security guards and police officers targeted Kaylee because of her ethnicity and the employees of the orphreum stood there and watched it happen, what a horrible experience. Nobody should ever go through what kaylee experienced that night

I hope the guard that manhandled and used unnecessary excessive force on an Aboriginal female at the Jessie Reyes concert on October 31st is held accountable for his actions. Jessie her self saw it happen, stopped the show and ever did a breathing exercise with him to calm him down. He didn't understand what she was saying obviously because 2 minutes later I witnessed him forcefully drag the poor lady out of the venue. Completely disgusted with your company. Do better.

Wonderful work environment in the office, lots of activities and games to kill stress in those stressful hours. They truly stands for "We build people".

Awful staff and awful management, I wouldn't trust them to secure my business, as they act in racism way to whoever doesn't belong to their.nationality

I love working with Guardteck! The management is really great and helpful.
Supervisors is chill and the guards is really friendly and enthusiastic people. Salary is not too bad. I just hope they pay more though but hey You'll have a chance to work in biggest festivals like Bass Coast and Shambala.

Head Office is like a headless chicken running around. Pay is garbage to today's prices and standards. The people you work with are great but the management is so picky.

Guarantee you that half the reviews here are left by employees that are being forced or paid to leave good reviews!

The mobile guard at strawberry hill follows my gf and sister everyday when ever i come over here. Continuously keeps standing at back of my car without any reason. This is not what i expect from security company. I even worked for Guardteck for 2 years.

I was busking outside of the liqour barnin abbotsford a few years ago and theyve done a great job watching it.since I was the busker they kicked out a few years ago.now since otter co op took over it looks likes I can busk again, Also welcome back the junkies huzzah.

Guardteck is the best security company to manage jobs with them. Their group is in every case overall quite helpful. The greater part is their Managers are always cooperative with workers constantly. They generally comprehend workers' circumstances and are prepared to help.

I apologize for bad spelling i believe the amazing man i had the pleasure to meet yesterday was yesun (prolly spelt it wrong) This amazing man had found my phone he was overheard by a woman claiming it was hers so he smartly asked her to prove it by phoning the number she left. (Luckly i save my parents home number under the name home) Yesun then looked and phoned my home number located though emergency numbers (available at the lock screen on Samsung phones) he was able to phone my mum. My mum was able to meet up and retrieve my phone after proving it was her daughters aka mine by phoning the number.

Thank you for the amazing and quick thinking work of this amazing guardteck security employee i was able to get my phone returned! I cant say enough great things about this!

Shaun with Guardteck Security is the absolute best hands down. An incredible security company to have in your corner offered outstanding customer service. Mr. Wilsons customer and client care is second to none. Whenever I had questions or concerns they were addressed immediately and in a professional manner. Great Security company! Thus far my experience with them has been awesome. They are effective and always responsive. Managment really embraces the customer service experience. All in all, a security company you can rely on.

I went to staples near surrey central mall around 6pm, the guard kept starring and kept touching his mustache which was very awkward and isn’t professional at all. Guards shouldn’t be starring at people at all specially in such a creepy way. I made a disgusting look towards him but he kept starring.

It's my second day interacting with Mr. Wilson, Shaun at the Guardteck office as I'm doing my orientation. Based on this experience so far, I feel Mr. Wilson and Guardteck is very supportive and helpful. I got the positive vibes and I'm happy with the presentation and about the things I'm informed about Guardteck culture.

The orientation was a great way to learn about the culture the guardteck company have with their clients and the guards. It is a great opportunity to work under them.

They have an Area Manager by the name of Dan Halber in Calgary who almost caused me my EI benefits when he had no work to offer me. He made up lies about me also

Guard at Vancouver Playhouse on 2019-06-13,22: 25 hrs was making a personal call on his cell phone in Punjabi, while ignoring patrons and his duties.honestly an embarrassment to the security industry.

I work for Guardteck and they are worst in payroll department. I would never recommend working at Guardteck. It has been a month and a half since i get my pay cheque and i already called 7 times, every-time they say the same thing that they will do something. Is it too hard for them to give me my pay cheque? Worst payroll department i have ever seen

They didn’t pay for the shifts I worked for them, when I asked them the reason they said do whatever you want to do we will not pay.worst security company I came across. I read reviews of them using force, in their orientation they ask their guards to use force that is why they do it, which is totally against the law. If you are new in canada, I will not recommend this company because they will misuse their power and will not pay you.

The Vice President of this company, Shaun Wilson, repeatedly harassed my friend (calling her 5 times in a 15 minute period) and then subsequently berated her in a voice mail message when she was not available to take his phone call. This came after my friend had contacted the company through their website to express some concerns they had following a show at the QE Theatre where GuardTeck was working as security. My friend has since filed a complaint against GuardTeck with the Registrar of Security Services and also retained a lawyer and intends on suing the company. I am so incredibly proud of my friend for standing up to this despicable man and even more proud of her for not falling victim to their tough guy intimidation tactics.

The brown guy who was working at pit pub he dont know how to behave we were just asking for ticket he started abusing us said met me outside

Sean Gonabadi, Shaahyer, David Ben, Sparsh, Yusuf and I think so all staff are really helpful. Its my first experience of working in the field of security-events and I really ejnoying alot. Bradd and Chris they are also a empathize person. Sparsh, he is a professional and helpful person and I learn self discipline from him. Sean and Shaahyer have alwayz smile on face even they are in stressful situation. I wish this company grow and glow, whether I am working with it or not. Even who are at my level specially students they are also helpful and doing great job.

This company comes across as a very enticing and great all around gig. They tell you all the great jobs at events like concerts and such.
Problem is that the events organized. The guards around you are not even close to competent. Ie. Women or 120 pound guys attempting to control grown men.
It's all due to incompetency right from the top
I.e. They post openings for events like a beer festival and its first click first go.
People have thrown eggs at the guards. Laughed at them and belittled them.
No guard can stick up for each other because it's a hands of policy and they're against regular or big sized men.
Please be careful with what you get into.
